Nadia is also famous for pure cotton sarees known as tant sarees, it's made in Fulia , a small town in Nadia district. I am from Hassan , Karnataka There are many specialies about our district but one major thing our hassan is famous for is hasanamba temple which is opened only for once some days in a year but when the temple is opened we can see the fresh flowers and the diya's burning which were lighted in previous year.

I want to tell you about my historical district Sibsagar,Assam….There are lots of AHOM palaces and monuments. Sivasagar is an important centre for tea and oil industries today. Talatal Ghar is an underground building. This under the ground structure along with Kareng Ghar constitutes the Rangpur Palace. Talatal Ghar is a brick structure made using organic material (rice powder and duck eggs) as cement. This structure was of military significance for the Ahom rulers. It had secret tunnels reading to different parts in the kingdom.All this historical monuments made of brick and an indigenous type of cement (a mixture of Bora Chaul-a sticky variety of rice grain-eggs of swan, etc.).

Historically it is very important. Its ancient name was "Tamralipta", the famous Port City. The city then visited by the famous Chinese Buddhist monk Fa-Hien. He mentioned Tamralipta in his book.
