Loved this, Lima you are such a great presenter and always allow your guests to speak without interrupting them! Such a refreshing change. Pepe’ is a wonderful guy and is always so well informed and balanced in his reports. Thank you both so much. I’m British (now living elsewhere) and have never understood this hatred of Russia. When I listen to President Putin and watch the interviews of the troops in battle, I am left with nothing but admiration for Russia and its people. If only we had leaders like the Russian President in the west instead of the crass, ill informed ignorant idiots we have in power.

    Another extraordinary interview with the
    one and only Pepe Escobar!!!
    His broad based knowledge and
    experience with foreign affairs, geopolitics,
    geoeconomics and military matters, sets
him apart from so many other analysts.
I think that what he elaborated upon in
this podcast was all incredibly relevant
and highly accurate. It will be quite
interesting to see what results from
the BRICS conference in Kazan next
month. I suspect that Pepe’s insights
    about this momentous gathering of
the non- G7 nations, will be quite
prophetic. With all the high level
    contacts he has cultivated around
the world, his depth of understanding
as to what is going on behind the
scenes , is profound and always on
    point.
Sadly those in the West, as Pepe so
    eloquently pointed out, have no
ability to take seriously what the
Russians have warned about , over
and over again. This could well lead
the West to make some catastrophic
    miscalculations in their dealings with
Russia, with regard to the tragic
conflict in Ukraine. We might all pay
a terrible price for the West’s blunders!
We always get a much better understanding
of what is going on in the world, after
    listening to Pepe Escobar’s brilliant
    responses, to your thought provoking
    questions. Thank you Nima for
    continuing to invite Pepe Escobar
back, as a recurring guest on your
wonderful podcast. Keep up the good
    work!

You are right Pepe, we are all stunned. As a Swiss living in Africa, mostly Senegal, since 2008 I never thought that I would see 'my' Western world gone so far off the cliff. I can't even have normal conversations with my friends and family they have been so heavily propagandized.. Mind boggling. Whether the US/UK/Israel/EU/NATO all the red lines have been crossed and now we are in a huge red blood bath.

We here in the West all too often completely fail to appreciate how the actions and I actions of our governments appear to the other 85% of the world. They must be absolutely horrified by us, and especially our support for the I$raeli Gen0- cide. So much for our much vaunted 'Western values'!
The global south should have nothing to do with us.

"Serbia being strangled by Nato" - dear Pepe, you could not put it better and more precise! I will just add that people of Serbia are strangled, those on power just do as told, as it was Nato that brought them to these positions... For God's s sake, our military (if that's what we can call it) has yearly military joined exercises with Nato, and they start on 28.6. Whicj is our biggest and most important day of the year, called Vidovdan!!! Nothing more serbian that that! And yet, they do it. Talk about corruprion of the mind and soul.. I hope and wish, from the bottom of my heart, that we, the people, will find the way to be among brics nations! But we'll have to get rid of 24 years of brain washing and propaganda.. Day after day, who ever gets "elected" it's all the same.. Just like Biden/Trump "dilema"! But in Serbia it's even worse, as we are so sooo drilled from inside by us, german, french, israeli lobbies and intel services and we have too many players on the scene, people just do not know who works for whom!
Thank you for bringing Serbia on your list, Nema! And you, Pepe, my most informed man of the hour! Much love and respect from serbian Belgorod! ❤

Thank you again Nima. I think Pepe is well in tune with what's going on. Unfortunately, even though the US analysts talk a lot of sense, Pepe is on the money because he sees that it can quickly turn into a war of terror within Russia itself. No one knows that better than Mr Putin, and I think the British elite take an obscene pride in how effective their terror strategies can be. They still cling onto their empire somehow. In the past they had colonies, then they had a grip on the financial world and now as Ray would put it "they reach to the top shelf". Terror is a last and desperate attempt to act as America's Vassel using devices to inflict pain and fear and keep populations in check. It is a bit like the crucifix in Roman times. Then it was a symbol of oppression, as in... this is what will happen to you if you go against us! The UK is now a Garrison state, like Israel and Ukraine, except they have a King!
Symbolism is important in our lives. Michelangelo's Pieta is really a reflection of The Egyptian Goddess Isis holding Horace. The Coptic and Celtic crosses incorporate a circle because many pre-Christian cultures identified with the natural seasonal cycles. The Tudor rose is a blending of the houses of York and Lancashire. It is very difficult for humanity to cut ties completely with a previous culture or system to invest completely into a new system. The history of humanity is like the layers of an onion. You see it more clearly in recently more colonized countries like Papua New Guinea, where if you peel back their legal system, which is currently based on Australian law, you will find traces of Japanese and even German law. Languages are the same. Language systems cling onto the past and try to re-invent themselves as something completely new, but the forensics can always be traced to the origins.
I think the same is happening with our two major global economic systems. Even the western system alone has morphed inside the last 60 years. We have been witnessing those changes since the end of WW2. The big changes started happening in the 70s and changes in military strategies were also happening around that time. Northern Ireland was a petri dish for these infant developments of terrorism that have now developed into a stroppy teenager throughout many other parts of the world. Terrorism was viewed as a leftist rebellious activity, but as my wise old Dad noticed back in the 1980s, terrorism wasn't about politics, it was about money!
Politics was used to fuel the troubles and keep the money pouring in. Big industry played (plays) a significant role. Shipbuilding was huge in Northern Ireland where the stauncher loyalist populace benefited financially from heavy industry. The not so loyalist populace would find themselves working in shirt factories or American chemical factories such as Dupont or Monsanto in the western and poorer regions of the province. Cases of child cancer were common, but there were indiscriminate and heavier concentrations of cancer on both sides of the Irish sea, especially around Sellafield power station. The working class paid the health price as always, but you would wonder what genetic price the 0.1% will pay? They seem to try and breed themselves as if they were pedigrees or racehorses. They won't learn from Victoria and the Romanov's.
Larry gave Dr Gilbert a hard time, but the Doctor is fluent in Russian and knows the culture extremely well, and he is constantly watching the media. Maybe he knows high level people too? I think Dr Gilbert's message is to explain that Russia is conscious of the fact that West clings to it pride and that the English man really is a mad dog, especially when out in the sun. Russia realizes it can be attacked anywhere within its boundaries or along them, and at any time. They are prepared to defend themselves. To what extent they will go to defend themselves is open to question, but ideally, I think Russia does not want to destroy the USA. It would like to remove the terror element if possible and trade with the USA. I think that would be everyone's ideal end goal. It might mean sacrificing the 50-year-old and ephemeral Neo-conservative ideology and put a dent in British and American pride (hubris is the common term used these days), but vanity would be more accurate. Vanity is after all one of the deadly sins. Being vain basically means being so proud of your own 'being' that you become blinded and stupid. It is a degenerative disease, evolution in action.
So, I think Dr Gilbert is right to make us aware of the fact that the West is suffering from this degenerative disease which could be to the detriment of all of us. It is a frightening concept, but a sad reality.

Saudi Arabia is committed to Project mBridge (BIS) and IS a literal BRIDGE of the new system. Their stance is to aid in reducing the economic pain of the collective West as their economies are forced to adapt. This preserves global Peace.

A great discussion that encompassed the major issues.
Two thoughts: Turkey is not ready, as a political entity, for a commitment to BRICs in view of the deep Atlanticist composition of the elites. The consolidation and attaining the full commitment of KSA is the immediate hurdle.
The other worry: aren’t international conferences of this kind a serious danger? The FT (of all places) ran an article on the long history of terrorist activities carried out by Israel using “phones - and their technological successors - to track, surveil and even assassinate their enemies”. I suspect that these people will stop at nothing.

The problem with Serbia is that its landlocked and surrounded by nato which could shut the communication lines upon territories of nato countries. That situation a tough nut to crack. Russia DID invite serbia. Been almost two weeks now. And the pres said he'll "think about it" because at the time "serbia has other important guests scheduled". This caused some outrage, but not enough.

@@ranojutro426 Putin said a year ago "all serbia has to do is ask". Vucic is not asking. He's playing. He gets an invite to the BRICS summit, but he's "busy'. So why should russia do anything when the pres of serbia rejects them? If the people do nothing then nothing will happen. But the people are too lazy or too stupid to do anything serious. So what can we expect?

The BRICS is a genius economic alliance that seeks to make countries co dependent economically. This is a much more superior model than any other I've seen. It will deter conflict, and will other countries will have an interest in helping resolve conflicts within the alliance because they all are co dependant. In case of war, they don't need any military alliance technically, as other countries will stang along the one attacked and fight with them because their economies are so integrated and co dependent. My analysis anyway.
