I came to see how this dance was actually done, I somehow missed it even though it came out during my clubbing era. Apparently Genz has fouled it up, and even in a video of some white guy explaining the choreography from 12 years ago there was a bunch of added in hokey nonsense, but when I saw this thumbnail full of black folk, I knew I would be getting what I really came to see. And I was not disappointed!

All races and cultures both loved and partied to the Wobble. I wish you would do your research before showing such bitter racism… The origin of the “new wobble” was formed in the UK by a group of African immigrants… This then grew like wild fire on tic tok. So it is both unfair and incorrect the claim it was “honkied up”. You are implying that all of gen Z is white… I hate the new dance as much as you. But race is irrelevant…

I never implied all genz was white. I made two separate statements, one about genz messing this dance up and the second was about how I had searched to see how the dance was originally done and how even the video from 12 years ago of a white dude explaining the choreography there was extra added HOKEY nonsense. Hokey is pretty much just a synonym for corny, it has no racial connotation.
All I was saying is that I knew an old video of black folk doing this dance would be a video that would give me an accurate representation of how the dance actually went… since after all, it was a black man who created both the song and the original dance, which belong to the hip hop genre, and no one can deny hip hop was a creation of black culture.
Also, your claim about the new dance being created by African immigrants from the UK is dubious…. I wasn’t able to find a single thing even vaguely related to that. Even Chat GPT couldn’t find anything. Seems like something you maybe heard, but didn’t fact check, or less generously, that you made up entirely in order to suit your argument…

I’m Gen Z and I came across a random video of the newer version of this song just a couple minutes ago. There was a woman in the middle of a bunch of Gen Z ready to do the original dance before suddenly stopping because everyone else was doing the newer version. I was super confused because I didn’t know that my generation apparently re-made the dance. ALL I could remember was “wasn’t there shoulder movement for the original dance? I remember the shoulders rolling” just to find out I was correct. I now know why anytime I hear this song I want to instinctively roll my shoulders 😂 I saw the dance years ago when I was a child and just completely forgot about it.
Love it. When its good it sits in your subconscious! Learn both ways so you can help bridge the gap!!! You can teach your peers this way, and teach us what they are doing now!

I just wanna say how grateful I am for this video. I have been incorporating gentle forms of exercise into my daily routines and line dancing has been a fun way of doing this. I dance along with your video and it feels like I am dancing with other people so this video is a grand blessing. I love the enthusiasm of everyone there and I enjoy seeing the variety in some of the moves (such as with hand movements). It has been a joy to dance with you all by playing this video on my tv on many mornings. Thanks so much!
let me tell you if you wanna have fun while working out line dances will get you there the best ones that have good cardio is biker shuffle that will definingly have you sweating but it will be fun also kang wang with it is great cardio for the legs and calf

Hey G Hunt...you may not know it, but this video is on point for teaching how people how to do the Wobble. Calling it on the mic and doing the count is easier to follow than doing it without the music and showing folks steps by steps..well, it was easier for me to just jump in doing it while watching the video and hearing you.
I've been checking out lots of Wobble line dances and have to say this is #1! Now that is some awesome style, class and groove! Thanks for sharing it!

I went to a Cheer competition this weekend (my daughters) and at the end of the competition they played this song and ALL the cheerleaders knew how to do it. I'm usually good at keeping up on Hip hop dances and didn't know this was THAT big! I had to find a video on here to see how to do it.
