    Model 3 played a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of electric cars by offering an accessible, high- performance, and technologically advanced option that appealed to a broader audience. It helped shift perceptions about electric vehicles from being seen as niche products to becoming more mainstream.
    Six years after the first car rolled off the assembly line and over 2 millions units later, we are bringing a significant update to Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel Drive.
    This update brings more refinement, comfort and premiumness - inside and out - while staying true to its sleek, uncluttered design aesthetic. We have not departed from what made Model 3 a global best- seller: delivering great range and efficiency with sports-car performance and handling at an approachable price point.
    The upgraded Model 3 is instantly recognizable as a Model 3 with a refined body and presence, better aero, new lighting, and a brand new interior that elevates what customers love about Model 3.
    Upgraded exterior design
    Headlamps with a totally new aesthetic. Tail lamps with super bright colors and updated styling are integrated into the liftgate to improve fit.
    Model 3 is available in two new colors :
    • Ultra Red - a high-chroma color with dynamic depth created from a multi-coat paint. It replaces
    Red Multi-Coat.
    • Stealth Grey - a rich and dynamic dark grey metallic colour that accentuates the shape of Model
    3. It replaces Midnight Silver Metallic.
    Efficiency and Charging
    Model 3 has been optimized for aerodynamics. Sharper body lines and aero-optimized surfaces reduce drag, improve wind noise and increase range. Wheels and tires have been redesigned, offering updated styling with improved aerodynamics, paired with noise- and range-optimized tires.
    Upgraded Model 3 has the lowest absolute drag of any Tesla : 0.219.
    Model 3's cabin is now a whisper quiet cabin, thanks to our 360 ̊ acoustic glass, improved suspension bushings, seals and sound-dampening materials. All combined significantly reduce noise:
    • 30% wind noise improvement
    • 20% road noise improvement
    • 30% ambient noise isolation improvement
    • 25% impact noise improvement
    All Tesla vehicles offer studio-quality sound system, upgraded Model 3 is no exception. Our new Tesla- designed premium audio system features 17 speakers, dual subwoofers and dual amplifiers for Model 3 Long Range and 9 speakers, a single subwoofer and amplifier for Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive. All includes native support for Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal. Phone calls are now better than ever too, thanks to additional and more capable microphones, delivering improved call quality.
    Connectivity is industry leading, with a 30% improvement for Cell Range, 50% Cell signal, 2x Wi-Fi range and 10x Phone Key performance via UWB.

    I think the most realistic range (with 100% battery) is 350-400Km with a mix of 130-140Kmh on the highway and 80-100Kmh on normal. You have drove most of the time with max 120kmh and also don't forget that you went through the mountains where the battery was charged quite a lot on the way down. Also don't forget that on a long journey you start with the battery charged up to 100% and then at the supercharger it is only worth up to 80-85%. So you will always have a range of 60-70% of the battery, it means a distance of approximately 300km under normal conditions as described above. I own a Tesla and I'm personally satisfied, but I don't think it's worth it for everyone. It depends a lot on everyone's style

    • @enisdundar1879
      @enisdundar1879 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Everybody's reality is different. I won't be able to drive this car more than 200-250 km with %90 capacity according to my actual driving pattern with my gasoline Audi Quattro. I have so many neighbors and friends who can reach 500 km or a little bit over with this car's 90 capacity according to their driving patterns. However, these examples do not change the reality of the subject video. It is completely bound to the real-time conditions of the test driver. It is better to evaluate the situation according to different drivers driving patterns.

      I know that when I get my Tesla later this year I will EASILY get over 300 miles on even a bad day, so it depends on each person's driving style etc.
      It amuses me that people drive like bats out of her with their backsides on fire and they complain that they do not get the adverted range which is as dumb as crying that their pint of beer lasted 5 seconds because they drink it all in one go and how dare it not ,last all night 😂!

    A tip: Always measure using percentage, not the KM displayed. These tend not to be the most accurate figures. By my calculations using the percentage figure, you would be at around 465km range (100% - 0%) if you continued driving. Naturally I don't include the buffer past 0%.
    For a general "realistic daily usage" range, incl. keeping the charge between 15% - 85% to lower some of the battery wear, and accounting for other inefficiencies e.g. cold weather/heating, I like to take 1/3 off that figure. 300km of range is plenty for daily errands.
    I'm going to be picking up a Model 3 Highland from Schlieren for a weekend, I'm expecting the efficiency to be comparable to my old M3P on my work journey if I take the same country/hilly roads, which is to say very low thanks to regen. If I take the autobahn and drive at a reasonable speed, I don't expect it to be very good. I'm curious to test the difference in efficiency at different speeds.

      @SDADanCars  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @ricarmig
      @ricarmig 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're right, the percentage of the battery is more important, nevertheless they are very good real figures! On NCM/NCA batteries (long range and performance) the best is to charge between 20 - 60% which for most, is more than enough. On my MY LR I drive around 50 - 70 km/day, so I charge every 2/3 days and only up to 60%, each month some bigger trips over the highway and I charge up to 90% which is enough as I'll have to stop to supercharge either way. So I prefer to never charge completely but more often than to charge a lot and cause more stress to the battery.

      @@SDADanCars yeah I inflate them cold 2.9 but often TPMS reads one of them 3.0. When I do range test I always keep AC on auto mode and 22 or 23 depending on season. I am under impression at least half of range increase is in new EV made tires, other half less air drag with new front end design.

    You are charging at a V2 supercharger. It is limited to 150 Kw. Try finding a v3 - it is limited to 250 Kw. Otherwise you will never see higher.

    This should be the best efficiency show that a single Tesla showed up until today.
    77 KW battery pack / Winter conditions in Europe most rough terrain country/ Stucked traffic/ Rain / Winter tyres !! Only these unexpected conditions have caused a %15 difference according to WLTP results.
    450/ 500 km is possible during spring conditions with an average of 90 km/h ( 70-130 km/H) for a long journey.
    It is more than fair enough. Do not drive more than 350 km without a break. It is already unhealthy for your blood circulation

      bushings, seals and sound-dampening materials. All combined significantly reduce noise:
      • 30% wind noise improvement

    The charging session is very misleading. For people that don’t know much about EVs it would seem that 150kW is all this car can get and MAYBE you can get more on another station. The car WILL get more if the charger is capable of more than 150kW charging. Obviously these speeds will not hold for long but the charging time will be cut by quite a lot.
