Bugoy is another of those wonderfully humble & warm personalities as you know, open and honest and without pretense. He attended college on a work study basis and was allowed to use the computer labs after hours during his custodial duties allowing him to study techniques on TH-cam to find and hone his style. It’s so easy to just fall into him and his voice
I'm praying that SB19 gets to feature Budakhel in some of their tours abroad. Budakhel did tours before, too, but because they are not a formal group, their performances together are so random. Before SB19, Bugoy, Michael, and Daryl were my "go to" male artists for OPM and it was a double pleasure when their trio collabed quite often before. For me, they are the Philippine R&B kings. When together, like SB19, Budakhel is a powerhouse and there's nobody in the world quite like them. These guys are wacky, too, their tv guestings and vlogs are so entertaining. They can even host their own show.
Bugoy D. break is when he won a TV singing competition , he is one of the best OPM artist. Love his voice. ❤
My favorite voice and member of Budakhel. Loved Bugoy before I heard SB19. Silky and raspy...how?! He used to do a lot of live yt and would sing whatever suggested. He is amazing.

I remember he once sang Unbelievable by Craig David in one of our local TV shows just before Craig David himself performed there. Craig actually took a moment to commend him for his great rendition of his song. For me, Bugoy is indeed special. ❤️
He also can pull off being in a group like Budakhel. That's Bugoy, Daryl Ong and Khel aka Michael Pangilinan. They did a lot of jamming sessions and recorded some songs together.

Love Bugoy because he has my all time favorite raspy voice but more than that he is also versatile.
He do his riffs and runs tastefully and doesn't overdo it which makes a listener wanting for more, compared to when a singer is not intentional in his techniques and just throws out riffs and runs every now and then which really throws off the audience. When he collab, though he has distinct voice, he really blends well and doesn't overpower others , but when his solo part comes he can very well show his vocal techniques too.

I just love that you kepp discovering our talents. If I have a favorite of Budakhels it would beba jamming on an after party. All they nees is a guitarman and they were singing whatevr they could think like a medley. They adjust whatever the guitasrist feels like doing. It was so fun taken only by a celphone it is in YT too.

I was surprised and proud of Justin whe he chose to sing this during the event. This song is a bit hard to cover. And like you said they have different voice, timbre wise and style. Bugoy has soulful husky/raspy voice, more on RNB while Justin is more on pop, like theatre pop.

Bugoy was the first runner-up of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. The grand winner didn’t want to be in the entertainment industry. She just needed the cash prize for a charity orgsnization which in a way got her a lot of sympathy (text) votes.
Bugoy was one of the guest artists at the launching of Wish USA. His Wish Bus performance of “One Day” has more than 100M views.
This song is ironic in the sense that his exGF is now his best friend. She’s a good singer too and they have lots of collabs.

Bugoy's voice is very strong. But it can also be quite gentle. Listen to his True Colors cover on the Wish Bus. Also, Bugoy is very down to earth and friendly as you described via your experience when he replied to your comment during his live. He has granted several reactors interviews, live as well online. He even took Dan of EAPFilms Official (a TH-cam reactor from the UK) Go-karting when he visited the Philippines. He is from the same region as I am (Bicol). Among the BuDaKhel trio, Bugoy is my most favourite.
