I think that Marlon and Gaelle's relationship was very intimate both physically and emotionally. He seemed very hurt by her betrayal, he told her alot of secrets ( like the daughter thing). Gaelle was very content with their relation within Flo marriage but everything went wrong when she heard that Marlo had a thing with her friend. She felt betrayed, so at first she just tried to pressure him ( with the money to keep quiet) but at some point she just wanted to hurt him like he hurt her. That's why she's going off like that. I also think that promises were made between Marlon et Gae, he may have feelings for her too. I think his love for Flo is more about the fact that they know each other for a very long time, she seems to always forgive him and care for him. She's the mother of his kids, he loves her but not like how Flo loves him. He doesn't want her to leave him, she's comfort zone.
