I just got a WestCreek Cerberus and IMO it's great, All the TH-cam vids I have seen on WestCreek guitars have been very good. As far as bad reviews or even great reviews I do not think Amazon makes sure the person is a verified buyer! I know people who go on Amazon and leave bad reviews on many items they do not even own. Seeing your vid I am sure the guitar is well worth the cost. I checked out the 1 star reveiw and the guy complained the frets didn't go all the way to the edge of the fret board. Ball end frets are not supposed to go to the edge! This is why they never get fret sprout. The alignment of the neck could be it got knocked around. He claims IVY are better! Both IVY guitars I have gotten were the worse can't turn up the vol or gain and it squeals like a pig. Pick ups are terrible. Gave one away after I swapped out the Pick Ups the other was a gift so I am stuck with it. I have bought three Firefly guitars and they were also terrible mostly bad wiring and slight finish issues. Easy fixes but they did not live up to the hype i saw on them. Leo Jaymz guitars are so far the best of the affordable guitar I have three now and looking to buy another but I think the resin and wood top Tempest are discontinued.
My wife and I each purchased 2 guitars 1 each of a Metal Guitar.. We had purchase points plus the guitars were on sale with an additional $30... So we saved some serious 🤑💰💰💰.... Reg $259 on sale $199 plus the $30 off plus my $20 off & my wife had more purchases so more points. So she only paid $56 & I paid $150 So We love it when Amazon does these seasonal sales. Yeah the pickups are ab easy fix with Styrofoam... I personally love the flying V they have with the Floyd Rose Trem locking System.. Next is the X body then the the EVH Style guitars that you have one of .. For the price you have to expect little crap like this. IMO most of the reviews are beginning player's that don't have the technical ability to work on Guitars.. Which is Crazy since so many videos on setting up guitars. On TH-cam... The muddy pickup can be fixed with either a new cap or CHEAPER a little metal added to the back of the pickup. A few 6 penny nails cut the heads off. Soldering them to the back of the pickup. Also changing the height will or should I say May add a little better clarity.

Great review man. I pull for the underdog and this guitar was a underdog before you plugged in but now it a top dog in the under $250 class. If you like metal this one will work for you . I subbed looking for more underdog value equipment reviews . Keep it going 6 String !
Have the JX20 Native Black and White and also the JX50 Black Yellow . Both came with high actions . Lowered strings / reintonated and wahlahh. You are a pretty young lad so you wouldn't know anything about being a teen in the mid seventies and the crappy choices we had for guitars . At these price ranges and all the features these things come with , it is hard to bitch . I love the rounded frets.. sharp frets have always been a pet peeve of mine ..specially the sprouting . My wife just gave me the Leo Jaimz Tempest and again-- I was freaking out - The guitar I happen to get, feels like a guitar that would have been set up by the manufacturer in order to send it to a reviewer like you , for them to get high praises and sell many . Zero complaints on that baby ! Stay safe !!!!
I just bought a 3 pack of Muscell nickel wound strings 3 sets for $9.99. Guess what? They have color balls just like D'Addario's. Don't let the picture in the ad fool you the color is just like D'Addario. So, I doubt these low budget guitars have those D'Addario's in them. Awesome video!
I bought that one a month ago already. Looks great but the neck either needs adjusting or some frets in the middle needs leveling. Just haven't had the time to work on it. Inlays are nice though. The bridge seemed nice. But I do prefer Floyd bridges.
Sounds pretty good! As far as the bad reviews go, buying a guitar online is always a risk. There are bound to be a few lemons in the bunch. One thing I did notice is the headstock very reminiscent of the Leo Jaymz Tempest model. Same factory possibly? Anyway, great video Dude! EVH Rawk!
Had the same issue with my Floyd Rose bridge with new strings. I took awhile for the break in but it is good now. This seems like a good guitar and it looks good 👍
I've seen here on TH-cam a couple bad reviews of these new models, where the issue is that a lot of these shipped out with the pickups wired incorrectly / were not grounded so they feedback like crazy with distortion. Glad to see you got a good one from the batch! \m/
I have this guitar. It's comfortable and plays well enough. But two things: 1. It's crooked. It doesn't affect tone or playability because the bridge is level with the fretboard/neck. But the body is not aligned. It's several millimeters crooked, counter clockwise looking at the side from up in playing position. The bolt on is also not 100% on the left side, causing a slight rotation of the neck. I would definitely return it for a replacement but I had to buy it on Temu and I don't want to deal with them, even if it's a Westcreek Guitars fulfilled item. 2. The pickups are much lower gain than most other cheap guitars I've played. I have a few cheap Ibanez/Epiphone with average gain, a few cheap Jacksons with high gain and then this guitar, wayyyyyyyy less gain. It's not really a problem for me because the modelers I use for gain are an amp model + a distortion pedal model both at like 4 or 5 gain so there's plenty of room to add distortion to this guitar, but yeah on its own it's lower. It's a 250 dollar guitar that's worth 250 dollars. It's not quite as good as my 300 dollar cheap Ibanez/Epiphone/Jackson guitars. It's worth pretty much what you pay for, unlike their Revenge and Racer guitars which legit punch above their weight.
I just won this guitar and did an unboxing, haven’t played through yet. Initial impression was decent, it was used for a review on another channel so not quite new just slight imperfection where stripping meets the pickup cavities and right by the 3 way like you stated. But it was free for me😎🤙

I have bought that guitar (the variant with yellow stripes) and I like the look. What I don't like is the very bad fret job. And the nut is filed too deep, so that I would have to replace or shim it. Because of the too short tremolo block changing strings is more complicated than necessary (without removing the backplate). If the frets would NOT be very low medium vintage frets, it would be a great base for modding it. Because of the far too small frets, I returned it. The pickups sound ok, and the split option is a plus (a plus which nowadays every 2 humbucker guitar should have).
This was a really noisy review.. but good noise ..inspiring noise and really kinda metalish..😂 this channel is the best… EVER! that Westcreek sounded way better than what I also read in the reviews and they even dropped the price on it You made it SCREAM! Anytime you get a guitar made in China, it's a crap shoot. Out of 100 guitars you may have 10 that went through QC and the inspector said "no way' but the boss at the top said... who cares, pass it and move on to the next one. China uses CNC machines to make these guitars and necks. So, labor expense is much lower. Assembly lines are put in play. It's almost like a car factory in the way these guitars are made. Leo Jaymz may be the exception. Cool video. I'm subbing ya. IYV is a South Korean owned guitar maker, but the guitars are made in Vietnam. I own an IYV guitar and a Westcreek Revenge. The tailpiece on my Westcreek guitar has Epiphone stamped on the bottom side. After a little work, the Revenge sounds fantastic. Expensive guitars are just guitars with a huge price tag. I just got a Donner DST 400 yesterday. It has a solid Alder body and a big steel block and high output pickups. Killer guitar, and I paid 179 for it... on sale of course. I have to hand it to China; they make some fine guitars.

I think this dude likes gear and acquiring gear more than he likes actually playing and practicing the gear. I've known lots of dudes like that in my 3 decades of playing guitar. I know a guy who owns multiple Jems and multiple 'R series', Gibson LP reissues and can't play anything other than power chords. hehe.

If you go to drop D on a floating bridge it should go out of tune. I believe that bridge is setup floating and not decked.
It's not a floating bridge like a Floyd rose..it's the just ur basic tremolo bridge..dive bombs only..which is fine with me..Less headache

Bones wasn't up to snuff so i got a bone nut and grovers(the stock ones were crap) its good now,if the tuners arent good? Same concept,get some grovers or gotoh locking tuners,ah duh? Yes, both are push/pull. He missed some tones. I bought one of the JX-50's back in June. That makes 5 WC guitars I have. I like them all.

I think this dude likes gear and acquiring gear more than he likes actually playing and practicing the gear. I've known lots of dudes like that in my 3 decades of playing guitar. I know a guy who owns multiple Jems and multiple 'R series', Gibson LP reissues and can't play anything other than power chords. hehe.
