Let Jesus Do the Heavy Lifting in Your Life (feat. The Sisters of Life)

- Fr. Mark-Mary and Sr. Mariae Agnus Dei talk about how to let love deal with your “stuff”.
We all have things we struggle with-it’s just a part of being human. But if we don’t let love into our struggles, they’ll never be healed. When we let love in, we find peace, healing, and hope in our trials. When we run to cover our struggles with anything else, all we’ll find is emptiness.
So, how can we let love deal with our stuff? We have to start with faith. If you look at the miracles in the Gospels, every miracle is preceded by faith. God has us at all times, and is never without control. The first step in accepting his love for us is to trust that he is going to take care of us and our struggles.
The next step is to give God your struggles and all the “stuff” you’re ashamed of. The hunger that God has for our hearts is infinitely greater than we could ever imagine. He not only desires all of our talents and gifts, but our failures and struggles.
Try these four things to give your stuff to God, and let love into your struggles:
1. Set aside 10 minutes a day and be honest with God, telling him all the things you’re struggling with.
2. Ask God what he thinks about your stuff, and just listen.
3. Ask God what you should do about your stuff, and again just listen to what he has to say.
4. Thank God, and trust that he has heard your prayer. Know that he will help you through this.
God never misses an opportunity to help us. Let love transform your life and your struggles first through prayer and faith, then through actions and miracles.

Sr. Mariae Agus Dei grew up in my state. She is a friend of mine. She has always spoke with such kindness, spoke with much love. Her family is great. Her twin, also a friend of mine is kind and loving.

I believe that we're in the end times that is why God is calling us back to Him.
I've watched this a number of times and the thing that sticks out to me the most now is that phrase "happily defeated." I've prayed with it.. like God, let me be happily defeated by You.
Sometimes I let myself be happily defeated by Him. A lot of times I don't. So I'll pray that again.
Also, when the Lord is inviting me or it just kind of starts happening, to give to Him my anxieties or fears or expectations or hopes or even sometimes the satisfaction I want to credit to myself for praying or trying to do a good work, I have sometimes imagined Him... within my heart which He makes spacious.. like, straight up eating my stuff. Like playfully taking a big honkin' bite and going "omnomnom" and saying something funny like "THAT'S the stuff" or "Mmm that was good!" So this video has surely blessed me and contributed to those wonderful moments shared. And I mean they're more than wonderful. They're efficacious. It's deep stuff.
I share it most of all because I want everyone to know that the Lord is good, and can speak to us any number of ways, and be intimate with us in all kinds of ways. Like a protective Father who warns or exhorts, and also as a playful, and pure friend and confidant. He can speak through our sight. He can let us see and know through sound(s) and of course.. through silence.
Please don't shortchange yourself, or God. Some people say "I'm not a mystic or anything..." Oh? Have you ever prayed to God? Have you ever received anything back from Him, at all? If you have and have, then very cool! You're a mystic.
Lord we love You for Your Peace and in the quiet and the Light You give us! Please give us all eyes to see and ears to hear you, especially where we are most unseeing or unhearing or hardened, and also where we are closest to seeing and hearing and just need a gentle extra nudge of grace! Our Lady of Grace, we love you, please pray for us.

P.S. - Y'all know about the Hallow app right? There is a 21 day consecration to St. Joseph that started May 1st, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. The first day was great and I'm incredibly hopeful and excited about it for myself and others and who we with God's help might touch going forward! Don't really like to read about or mention a saint without asking their intercession, so, St. Joseph patron saint of all laborers, pray for us and our coworkers and all those without work or underpaid, and all those who withhold wages! Amen.
God loves you, even with the thing or things you might think He can't love you with. And His Love can and will break through for you. Just keep asking seeking knocking, or if all you can do is repeat His name Jesus, Lord Jesus... He draws nigh! I read an article about 4 saints who experienced His Sacred Heart, and He said to one of them.. "Whoever breathes a sigh toward me, draws Me to Himself." Think about that! And Mary is the greatest imitator of Jesus... so whoever breathes a sigh toward Mary.. she responds accordingly. Peace, Forever Family. Heard that a few weeks ago, and I am the prayer plagiarist and remixer, so I use it now. :-]
Also! Fr. Mark! In another video, you led up to a good prayer you shared with us. It was
"Father, I give You permission to take what I am not strong enough to give."
I remixed it a couple times with "wise enough" or "willing enough" and stuff. And then, one day I was feeling brazen and prayed
"Father, I give You permission to give me what I am not ____ enough to receive." Maybe strong again, maybe willing, ready, etc for the blank.
If anyone is feeling courageous. Those are two good prayers which the Lord will answer.
I almost never intend to write even a quarter of the size of comments I often end up writing. Such is the life of a young man who doesn't have (or doesn't feel comfortable or courageous reaching out more) people in the flesh to talk to about His faith in depth! It's all good though. I have not been lonely :-]

THIS IS MY TESTIMONY
Over the years I tried to follow Jesus, but every time I tried I got these terrible blasphemous thoughts came to my head.. since that, my walk with the Lord stopped because I thoughts those were mine. Just a month ago Jesus woke me up from being lukewarm and since then I follow him 100%. But with that these blasphemous thoughts even came harder. It got to the point where I thought it would be good for me to go to hell. I cried so hard. BUT EVERY TIME I FELT DISCOURAGED GOD STRENGTHENED ME❤️ The Lord let me understand that his grace is so much bigger than my sins and that the devil tries to attack my mind so that I would become discouraged. He IS the father of all lies. I just needed to The cast my cares upon the Lord and He delivered me from the evil one. To everyone who is reading this, you got this! Jesus got you!❤️🙏🏻
Yes, I have gone through the bad thought momment too. The devil tries to fill us with negativity so we become discouraged from trusting in God.
Daily mass and frequent confession is the blaster to these evil attacks. Well is what has helped me!
Between Fr. Mark-Mary and Sr. Mariae Agnus you can tell there is so great a friendship of charity and earnest devotion for Jesus Christ - it’s as if they have but one heart and one mind. Through Fr. Mark-Mary and Sr. Mariae Agnus, Christ is performing great works. Glory be to God!! :)

I am torn! I want a good catholic husband and children but I also long to be a nun!
Neither are options at this time!
If I am to be a nun I would desire it to be a FSSP rite (as it's unchanging) but there are no Nuns (at this time), only priests under this order....
And, I still haven't met any decent single catholic men. Lots of non-Catholic men but I truly desire to marry someone of the same faith so we can help each other get to heaven..
I know God wants me to Trust Him. But I sure wish (pray) God would heal and guide me and so I can move forward with one of the above vocation/state in life. 😇

I think the hardest part is being real with Jesus. It can feel like how can He love me despite my poor choices, negative emotions, and negative personality traits.
My goodness this. I feel GUILTY sometimes trying to give Jesus my burdens because I know I am nowhere near the perfect human being and I just don’t feel like I deserve that type of love from Him.
@@Oddssss What I don't understand is why Jesus would forgive us for our intentional sins. I understand sometimes I make genuine mistakes where I legitimately did not know any better. It's even harder to believe God still loves me and is willing to forgive me when I'm being a terrible person. I'll never understand that kind of mercy.

I don't know how to make it a dialogue. When I try to be quite and listen after saying my piece my mind races and wanders like crazy and even trying to bring myself back to quiet only works for .000005 seconds before it's already latched on to some other totally random thing that usually has nothing to do with the things I'm trying to talk to God about.
U did it. God heard your wander and your confusion. He forgave you any wrong as u tried so hard2hear him. You did a good prayer!💖
I learnt lectio divina from a pair of sisters from the Verbum Dei community, honestly changed my life! Start with a prayer to the Holy Spirit asking Him to guide you and give you light to hear God’s Word (I like the prayer “Speak Lord, your servant is listening)”.
You choose a passage or passages from the Bible (either mass readings, or just let the Spirit choose by flipping through randomly). Then you read them, the first time just to see what’s literally happening in the passage (for example, Jesus walking on the water).
Then you read a second time slowly, and allow God to point out certain things to you (what stuck out for me while I was reading this passage?). For example, maybe it was the verse about Jesus making if to pass the disciples by, or the word “immediately” as Jesus pulled Peter out of the water. Or maybe it was the faith of Peter stepping out onto the water!
Next, I pray about why the verse or words stuck out to me. I usually just ask “Lord, why are you showing me this?” Or “What does this mean?”. For example, when I was struggling with trust in God, I did lectio divina on the passage of Jesus walking on water and pulling Peter out after he started sinking. The word that struck me was “immediately”, because it showed me the heart of God for protecting and saving those who call out to Him. The prayer part of lectio divina will reveal something to you that’s personal about your life, so it’ll not only be different for every person, it’ll also be different every time you’re doing lectio divina, granted that you’re growing in faith, hope, and love.
Overall, this whole process should take about half an hour (which is an indulgence granted by the Church so I would aim for that). You finish by thanking God for His love and for speaking to you. If you’re struggling, ask Mother Mary to help you hear Jesus speak as she heard Him speak all His life. Ask God for the grace to make the changes He’s asking you to make and go in peace!

I suggest you try the Liturgy of the Hours. It helped me a lot. It's structured prayer and it guides you, especially when you don't know what to say/pray.
I highly recommend them... And so does our Church 😉
