Hey Mel, I actually bought the Vanilla Luxe hobnail candle last year. I finished it this September, cleaned it out and now using the hobnail glass for a hurricane for my Kringle/Country candles. I use a large candle sleeve when burning the Luxe candles. It definitely works wonders for a more even burn. Great purchase price for sure. Have a great week!!🙂🪵🍁🌲
@@MrKongsMom Reusing the containers makes it look like the original candle is still burning! Beautiful!!🙂 I was going to tell you….I was half finished with a Luxe Winter Fireside candle. So I decided I wanted to crock the rest (because HW candles make my voice sound terrible). I softened the Luxe candle in the oven (lowest setting) for about 20 minutes and Found…that the part of the candle that the wicks are in is clear hard paraffin wax and about 1 1/2” around the perimeter of the core wax is the white softer wax “the blended wax”. This totally surprised me and I then knew why my voice sounded hoarse because paraffin wax affects me that way. I do not know if all HW Luxe candles are made this way but I thought this find was interesting to share with you. It also takes hours to melt the crocked Winter Fireside wax since it is more than half paraffin wax. I warmed it once to blend the wax again. Anyway, just wanted to share that “find”. Hey Melanie, happy Sunday, Pumpkin Apple was an amazing candle. It is backup worthy. You need to "Betty Crocker" your candles. GC has that relatively new line, same with their Wizard of Oz collection. Thank you for the insight about losing your train of thought, me being 44 now makes aging another stage in life. I'm predicting more body discomforts in the future. Anyways, I have some sad news, my HW Farmstand Peach soap is virtually gone :( I can't believe they charge $12.00 for a 22 ounce bottle online. Least I have it in body wash form. BBW Fireside is struggling, I'll do what I can to save it without a crock. SW Sugar Cookie (vanilla bean, buttercream, spun sugar, sugar crystals) will be next. When you live on the west coast, it can be at least 100 degrees for up to a week before getting back down to 80. GC's Cold Autumn Leaves will be done very soon and the retired medium jar of YC's Pumpkin Apple Parfait from 2019 will be next. Nice roundup. Sprinkled Macaroons! Oh wait, Macarons.
I've been seeing farm stand peach in all of my TJ Maxx/Marshalls/HomeGoods stores in my area. And they are only 4.99 to 5.99. haven't seen the body wash though, just the hand soap. They had hot cider donut in the body wash for 7.99 or 8.99 I think. Just letting you know in case you may be able to find it for cheaper
Great stuff, Melanie! This week I was burning BBW Pumpkin Spice Latte, HW Autumn Pumpkin Patch and HW Farmstand Pumpkin - at the same time, right next to each other. Individually the strength and throw of each was pretty sad, but together they combined to make “one” decent candle. Oh well, moved em through the system faster. I also picked up four backups of Cozy Sunday Night! I love the scent and the packaging - I have a lot of browns and cream tones in my decor, so it fits right in.
Oh gosh! That is quite the trio to make one decent candle lol! Nothing worse than a group of duds ha! But it is a way to get through them huh? Cozy Sunday Night is absolutely gorgeous!
It was the week of apple and pumpkin for me! I burned through a bar of scentsy bright cider life, baked apple pie, and porch pumpkin. I also burned through a bbw fall apple cider, and homeworx pumpkin berry waffle and autumn pumpkin. I can not wait for rain this week. I’m already planning to whip out the crockpot and make some hearty beef stew.
I am missing pumpkin berry waffles this year. I need to look and see if I happen to have one or two of the old hobnails left. I hope I do. It's gorgeous!
I had a four wick Homeworx in the hobnail glass that didn't have a gasket. I forgot about that fact when I flipped it over to see what scent it was, and the lid hit my basement floor and went off like a bomb. 😳 Months later, I am still finding glass shards. Speaking of luxe candles at QVC, I've noticed a huge variety of them on sale price recently. Fingers crossed, they'll start turning up in the discount stores in the future. 🤞🏻🍀
Im glad wicked vanilla woods gives you the same vibes and good feelings it does for me! i wish it were stronger too 🥲 im so bummed because i was just going to lamp it but two hurricanes hit us in a row and ripped the power system out of my walls.. i called in my electric company but they're so busy fixing the whole state.. they turned the power on in my neighborhood a few days ago and it blew up a lamp, my fridge, my chest freezer, my wifi router, and several bulbs 😵💫 we turned the power completely off after that because my house will 100% burn down otherwise. So were living like pilgrims over here.. The house has been 93 degrees inside 🫠 it suckssss. Thank god we have one cool day today! Im just praying they come fix the system soon and i wont have lost too many appliances. All this to say i miss my lamp and wax melts so much. Because of the flooding it stinks so bad and its deteriorating my brain i swear.. I need a strong throw or I'm going to lose my mind. 😅
I just got in the Scentsy Disney Signature Treats box collection (all 5 are gourmands) in a cute box and cute artwork on the bars. I got it just basically for the Glazed Almond Dreams (love almond scents) and on cold it’s my favorite of the bunch, but they are all nice. After this I’m cutting myself off from buying much for the rest of this year…I have so much wax to warm which I’m not complaining about.🍬

I’m using my wax melter more for those candles with misbehaving wicks. This week I finished Kringle’s Dreadful Dolly, Sinister, & Pumpkin Peppercorn; Witch City Wicks Autumn Witch and Coffee (fairly pricey & very basic scents to my nose). Thanks for the feedback on BBW’s PSL-passed on that one. I’m still searching for a good PSL since I missed out on Kringle’s PSL (dreaded coupon situation). Enjoy your weekend & upcoming week. Yay! Better late than never. I'm finally burning Kringle Sprinkled Macaroons (Macarons) and omg! Im really tempted to purchase a backup, just checked the website, its restocked, this is wonderful!!! For the month of October Im burning Kringle Halloween candles from last year, but will switch back to my Homeworx Berry Pumpkin Waffles and Spiced White Pumpkin.

70! We spent the first half of October hitting 100 everyday and we finally had 80’s the last couple of days and I’m so relieved!
