I never realized the similarities between Percy and Jason in their opening scenes in the books at least.
Both story’s start with a field trip on a bus with their bestfriends not knowing what the gods or monsters where. Both of their chaperones where related to Greek mythology, a centaur and a satyr. Then they get attacked by a monster, that’s how they discovered their weapons. Then they get taken to camp halfblood, of course at different times.
I have a feeling Rick did that on purpose.

And now that Walker Scobell has been announced as Percy and Annabeth and Grover cast will be announced soon, I am here to listen to the musical again. The weirdest thing is my 6th grade class read The Lightning Theif for English and we studied Greek Mythology in Social Studies and then we went the The Metropolitan Mueseum of Art, in the 6th grade, just like Percy. I also go on vacation to Montauk every year, just like Percy. And I’m a swimmer, just like Percy. Not gonna lie I kinda thought one of my teachers would turn into a monster when we were at the museum.

It's definitely better than both of the movies combined. It's more accurate to the books not just in material and characters but also in tone. I feel like the movies took away a lot of the fun and humor of the books but this musical restores that. It's such a great adaptation!

The “I didn’t want to be a half-blood” line connects to every fan on an emotional level.
I like how the story goes "Zeus tricked Kronos and came up with the plan all by himself" instead of telling the actual story of Zeus' mother doing all that. Thats such a Zeus thing.

Closing night was like 2 weeks ago :) It was AWESOME, my castmates were super talented and the effects were super cool. Riptide was the coolest prop I've ever used, it fell apart onstage in one performance during Son of Poseidon but other than that it went great! It was like a telescoping metal thing that slid out when you slashed it :) and it was in a 3d printed case that looked like a pen. Also- our Annabeth messaged Rob Rokicki and sent him a link to the livestream and he said he would watch it?! Idk if he actually did but STILL
