The “snapshot” watching out for movement thing was something I learned early on playing CoD1. There was a snowy map with a ravine where I would use that same technique.
In Red Orchestra 2 I try to never face the enemy head on when behind cover, but always sideways. For example standing right in front of a window is a death sentence. Always look sideways through a window from behind the wall. This will limit your vision and field of fire, but will greatly increase your duration on the battlefield. Don't know if this applies to PS, but just my two cents.
In addition, if you must fire straight through a window in direct combat, it’s best to find a table/object further back in the room to mount on or hide behind. Doing this in a building that naturally flanks the enemy advance is double deadly for them!
This is a very good tip that most definitely applies to applies to PS and any FPS! I see most people sit right in the middle almost hanging out of the window. While they have a good field of view, the enemy also has a extremely good view of you too. Better to stand a few meters back from the window, and most importantly on one side. That house or whatever provides cover and concealment if you use it well. Good tip Tim

Yesterday I was playing the french in the stone map and ran to an abandoned truck so as to drive it op north to rescue a lost spawn truck way behind enemy lines. When I got to the truck it was on fire. But then I noticed a tractor out in a field so I jumped on it and drove it north. On the way a tank fired on me but missed. I got to the spawn truck and got it home safely. I love this game.
These are some very good tips! I've played tens of thousands of hours on FPS games, and naturally after that time I've gotten pretty good. In PS I often get the most kills on either team, and as a medic no less, so I know it's not just the weapon I'm rocking (love the Kar98), and I often wonder why I'm doing better than someone with a fully automatic rifle. You have articulated incredibly well how I behave on the battlefield, always looking down the sights, use concealment to move from hard cover to hard cover, pausing a few seconds to take that snapshot, paying attention to my surroundings so I blend in and not silhouette myself to my background. If I may add a few things it would be this, expose yourself only as much as you need too, lets say you're moving up on a adjective, if your complete field of view if say 180 degrees, slice off a very small bit so you can only see about 30 degrees or less while keeping yourself concealed in hard cover. Once you've taken that snapshot and determined it's safe, move a inch to scan that bit more, take it a little slice at a time. By doing this you only expose yourself to one or two enemies at most, rather than a whole squad. Also once you've found a good location, make sure to relocate after taking a few shots, even if it's only a few meters away. Because even if you have the best possible vantage point, once the enemy gets a bead on your general location, they will watch that position and wait for you to expose yourself just enough to get that shot on you. By moving ever so slightly you force the enemy to readjust their sights, which could make the difference between life and death for you. And once last tip, if you're taking fire from a unknown position, don't try to look for them where you're taking fire from, instead move to somewhere else, then look from them if you must by slicing that field of view.

I wish games had Instruction manuals like they used to in the 80's-90's. I would pay $10 -20 for a good manual. I used to judge games how good they were by how much the box weighed! I never did buy Falcon...
So in Post Scriptum you won't lose rest of the ammo in magazine if you change it before its empty.... Thats really odd considering how it tries to Be a sim. Still waiting for a free Weekend or sale before i buy it or i might just wait for Beyond to Wire to get some WW1 action 👍🏻
@@jonde_o In fact you lose it, when you change magazine you only load the magazine with more ammo, so when you use all of your magazine you start to reload with the alredy used magazine
Actually, brain is often *_"change blind"._* If you haven't focused on some aspect, it won't be obvious if that aspect has moved or is not longer visible. (Of course *_reacting to movement_* is a different can of worms.) 7:10

There is one East Asian server that I do see get full during day hours.
I find PS more forgiving than Squad.
What sensitivity settings do you use? I can never quite find something comfortable.
It depends on your DPI, I think you should be able to do at least a 180 degree turn in one drag of the mouse
I wanted so much to play this game on my Nitro 5, but it's not enough...they need to better optimize it.
After looking at the specs of a Nitro 5 I don't think bad optimization is to blame.
Why do you relaod the Garand after only using 2-3 shots? Played to much COD/CS or Battlefield?
Always prepared to use all shots if necessary. I reload when I know I am safe so I am ready if necessary to take out an entire squad.

Why not? You keep your clip, 8 shots, 8 kills, if you run into a squad what are you going to do with 4 shots or less
