Wow your words spoken so freely reaching deep inside finding new meaning. Inspired by this reading to keep feeding the insatiable inner demon. Poetry to the world, soul connections taking hold.. Thank You Andrea!!
I honestly do not know what to say to this. Her words are just so beautiful, and powerful, and I feel like nothing I can say will ever properly describe how much this moved me. I am crying right now, and I don't know whether I'm sad or happy, or maybe both. Just beautiful.
I love slam poetry, and so much of it touches my heart. But it rarely makes me cry or even tear up. This, however, struck a nerve. It's so beautiful and Andrea is so beautiful, I just couldn't help but cry while watching this.
These video's take me back to my days of poetry writing and debate speaking, and as good as i felt being up there I feel so much more when I watch these. The passion, the words, the concept and boldness of it all mixed with humor is what makes it so unforgetable and amazing. The person speaking the words is what makes it move our bodies and souls, the expression and gestures and change in pitch and volume and sounds is what makes it truly art. Bravo!
a girl in central park watches a boy write poems. As he writes, he moves. My heart beats in time with the scratch of his pencil across paper. I watch sometimes.
@annawee3 I was realizing the other night while watching a few videos over again (for the millionth time) that the moon is almost a constant theme in her poems. I wonder if it has a more deep-rooted meaning aside from light and self?
there are things we know by heart, and things we don't, at 13 my friend Jen try to teach me how to blow rings of smoke, I watch the nicotine rising from her lips like halos, but I ... could never make dying beautiful

Bravo!
Her words are so powerful. She makes me cry every time.
That background song just heightens the emotion behind this and it makes me cry.
"We all have different reasons for forgetting how to breathe."
Said so matter-of-factly, yet so deep. Beautiful.
This is perfect. 0 dislikes; that's right
Her poetry resonates on a level below consciousness. My head may not understand it, but my heart does.
Her words make me homesick for places I don't know.
That may have been the most beautiful "y'all" I've ever heard.
This is beautiful 3
I love her i swear
I want that background song so bad! It's the same as in "Milos" by Anis Mojgani! Love it Andrea!
