They had the entire off season to replace, or come close to last year’s QB stats & they’ve had to know that DJU wasn’t the answer…not in the ACC and definitely not in Florida!
I tried to tell anyone who would listen that FSU and NCST weren’t going to be very good, and that Miami, SMU, and Clemson would be alright. The only surprise for me has been Pitt, but I think I have underestimated Narduzzi for the last time. 🙌
In view of Florida State grabbing the National Delusions of Grandeur championship, besting NC State by a comfortable margin, maybe best to do your talking on the court. There was a bunch of bumptious braggadocios talk about "going to the next level" and "oh my we are so special" in the preseason, then the playing starts and a great big thud. So maybe the Teddy Roosevelt thing of "Talk softly but carry a big stick" would be a better strategy. FSU even got some ink in ESPN's "Bottom 10" poll this week for all of their "Sound and Fury Signifying Nothing" act.
Donno, I am afraid this channel seems untruly titled as, if I did not know any better, it seems to be Mostly Locked on Canes 2.0 Interrupted by Discussion of Other ACC Programs. For example, the ratio of Miami to Clemson comments and discussion seems to be about 3:1. Discussion ratio of Miami versus SMU seems to. be closer to 2:1. Thank goodness you, usually, have Kenton, who speaks his truths and tends to offset the ongoing Miami love fest. Sorry if this seems exaggerated, but this is my new-to-conference perspective. Just look at how many episodes have "Miami" in the title. I get it. You're a fan. Miami is exciting. Miami has gone all in this year, with millions "invested", millions gambled, and an undying drive to get the desired results. Miami has a great history with, at one time, more NFL players than any other school. With that great history can come a reckless sense of entitlement, such as fans, of certain, historic powerhouses, who, at present, believe the sky is falling, as they try to deal with the "tragedy" of two losses. The times are a-changin'. The Portal and NIL have created a new equalizing, virtual free agency, which will mean many present day monopolistic, dominant programs will be challenged more and more. Stay tuned boys and girls, college football is, for better or worse, changing and outcomes will not follow historic lines. I am not sure how Miami will finish this unusual and unpredictable season and I wish you luck. I'll be looking forward to hearing more about the other ACC teams and contenders. I’ve watched the games, Virginia Tech got screwed by the refs at the end of the Miami game, Cal got screwed with one of the players from Miami not getting ejected for targeting, YES, IT SHOUDL OF BEEN A TARGETING. And against Louisville, the fumble on Cam Ward should have STAND, I didn’t see almost any forward pass progress to where it was an incomplete pass. Clemson will beat the living crap out of the Hurricanes

Duke gave away the SMU game - it was a case of both SMU and Duke trying to lose the game, and Duke did a better job of that.
