Actually, despite there being many different designs of a so called safety coffins not one person was ever buried in one. Although it is a common fear, most people are buried so long after being presumed dead they'd have already died from say, autopsy, embalming, the elements, dehydration, or whatever put you into a near death state that they didn't treat under the assumption they were too late. So safety coffins didn't have much point.
The crazy thing about this game is there are somewhat randomized events, so no 2 playthroughs are exactly the same. I saw things in this video that I never saw when I played this myself. CRAZY that it's a solo developer working on this game...

My headcannon is, this is what all bodies do after death. The mortuary people are just used to it, and dont tell anyone to not freak them out. Thats why the protagonis doesnt react at all to everything thats going on! So when Anny suddenly comes to life and starts blabbering satanic, the embalmer is just like "yeah, yeah Anny. Just get back on the stretcher, would you? So you can finally rest tomorrow when you get burried."
My theory behind the reason she wasnt reacting to any of the spooks... She was probably diagnosed with some kind of mental disorder that causes vivid hallucinations. This stems from the point where shes walking through the hospital halls and you can hear the doctors saying theyve upped her dose. I would assume the dosage they upped was an antipsychotic. And her 10 year chip probably had to do with drug abuse which she turned to in an attempt to escape her psychotic episodes. So this was probably a daily occurence to her before she had started her antipsychotics and she just assumed that her meds werent helping and she was so used to not reacting in public that it became a habit not to react.
I thought the mental asylum interlude was about the dead lady on the cart, earlier in her life. But it could also make sense that the main character is mentally ill.
This is probably one of the best executed horror games I've seen in a while, especially the thing staring at you from the corner and only moving/disappearing when you center your view on it.

@@CrystalRose1111 yeah it’s a cool game if you watch multiple play throughs. I played it myself and had a totally different experience than anyone I’ve watched. I missed some of the scares that jack got, but also found others. Same for the rest of the creators I saw. Seems like every play through has the possibility to be unique because not many of the scares are fixed to specific points, even if it’s just the demo.
I considered being a mortician but became more devoted to joining a crime scene cleanup crew after I graduated high school. However, I was forced to change career paths because I developed tourettes and can't work with sharp or otherwise dangerous materials anymore. Now I'm a housekeeper because it's essentially the same thing as crime scene cleanup but with less potentially deadly chemicals and about an equal amount of bodily fluids.

Funeral director/embalmer/licensed crematory operator here. Love the accurate portrayal of embalming in this. My one gripe is the sound from breaking rigor (when you are bending the limbs around) never heard them crack that bad.
I love how the game just expects a person to get jumpscared by a shadow ghost and just get back to work as if that was nothing to worry about. Any sane person would get the fuck out of there when they say the first dude hiding behind the cabinet.
Personally, as long as they don't affect me doing my job properly I'm cool with the ghosts, getting spooked don't pay the bills plus I'd like some company 🤷♀️

Like adjusting in his seat and when he sits down again the screen pops up and it’s obviously a different scene because his hoodie and headphones are adjusted so he had to copy the scene and get them to line up perfectly and flaws wouldn’t be noticed because of the game screen suddenly appearing as well
It's interesting to note that, aside from the jumpscares being a tad different with each persons play through, the cadavers' names are different as well! I watched Cory's play through yesterday and 'Annie' was 'Cathleen' in his!
Yes, I did not know this till I watched this. In my play through I had a Rosemary Garcia and her moles were in different places. I also got the scares at different times

The apt honestly looks more like a longterm stay hotel room than a actual apartment. I’ve watched three different youtubers play this game and the name for the woman they’re embalming, as well as the markings on her body, the jump scares and their timing; they all change so you can’t always expect what’s coming next.

The apt honestly looks more like a longterm stay hotel room than a actual apartment. I played this too and my gosh I think its one of the scariest games! The bald dude just sitting in the corners was the creepiest, excited to see how the other characters are involved in the story when the final release is out!
