I always love a theater room with a lobby. After seeing yours I think I'm going to add the TV displaying what's playing in the theater to mine. I'm about 85% done but had an accident that required surgery on my hand so that's set me back a little bit. As soon as the cast comes off I'm getting back to work
Great to see that some discord members are allowing others to view their home theaters, well done people, congratulations on your home theater Sam, really well done
Thanks mate - highly recommend you guys at every opportunity, great advice and take care of people very well. Look forward to coming back for upgrades and next room one day!
hello superb tour ...but why extra mini dsp instead , why not use Yamaha amplifier's advanced setting to setup parallel (meaning input A will sent to both A and B ) so just with two Yamaha amp it is easily possible? just wondering
Honestly I only heard you could do some of this directly on the PX8 after buying the minidsp. No regrets though as plan was always to get 4 subs and EQ together, I have multiple profiles on the minidsp that would be hard in the Yamaha directly I think. Great bit of kit for not a lot of money
Very nice theater! So on the sound wall, the two subs are inverted from each other, right? Was that the initial plan or did it help with bass cancelation.
That’s how it’s designed, the minidsp was a big improvement over standard calibration through the Anthem. It’s great that you have everything behind the screen with the MX20 but it does limit sub placement options. I got pretty lucky with my room and have a great sub response even just with the two subs
My Uncle Ned just ordered the Samsung wall at 300", he also ordered a 146" version for his living room. Will post pics on line for all to see. My uncle ned also has a reference theater with 64-24"subwoofers (not all Subs are 24" a lot are 16" SVS). Not sure what speakers he is going to get for the 2 wall set-ups, either way it will be EPIC!!!!!!!
Your "Home Theater" Has A Lot to Be Desired. Unlike My Own Custom-Made Home Theater That Has A Complete STAGE. Yes, I Said A Stage. And NOT JUST ANY STAGE! But A Fully Automatic Smart Staage That TRANSFORMS Upon Command. So, Our Stage Equipped with My Own Design Automation System Called SSTS= Smart Stage Technology System Which Is the MAIN Transformation HUB For Our Home Theater.
There is a balance between absorption and diffusion to kill harsh reflections but keep the room lively. I think it worked well, but I’m biased of course
@@samcruickshank9163 mean the wall is acoustically really "hard". It doesn't matter whether there are absorbers behind it because the hard design elements create annoying reflections. Was that measured at least with REW software? Also in the intro it sounds quite resonant.
I don't know but I tend to favour doing room tours locally with Krix speakers, especially as they are often members of the Discord server so we are all big fans of Krix.
This is the first time that I noticed the Valencia’s have inside mounted controls. Oh man, I really dislike that. My legs are always activating those things.
Ive never activated the chairs from the side buttons that way. The XL are even wider so you'd have a hard time doing that. I don't like top mounted buttons as on those you always bump them or the lights shine out or they have a lock button etc..
Great theater but I have a hard time not rolling my eyes at somebody who likes The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker enough to display the posters at the entrance to their home theater, haha.
Thanks Tony, stoked to make it onto your room tour list. Worked very hard and learnt most of what I know from your awesome community 🙏
You have an amazing theater. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Congrats on the awesome theater!!!
Great setup
great thank you for the tour.
Well done man
Awesome, love it!
Sulley has great atmos. Don’t sleep on it
Good job! Sam has a really nice setup!!!
Epic theatre mate. Looks like Scotty and the boys at west coast hooked you up good
Amazing room , well done Sam. Enjoy your beautiful theater.
Amazing image... whoever calibrated it... WOW!

Amazing room. Definitely an end-game theater.

Beautiful work congrats🎉
pretty nice theater room
Very nice setup i like the choice of speakers you have the sound must sound great watching action pack movies well done.
Sounds great, Krix speakers are amazing. Sounds way better than any cinema or demo room I’ve ever been in

Nice Room Sam and Tony
Brilliant result Sam and another awesome video with some great tips and explanations as always from Tony. Good positive story so happy for you

Great job on the install mate. Wish I could have come and seen in person.

I'm happy to see more theaters going above 7.1.4 channel counts.
Great theater. I wish Krix would sell in the United States.
Yes! They have their own unique going on with their offerings and work for sure make many US buyers super happy.
One day maybe they will.. I am feeling pretty lucky personally to have so many setups with Krix in my home.

Nice home theater. Please I’m looking for a software I can use to calibrate my Epson 5050 UB. Thanks
HCFR is free and you just need a Display PLUS calibration sensor to go with it.
@@BuildMontage thanks for your reply, please what is the name of the calibrator sensor. Thanks
Wow Sam’s got a wicket set up.
Agree!
Very nice room. Also FYI to all Aussie movie collectors that Disney has ceased selling physical media in Australia with Guardians 3 the last release
Amazing room Tony
I love it ❤

Wow just what every home theatre needs, a transforming stage. Cool story bro
Is verry nice ❤
What acoustic underlay is Sam using here? The one under the carpet?
I believe it’s just a thick underlay u get for carpet.
It’s a Dunlop one, whatever the thickest available one was, forget what it was called
Sheeesh! Nice theater Sam! What software and TV for movie poster screen?
looks cool but the room acoustics seems very bad. Those skyline diffusers are nothing near to an absorber alternative.
There are absorbers in the room plus star ceiling is an absorber.
There is a balance between absorption and diffusion to kill harsh reflections but keep the room lively. I think it worked well, but I’m biased of course

@@User0815-OGall the red panels are absorbers…
@@samcruickshank9163 they blocked my comment with other examples.i do know why. in the end far too little absorption.
I wonder if I can get Strix in the US
Krix speakers you mean? Unfortunately not currently sold in the US, a number of BM discord members in the US ask the same!
Does krix have a monopoly in Australia!
I don't know but I tend to favour doing room tours locally with Krix speakers, especially as they are often members of the Discord server so we are all big fans of Krix.

Same as Tony, I’ve never accidentally pushed buttons. Prefer them there than on top as would be more likely to bump them there
he has a great room but why not upgrade his projector to JVC atleast NV7
Home theater is a journey... it takes time to buy upgrades.
Thanks, I’d love a JVC but won’t quite throw the distance in my room unfortunately, Epson does a remarkable job for the money
Great theater but I have a hard time not rolling my eyes at somebody who likes The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker enough to display the posters at the entrance to their home theater, haha.
HAHA!
The sound diffusers look dangerous.
My wife broke one pretty much day one but glued back fine. Kids haven’t broken one yet :)
