Selling England by the Pound is just too good.
This is a Review (more like a preview actually) of this album by Genesis. I just think that great music does a lot of good to human ears.

Did I succeed or were my efforts in vain?:P
Of all the tracks in here which is the one you'd be more likely to check?
Or... did you know the band and the album already?
Leave a comment if you'd like to!
I know why i listen to Genesis since i've been doing it since i was 15 I'm 61 now, I love them , mostly the first albums, They're magical
Steve hacketts playing on this album is just out of this world and for the time is just diabolical
@@damagedband4819 I still can't understand how someone can play so technical and so tasteful at the same time
Great review, Sam! Well said 👍. It’s my favorite Genesis-studio-album, btw (as a very long-time fan 😉) ‼️ Love “Genesis Live” too, as it is one of the best live-(prog)albums ever made, in my opinion. Very “old school Genesis” 😜❤️.
Thank you! I appreciate it:) it is also my favorite from them and everytime I hear that opening "Can you tell me where my country lies" I get transported back to the first time. Just one of those albums that really got ingrained in my brain haha
Turn it on again is one of the best pop songs ever made.
@@NickBear-nz7mv It has an incredible energy but it just never clicked with me! But maybe it will in the future haha, I like to think that musical preferences are not set in stone
I ❤ Genesis and also ❤ Genesis.
good review, you could follow this up with Lamb lies down on Broadway
@@Pizzageek-jc4xp thank you! I'm working on "Wall of eyes" by The Smile but I might do it after:)
personally i like both genesis’s but to each their own
@@deleteable. Yeah I meant it as: the video is about the band, not the bible. It's just a silly title, I might change it since there's actually nothing in the video related to religion.
do Duke
no :)
Also the Bible
What does it sound like tho?;)
I still skip "More Fool Me" and I think that it doesn't belong on the album .
@@catherinegrimes2308 totally undestandable, but in my case I wasn't even giving the song a chance on its own, that's the reason why I said I was being a bit silly, cause after I gave it a chance I found that I really liked it. The guitar chords are super interesting and I love the softness of Phil's singing. So I guess I should say that now I really don't mind that it doesn't belong;)
i agree, it's more of a Phil Collins kind of song, more pop than prog rock, It's cheesy ,,but after all i never skip it ;)
Preaching to the choir, mate....great video however.
@@tobybarker6808 I've noticed that most of the people already know the album yes, my intention was to share classic albums with younger people that might not have heard about them, but I think it works a bit different than I expected... Thank you for the comment btw!
@@SamueleFantin you're welcome. I wasn't bitching. I like what you do.
