Fantastic video Kev . BHX is “ the crosswind Mecca “ for enthusiasts , even here in Australia it’s getting its reputation . We will be talking about that Easyjet landing for a long time I think .. cheers Kev and thanks mate for sharing .
Hi David , it has been amazing seeing BHX really come to life over the past couple of months. The crosswind landings definitely add a bit of squeaky bum moments to proceedings. 👍
@@AirportAction I think Birmingham is a bit susceptible to the wind. I remember seeing the runway out of the side window as we landed on the way back from the channel Islands in November. Unnerving to say the least 😁
@@johnbowman7389 You are right John , that's the reason for the airports attempt to try and reduce the crosswind with the high man made hills that encase most of the runway 👍
@@AirportAction only just found your channel, great work.!! Do you do other airports or just Birmingham. I live near East Midlands Airport and they have exceptionally busy evenings with all the heavy cargo freighters from around the world. There were 3 747's in a few weeks back usually one most days.!!
@@johnbowman7389 Yes John , We have streamed from EMA , Heathrow , London City Airport and Stansted. We will be back at EMA this month for a few more streams , but BHX is the closest to us ( 20 miles each way )., hoping to capture a few whilst there depending on activity at the airport 👍
I bet the passengers on that easyJet couldn't wait to get off it. That right wing was close to touching the runway, i dont even want to think what would of happened if it did. Been to BHX many times plane spotting when the car parking wasn't sky high and I'd jump on the shuttle bus to the terminal to go up to the viewing area inside the terminal, spent many an hour in there watching planes take off and land. I'm addicted to plane spotting am always looking up for planes when I'm outside.🛫🛬
