I got married when I was 21. I’ve always wanted to go to NY, but my husband was never keen. So last summer, when I was 27, I decided to go on my first solo trip. It was genuinely transformative. I was really the main character, I stayed in Times Square, got an iced latte to drink in Central Park everyday. Did all the NY things, met really cool people. I also went to LA and Miami but New York was something else. It’s defo love or hate, but I loved it!! For those complaining about the homeless/subway issues… have you been to LA? 😂
