The game is perfect and with some mods. But man, hats off to the developers. This game could’ve been way worst like compared to cyberpunk
Is this game immersive? Is that a joke? It blows away every other apocalyptic game in recent history. Only 4 hours into it and it just blows away everything else before it. Only hoping for better optimization in the near future. But this is a gem of a game so far.
If you really want to make it immersive, get rid of the awkward english voice acting and through on the UKR & Subs. Instantly makes it feel more like STALKER.
Based on what everyone was saying, I intended to put it down until it was more complete. However, every time I played, I got more immersed and more blown away. This game is an absolute masterpiece, even as is, and I cannot stop playing it.
I find this game really immersive and it does feel a Stalker game, love it. But one thing that ruins the whole mood a lot more than I want to admit ( besides performance, bugs, etc. ) is the fact that everybody is british. Sure I can use ukrainian audio but in order to be able to understand the story better for my first playthrough, I picked english. I mean atleast in the old games, they had a ukrainian accent when speaking english. Now I am in some ukranian hellhole with badass Stalkers but they all sound like they are straight out of Wallace & Grommit. xD
What a beautiful game this is bro.. as a Ukrainian it's so good for me to see how people play it, and feel this beauty just like me. Maybe it's all familiar to you when the game and the world are repeated, but I remember how bees bit me as a child when I climbed into the cabin of a yellow truck that transports milk. and I see the same car in the game. it's just incredible.
I think its very immersive but there are little details which would be so cool like cleaning your mask with your hand when the rain is getting to heavy
Glad to see, someone making a Video about Immersion and has the Crosshair and Hud Ui disabeled, which is defenitly needed for Immersion. Expert lvl would be ukrainian Voice.
Biggest issue for me is the generic hud, the og hud was far from perfect and could do with some updating, but having a skyrim compas and weapon wheel and brightly colored overworld icons is not the move if you want the game to feel immersive
The main criticisms I have seen against this game are performance and difficulty, seems to be either gamers with less than required specs and/or gamers who think this is just another CoD clone.
Once the game is fixed it'll be immersive it's too bad that it isn't. I can't really play because it has a serious VRAM allocation bug that crashes the game after 2-3 minutes especially on a 4060 and 4070 GPU. All in all, modders are already hyper active on this game. So I can't wait for a G.A.M.M.A 2 :)
Appreciate the post I cant get comfortable with the controls and that ruins the immersion for me. It feels like a game designed for kb&mouse control? I want to play it and have for a few hrs now but that's my opinion so far!
@@bluetherobot quite frankly UA voiceover is a bit "plastic" if you are a native speaker. It's more like a dubbed US movie in the cinema, too theatrical. But hey, still better to sink into this atmosphere!

HUGE part of the immersiveness in the STALKER series are the dialogues, unfortunately the developers have removed the Russian language from the game and essentially shot themselves in the foot. The main target audience of the game is Russian speakers, I dont see many people enjoying this game in Ukrainian, or Spanish or English. This has basically made it into a mediocre shooter that is a pale ghost of what the STALKER games were
No other game had the immersion as the originals. Some came close, but as always the inclusion of certain bad mechanics derived from consoles games, and the lack of a living world.. none captured what the OG games did. Fallout games were great, but just lacked something. Hopefully they'll get A-Life 2.0 working as intended and it will become even more immersive. Even without it working, and the other NPC spawn system trying to cover for it... it has drawn a large new following of players who are discovering the immersion they never knew they were missing.
