Hi Faytiannah, thank you for your comment. Depending the university or program , it may be required that you submit a separate application for the graduate assistantship while in some programs once given admission you will automatically be qualified for the assistantship.
So you have to read the program website and the financial aid web page to know what is required of you.

I will advise that you check the English proficiency exemption countries, if your country is listed among the exempted countries then you can write to the admission officer that your country has been exempted. If your country is not exempted I believe that is why you are being asked for test score. Many universities have made test scores optional

This video just revived me...I have been depressed.
I have two questions please,
1. I apply before for PhD programs in computer Science at this Michigan Technology but the was a delay in releasing my masters results from Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna, so Michigan Technology withdrew my application after subsequent reminder, can I reapply? And I was also ask to provide GRE score for the department I applied for.
2. Secondly, my GPA is 3.17 scale 5, will it be ok for PhD or MPhil?

If you have all your requirements for the admission then you can apply again and submit all the documents they require from you. If GRE is required for your program and it was stated in their requirements you will be required to submit that. If you don’t want to submit a gre then you can apply to other schools without gre
Most times gpa is not the only doc that is being considered during admissions. I will suggest that you package a strong application including an impressive resume and compelling sop with a hood score for the gre of required for your program.

It depends when you enrolled for the exam. Once you submit your application, you can let the admission officer know that you have taken the exam but waiting for the score to be sent to the university. However, if you the IELTS is required your application will nit be reviewed until the university receive your exam score
