Question. Are those motors ran off 12 volts? I'd like to verify it's the switch and not the motor. I'm leaning towards switch just because it was giving me an issue moving forward but now I can't get the front part of the seat to tilt down.
Hi, thx for all your helpful videos. I have a 2019 Flex SEL AWD, and the driver seat switch and the passenger middle seat fold down button stop working, if I press the memory buttons it moves also if I set the controls on the dashboard to go back when turn off the engine also works, fuses seem good, my question is does the front driver switch has something to do with the middle passenger folding switch?
It worked for me. My only concern was after spending $40 on the Seat Switch would it be the Electric motors underneath the seat instead? It wasn't, but also I had two problems and that caused me to think it was the Seat switch. One problem was the seat wouldn't go forward but only back and two, the seat back would only recline and not come back up. The chances of 2 motors going made me think maybe its was just the switch. Much thanks to the video, I'm all set

How do you take apart so that you’re seeing the circuit board? How do I pop out the 6 clips

Should the motors have excess heat coming from them or is that a sign of them failing?

Darn--I actually asked for help with a 1997 Explorer. Into the shower and try once again.
This doesn't apply to the 2016-2019 models. Only the early 5th generations.
