Literally and when he mentioned in one of the interviews how he loved her work and thought she be a right fit must’ve been crazy cuz imagine TIM BURTON being like “yeah, I want her specifically” and even emailed her directly before auditions (she still auditioned but saw her some of her work and wanted her specifically) 😮💨

I grew up with Christina Ricci as my favorite portrayal of Wednesday and now that I'm an adult I'm so happy to feel the same love for this generation's Wednesday. Jenna is awesome

ppl don’t realize how hard it is to act as wednesday. it’s not just “no emotion”. jenna was good at showing little emotion when something affected her. like watching her cello art play the piece
She did real great. Also the moment when she first met the therapist. When Dr. Kinbott confronts her that she analysed her profile with the book wednesday wrote. Wednesday keeps her face but for a moment you can see her surprise and fear of losing control. She just played it with her eyes while not blinking.
Yeah, I agree, she shows some emotions in some scenes, you can tell by her facial expressions even tho it's hard to detect at times, but the way jenna pulled it off was impressive, cuz that's not easy to do

Exactly! She's a naturally very expressive person, especially in her roles as Tara and Vada, but as Wednesday she had to restrain herself from making expressions. It's just sad she didn't win the Golden Globe Award with how amazing her acting skill is... I hope she win all of the next awards she's nominated to.

@@CamilaAndrade-sb7gz my 10 year old watched it but there are a few small jumps-cares but the camera changes so you’ll know when they’re coming. I’d say it depends on what kind of a person the person watching it is but maybe around 9-13 ish would be the lowest
@@CamilaAndrade-sb7gz In my opinion, there are definitely certain scenes that ages 5 - 10 shouldn't watch, which are the piranhas, where the monster would rip out bodies, also some conversation within the Addams family, and Wednesday's attitude towards other people and peers (who she doesn't tolerate). I'd personally recommend it to twelve and up!

She really is perfect for the part. No disrespect to the previous actresses, but Jenna absolutely crushed this character. I’m already halfway through my second time watching. Absolutely loved it. Some of the best character development and acting I’ve seen. Hard to believe she’s only 20
I came into the show not expecting too much but it was great and Jenna was fantastic. I still just about prefer Christina Ricci in the role but that's not a knock on Jenna.

colleen atwood did an outstanding work for the costume and the looks as it portrayed wednesday. jenna was spectacular in showing the subtleties in wednesday's emotion and how you can see her growth throughout the movie.

The reason why us goths get along so well with some pink delicate Barbie like people is because we kind of bring out the courage and the dark side in them as they bring out the kindness in US proving that we're not always dark and depressing or hateful that there is kindness in us and we don't always bite
This! Also I think that people who are cheery externally often have high amounts of anxiety or their own issues with depression and sadness but as someone with Enid's personality or temperament but more of Wednesday's fashion sense and interests...that cheeriness in my case was a learned response. So I find that often those that seem cheery/ very intensely 'sweet' and supportive often have very severe anxiety disorders or have faced very severe criticism and a lot of the time people with this type of "must be ON all the time and not do anything that hurts others" persona often are put at ease by those who are very dry and very forthright and seemingly less anxious. Like the Wednesday's of the world sort of reduce our anxiety because there is something soothing about being around forthright people. Its consoling. You know where you stand with 'Wednesday types.'
Also, those who are more melancholic often process certain events similarly (internally) to those that seem overly conscientious or anxious and have people pleasing tendencies. But externally they can seem like polar opposites. You can see that Enid quickly embraces Wednesday and never shuns her. Whereas Wednesday has never shown tendencies to harm innocent people. She dislikes bullies. Enid's acceptance of her probably was refreshing. And I think there is a huge difference between people wanting to show kindness to others and who come across as intense and warm vs those who are superficially 'nice' but shallow and gossipy and mocking those who are different. It becomes apparent quite quickly and the need to try to make everyone okay or "happy" all the time now triggers alarm bells in my head because as an 'Enid' my anxiety has always been through the roof, my fear of confrontation has always been high and I also have a tendency towards depression. Staying up and not letting oneself come down into 'blue territory' can be a means to fight back against depressive tendencies too.
One thing I noticed is that Wednesday's family seems much more overtly supportive and concerned about her emotional state and Wednesday seems more melancholic externally whereas Enid seems much more surface level cheery but we can see her mother is exceptionally critical of her. A lot of fawning behaviour is learned and much of it stems from never feeling good enough...
My best friend was a goth. Meanwhile I always dress in pastel pink cutesy clothes. I miss her. :(
Such a great show, it's a merry mix of Harry Potter, Scooby Doo, Xmen with a Stranger Things vibe as the icing on the cake. THINGS performance has a Oscar Hollywood buzz about it.

Plus there’s spiritual significance to this relationship. Forgiving them genuinely within your heart is the most important part, mean it. Taking Jesus Christ’s lessons to heart enough to do them in your life is the key. If you can’t forgive your parents, who can you forgive? It’s an extremely important thing to remember. To be honest this step is probably the most important because if you refuse to do it your progress stops. You can’t be forgiven, because you won’t forgive. Holding onto hate blocks everything Jesus wants to show you. It keeps you blind to the spiritual world. Step four is probably the next most important. It’s seriously God’s bare minimum reading requirement. Three books, that shows the faith God wants. He gave you his word, have you read any? This step should also come last. Steps 1-3 prime your soul for receiving the proper message God wants you to receive when you read personally

This has been my favorite modern day media creation series that I have seen in a very very long time. I love it so much!!!!!!! It contains forensic evidence, crime scene exploration, odd macabre twistedness, abstract awkwardness yet embracing it unapologetically. It's horror yet a dash of humor. It pulled it off so we'll like I've hardly seen anything do so utterly spot on amazing. I love the Addams family and I actually never thought it could be represented this well in this manner/time period. The writing, story, casting everything is PERFECT!
