    Great video, I’ve watched your others finding the water, digging the wells and place pipe and pump.
    Wonderful job, you would make a good teacher.

    I am so glad I usontally found your channel, great stuff. Thanks for sharing with us who were curious, especially in places like south Alberta, dry dry dry here, I imagine this wouldn't work for water in the winter, but hey summer..... we can always melt snow....

      It was convenient and repurposed ;-)

    I was thinking, what if you just put a water pump in the well, and put the input and the output both at the bottom of the well test, stir it up and then pull the output from the well and evacuate that no sediment Hills water onto the ground and then put it back in the well and repeat

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I understand correctly you would be doing the same thing but without the use of a compressor (manually).

    • @WisdomIsPrecious
      @WisdomIsPrecious 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TigerCreekFarm yea, but also using the output end of that same hose alternating down the well (to stir up sediment better than air) and out onto the ground

      The aquifers below that desert are considerably different.

    Hook a trash pump to casing and pump it off till water clears up that's how we do it in Florida

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Owens the trash pump was our first option - but the one we borrowed to use wouldn’t pull enough. That’s the reason this was made. It also did a great job helping to clear our 40 foot well - not sure a trash pump will pull that far straight up. BTW, we’re about 15 miles from Florida.

      @@TigerCreekFarm good video. I wonder whether a diaphragm pump might be the right tool

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Robert Owens as long as it will produce air to create the disturbance it will work.

    • @billyjones9045

      What the hell's the trash pump?

  • @steveweyerts

    Why can't you just put a cap on the bottom? The water will still come through the slits in the side.

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This particular well is capped on the bottom. sand and soil work through the slits, too.

    • @steveweyerts
      @steveweyerts 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TigerCreekFarm Are the slits too wide?

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Think about how small a grain of fine sand is - or dirt. Any dug well needs to be cleared.

    Great video. I started drilling my own well with the extended 1x1 tubbing you showed us. It went easy to about 35ft now the auger just slips and doesnt dig in. In the bits it does get , i noticed small tiny black either hard dirt or rocks. They look like bits of chacoal in the dirt. Is that a sign of almost there or just a sign of tuff ahead? Thanks

    If you are near the ocean..or saltwater will this type well work, and will your water be fresh water or salt water...? thanks for this video............

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a very good question. Since these shallow wells rely on water from uncontained aquifers (ground water) I imagine that it would be fresh.

      If you're on the ocean, it's salt water. You have to be on city utilities.

    Will it work on Iron Sediment ??

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if the sediment is settling at the bottom of your well. It won't clean the pipe itself.

  • @koaasst

    ok great this is the method im gona try first. i hit some fine pea gravel just 8 feet down

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Koaasst something doesn’t sound right. You shouldn’t have any pea gravel in your well pipe. Sand and dirt is normal.

    • @koaasst
      @koaasst 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i live about 3 or 4 miles from a river basin so little pockets here and there of fine rocks is kinda normal. i should start a gravel pit! i dont think the neighbors would like that tho . as long as its just that fine stuff a little smaller than rice grains i think ill be ok.

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was misunderstanding your dilemma. FYI - If you know something like this before you set your casing pipe, you can wrap the cuts in the pipe with screen to keep that sand out.

  • @mjohnsonxtreme
    @mjohnsonxtreme 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This video makes me wonder if I could use this setup to "add" another 10 feet to a 40 foot well. If it's mostly loose sand, it should work, right?

    • @TigerCreekFarm
      @TigerCreekFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spooby82 not really. The casing pipe is already installed along with pea gravel. You may be able to “wash” and drive the casing pipe down and adding casing pipe - unless the casing pipe was capped at the bottom.

  • @EZoutAtSecond
    @EZoutAtSecond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    you have the right idea...but your application is wrong...that's like a 4 or 6" pipe in the ground...the air is just coming straight without restriction...use a 1 or 2" pvc pipe and introduce your air in at 6 to 12 inches from the bottom...the air will be captured in the 1 or 2" pipe and spit out water from it at the top...you can move it around and remove gunk from the bottom of the well...Keep On Truckin...!!! Happy Hunting...
