RE7 doesn't get enough credit. The complete reversal in direction from RE5 and RE6 was brilliant. They really went all in and embraced a radically new vision for the series that brought it back to its roots while also mixing in so many fresh new ideas. It's incredible to me that they pulled it off. An instant classic.
RE7 doesn't get enough credit? It's widely recognized and lauded by almost everyone for exactly the reasons you just listed. You are basically rehashing word for word what everyone was/is saying about this game. It's like you copy/pasted the same exact bullet points.
It started with re4. Went actiony and never looked back.
Would've loved to see more concept stuff, behind the scene stuff not scenes from the game we've already seen - but still enjoyable!
I haven't seen them yet. So it was interesting to me and others.
The dinner scene is one of the best scenes in the game history.

YEEEEESS!!!!! The voice acting alone was amazing for that game. Made it so believable.. great game overall :D.
REmake or new Dino crisis at least capcom bring back the series.
Personally for me, the moments in the game when Jack is relentlessly pursuing you was downright terrifying! I just wish there were MORE of those moments lol

Hell yeah CAPCOM!! make Dino crisis I don't see how you can fuck up a game with dinosaurs I mean I don't think you can be that dumb to take something like dinosaurs and change it to the chainsaw massacre family like you did with RESIDENT EVIL 7 this in my opinion was not resident evil I haven't even played it just by looking at videos on TH-cam I Mean how do you go from zombies to a chainsaw massacre family !?!?! SMH. PLEASE OH PLEASE CAPCOM don't mess up RESIDENT EVIL 2 please make a even better remake of this compared to the remake for RESIDENT EVIL 1 which was very beautiful! !!!
ish bon hey Joe smoe how are video games scary? this game gave me the feelings of discomfort tension and dread but never true horror because video games aren't scary! the thing that gets us scared is like if you for example are in the woods and are injured in the middle of nowhere and the thing that builds that tense and horrible atmosphere is that you know no one is there to help you and once you die yo not coming back. but video games break that by once you die oh just spawn at the beginning of the section duh and you also know it ain't real off the bat so that takes a lot of horror away already. my point is that games will never be truly scary but will still especially with this series will give a fun enjoyable and tense experience and a great story and characters to complement and this is a true RESI if you ask me everything that made the series great but just improving apon it and also zombies were in the first games because popularity with movies but Chris took roids and drove them to extinction with his chrisy biceps lol!

Well not for consoles or official mod support (if that is what you mean, although that would be awesome). If you mean just PC mods, there are plenty a Google search away.
I've looked it up especially the official resident evil modding site....there are no true mods just cheats and cheat tables....but there is a way to make the game look better with sweet fx and reshade. lol

RE7 was a great game new engine, new characters, new story I was tired of the same shit and people who complain and didn't like it in their majority are those pathetic fanboys who couldn't handle anything new but hey don't worry RE2 remake is coming and that action movie vendetta with leon and chris saving the world from a wesker like villain too it's the same rehash that you guys always want to see isn't it ?

in terms of gameplay, graphics, style, tension and suspense, RE7 definitely redeems the survival horror in the franchise but when it comes to making a requested remake of Resident Evil 2, it has to be traditional like the first RE remake. they can't go in good faith and remake the game if it's not what the fans want it to be. I mean did we even ask for first person in RE7, I don't recall making that request, nor did I ask for Umbrella corps either. let's just hope capcom knows what their doing with RE2 remake

fantastic game. but the whole Louisiana thing just doesn't fit to me. just feels like I'm battling my way through a bunch of crazy hicks on Super meth. not very spooky. that's just imo. loved it either way.

I'm not saying this game sucks I mean the graphics look awsome, the environment and detail look great and looks scary and fun to play I mean nothing wrong with the game per se .... but knowing it's not original cause this family looks exactly like the chainsaw massacre family from the movie, the first person concept looks a lot like the silentHill demo they never released the full game but what bothers me the most is that I'm a die hard fan of RESIDENT EVIL 1,2,3 and even though it started changing on Res4 I liked it, I just didn't like it was killing spanish people and RESIDENT EVIL 5 wasn't a bad game play just also didn't like the fact it was killing black people that talked either . I just love killing zombies that don't give any sighn of feelings or life..the undead idk ... I loved the concept of THE LAST OF US until humans start fighting each other I mean I would think that if there were a zombie apocalypse or a Alien invasion people would come together and fight..I just love positive heroic horror type of stories that's why RESIDENT EVIL 1,2,3 and code veronica are my favorite games of all time. but 2 being my ultimate favorite. CAPCOM and all entertainment companies need to bring back originality and creativity everything nowadays is like something repeated. .MTV IS DEAD NICKELODEON IS DEAD WHAT'S GOING ON POEPLE ?!!! RE7 sucks and REmake is one of my fav games of alltime, capcom gone full budget mode, look how cheap RE rev2 is compared to the first, the R.E engine is just simplygon junk, what the bet REmake 2 will be some cheap 3d gfx engine as it will cost them to much to make pre render backgrounds
