You wish. It would eventually become a superior game if it was, because Rito at least kinda cares, whereas for Valve their own game is a bit of a liability, it seems. But it just isn't the case. League of oneshots and 20 kills (if that much) per game is getting more and more like itself with time, i.e. snoozefest. It's not a coincidence, but a result of deliberate balancing strategy. Deaths are more punishing than ever. Good ganks aren't as worthwhile as they used to be. One (arguably the only one, other than booba) thing that League had going for it was a lot of small and big skirmishes every game, the fun craziness, back when Dota got stuck in the afk farm Chinese meta for a few years. But DotA has since snapped out of it, whereas League, well...Let's just say I returned to DotA last year for the same reasons I left for League over ten years ago. And unlike DotA, League has no chance of ever coming back like that, because at this point you would need to dismantle the game back to its bones and reassemble it anew - roll back like 8 years of balancing decisions, items, champions, income system, everything. Because the ones League has now enforce and encourage carebear playstyle.
i hate that mechanic. it gives advantage to melee players who can deny almost instantly while range has to have a PhD to calculate how long it takes their missile to hit. not to mention every range champ has a different projectile speed. It only takes a little bit of a lead before enemy melee laners have more damage than you and can then deny every creep if they are good enough
@@bloodybones8783You are the representation of the comment tbh. Melee heroes as a backswing animation wich is the same as ranged. You only has to calculate the timings once then everything comes naturally. There is no advantage on this, except maybe some ranged heroes like Sniper wich are almost instant, but even then it just means his timing is faster, there is no advantage on this. I mean you said Melees has an advantage, like, they literally have to walk next to the creep to be able to hit them.
@@KitsuneFaroe melee champs have the same very short animation time that makes it easier to deny creeps while ranged champs have vastly different times before their attack hits. That's an advantage especially in lower elo where most people are. Because of the deny mechanic, players have to choose between last hitting to get exp or harassing the enemy melee champ when he goes up which negates the disadvantage of melee having to walk up to kill creeps. The mechanic also incentivizes snow balling where the more damage your opponent does, the easier he can deny your creeps and put their enemy even more behind I'd rather have the game start with players trying to kill each other immediately instead of just farming waves.
@@bloodybones8783 u must never laned against a viper or razor as a melee lol. tbh everything u are talking about is overcome through knowledge and experience. I'm assuming from ur xp u were playing pos1 and getting dunked on by some fat melee pos3? thats quite normal in dota lanes. offlane heroes generally have great stats early and good abilities for pressuring enemies/securing creeps.

I have to say as a league player who plays dota sometimes, dota is truly way more fun to play (yes, I'm the guy in your team who plays pos5 rubick and rushes dagon to assert dominance)
There was this league player i enjoyed watching before he quit. His game name was Imaqtpie. When sylas(a mage champ) came out this was his literal reaction to the hero spotlight -oh wow an amazing set of skills, an amazing regular skill that is a used to harass and also clear wave, an amazing regular skill that is used to dodge skillshots/create distance, an amazing regular skill that is used to gap close/CC, an amazing ultimate that deals shitton of damage to kill. he said all this in the most sarcastic way possible and proceeded to say he is tired of every new champ having the exact same style. thing is, riot knew ppl hated these same but different but still same champ releases and tried some unique releases (aphelios, kled, k'sante) and the result is insane memes. -Aphelios, basically a hero with aoe targeted echo slam that can deal 15k dmg in one hit. -ksante, bristleback with the slot and kite of pudge, ultimate of batrider and dmg of leshrac. -kled, basically Wraith King from Wish. u have 2 health bars, good spells health bar and shit spells health bar, if u survive and hit enemy enough or get a kill-assist, you get the good health bar back. edit: forgot to add the new invoker they have, basically a hero that has 10 dmg spells, just that all spells have different uwu wow animations, and the character is a korean femboy looking guy. any release they tried that was supposed to be unique flopped hard. they nerfed it until its unuseable or reverted the changes. the pro scene of league has such adhd players that hates any uncertainty that they removed gem of true sight from game and only sentries are allowed which dont actually show the enemy, just the shadow of it.
Ok, so I have played over 800 hours on both games with more time spent in league just because I like the design a bit more. I will say this: Dota is more complex and has a lot to offer and plays like chess, while League feels like a constant knife fight with everything being snappy and quick and teamfights never lasting longer than 10 seconds and decided in less than 5 seconds.
there's something wrong with you if you think that horribly looking LOL with trash animation and designs that fits WOW is better looking then dota. one of the main reasons why dota players dislike league is bad visuals
Dotas a watered down rts while league is a weird fighting game. Sounds about right. I'd prefer dota nowadays since I rather play slow and strategic than to lose all macro decisions off of my cold hands not able to pass the 0.2 sec reaction time check. Though, I would say the recent qol changes in dota don't give me that punishing but rewarding early game that it did 10 years ago.
But diamondprox is solely a jungler famous for playing extremely basic stat check champions (udyr shyvana) that have the most similarity to dotas basic heroes lol.
Dota has such a long history that has allowed complexity to build, I remember in early 2000s when I used to play DOTA all stars , I picked up DOTA2 18months ago and was very impressed with all the development the game has gone through yet still remaining true to its origins. It’s just as fun as it was before but with more content, very chess like
Am I really the only guy who has trouble trying to read every visuals their abilities display in LoL? It's like all of their abilities look the same here and there, it felt like trying to distinguish their visuals that has blended with its environment, I can't see what their abilities do until I die 3 secs later. Well before you decide to reply, I play Dota 2, thank you very much and I have tried to play League multiple times, but I just hate having to rely on pure instinct, reflexes, speed, and accuracy just to effectively kill someone in the game, that might as well be owning everyone.
Dota is like a home-cooked meal, to League being a restaurant meal. In Dota, you have to make a lot of the fun, and a big part of it is looking at what you have ingredient-wise (enemy and team heroes) and then deciding what kind of seasonings you need (items) to help pull off the dish and make it satsifying. In League, there's pretty much a prescribed way that champions will be built, and a generally consistent pool of characters per lane. You're getting served a dish, and if you don't like it you should've ordered something else.
Yes dota doesn't have heroes that do 10000 different stuff (excluding Invoker), but they are very good at what few things they do, also every hero has a different abilities and capabilities, there are no 2 heroes that you can pick either and game will play out same way, in LOL whether you pick Lulu or Janna bears a minimal different, whether you pick Seraphine or Sona makes mostly no difference, don't even get me started on melee ad assassins who all play around diving deep killing squishy hero and running away with Duskblade passive, no two heroes in Dota have such identical playstyle. Plus Dota 2 this year is completely different game from Dota 2 from previous year, Valve updates game every year quite massively to keep it fresh, while LOL this year is the same game it was 5 years ago, there is no massive updates to game, map has only received trivial changes, items are soulless deprived of any identity (adc items exist on completely different level of identity crisis) while in Dota 2 every item is completely different from one another. Yes, Dota doesn't have a lot of skillshots, nor does it need more of them, game is fun and complex even in their absence.
The time Ceb play Legue of trash for a charity and 6 min in he made rage quit a player with 8k hours in LoL Ceb- I can smash the keyboard and get all the last hits...-
I feel like LoL Champ skills follow a very specific set of rules. Dota heroes are skills created around a hero concept, wich is why some heros can be inherently broken when their numbers get tweaked too much. But then again, everything in Dota is broken, so who cares?
You got me with the Rubick part "this is why the school shootings happen". Dude - I played most of my dota life as a support, barely any carry. When I decided to try League for real this time - I just said "no", because I couldn't figure out the teleportation scroll, not even the training 5vAI. And the amount of sweat, even in a training is just... I wanted to drive over my whole League team with a 7TP tank and impale them like Vlad the Impaler. That's why I stick to Dota - same garbage, same skills, same pro moments. Same faces and Mav - the newest humor and kind heart

bro i played dota1 9years dota2 3 years lol 12 years The amount of outplay that can be made in LOL is infinite compared to dota.. Dota is about counterplay and game knowledge. You can just learn and get good Lol is about outplay and reaction time while the game is waay more fast paced. Dota is a moba made like a strategy game. Lol is a moba made like a fighting game. But bro we are mortals...so let the numbers speak for themselves
But i get his point which has been discussed by many. LoL aren't "boring" because they don't have much reliance on skills having to hit the enemies every minutes or so (simply put, consideration towards skills cooldown). Meanwhile Dota has always been this moba that punish heavily when you miss your skills due to long cooldown or how a team's worth skill coordination means everything (due to combo or consideration of enemies counter initiative). Dota definitely is "boring" because of that complicated mechanics and higher level of consideration towards skill cooldown since if you can't always just activate your skills nonchalantly. For confirmation, i did play Dota 2 for several years but had never play LoL. I only watch a few LoL games only when my favorite streamers played it back then 😂
I've tried my hand at all three games: HoN, LoL, and Dota 2. I've even participated in tournaments for each of them. Based on my experience, I can confidently say that Dota 2 stands out as the most complex, enjoyable, and intense compared to HoN and LoL.
High ground, denying, invise, macro, couriers, having multiple units, the fact that heroes don't need to be played as 1 exact position, items actually have impact, disables( fear, sleep, any forms of stun...) and etc. and the other side: the actual working client, proper tutorial and freedom of learning inside the game, the visuals, the overall design. Like, are you playing moba or a really hentai version of it with no voice chat where you can't even pick your hero if you didn't buy it?
Saying DotA 2 lacks uniqueness and every hero is bland is so funny. That's literally quite the opposite. Every hero has vastly different playstyles... which you can alter and change with whatever items you choose. No DotA game ever goes the exact same way as the last. I'm not going to say LoL doesn't have uniqueness to their characters, I like league, but they reuse a lot of elements in their characters abilities.
Ive played dota 1,hon,lol,dota2,ml Let me tell you this, from dota 1 to hon and dota 2,its an upgraded graphic, the gameplay mechanic is the same But from dota/hon to lol/ml is completely downgrading yourself I get bored playing lol and ml after a few hours, its too easy
I watch a lot of LoL pro match and it's all about which CARRY can get more gold then the opposite CARRY, even in team fight it's hard for the team with under level CARRY to do a COMBACK unlike dota where you still can have a chance to win if your team doing a right combo or stunt lock.
As a wise person once said, "LoL is as easy to learn as checkers, but is played later like chess. Dota, on the other hand, is as hard to learn as chess at first, but later is played like checkers."
Saksa is the worst player to use in that example. Sure he was rank 60 at that time, but at one point the rank 1,2 and 3 spots were saksa, fakesaksa, and fakefakesaksa
man i remember playing dota when i was very young XD i didn't know how to move, always trying to use wasd But when i learnt to play i always played against bots, and loved broodmother, lifestealer and chen. I played at those times when broodmother becomes invisible in her web.. so yeah long fucking time, and even there's a stat of when you played for first time, i don't remember the date but yeah.. i am shy that players might see it and be like "oh, this one's a veteran" when in reality i didn't touch the game in years 🤣
I will say that without a shadow of a doubt that DotA is a much more complex game when compared to LoL, however League has better R34 so they win I guess
Fot me personally, most of lol champion are designed with skill combo in mind, like each champ have a complete skill set, and they can do war alone, things like you cast skill 1 hit enemy, use skill 2 thay have 2s CD if it hit it reduce skill 1 CD, and of every skill hit you gain some sort of stack, if stack full and cast ult it reset and reduce CD of skill 1 and 2 That kind of stuff But in dota its not the case, yes some hero have complete combo on its own, but usually each skill can be use for other thing outside of combo, it have other utility on its own and this utility usually the one mostly used rather then pulling off combo on team war alone Well i not playing for over 5 years so idk, last new hero i still play is grimstroke I think this the reason why lol apear more flashy and snapy in their fight
🤣 League player will lose their mind just try pressing all the buttons.League is all about who press dash button faster and dodging each others skills i have played both and dota is more complex and has diverse hero skills
I dont understand how anyone can say that dota heroes are boring. Dota makes every hero really unique and interesting through the use of what league players call "overpowered" abilities. Every hero has their own gimmick which makes them seem overpowered in theory, but it makes them fun. Meanwhile league heroes end up seeming like copies/knock offs of each other. Often, no matter the situation, one hero is just a better version of another. The devs wont experiment with cool mechanics in fear of the community complaining about how difficult or unfair they are.
Dota is more complex but sucks to play so what is the point of complexity? League is fun and attracts a lot more players making it more competitive than dota
For me dota has just more heritage as game series, since i played little warcraft and dota 1 when i was teen. League as an idea does not feel the same. Never tried it though. However i realy liked HoN between dota1 and 2.

DOTA 2 and LOL are different, dont compare an adult and a child.
A lot league players cry because they got no XP when enemy players keep denying their creeps
i hate that mechanic. it gives advantage to melee players who can deny almost instantly while range has to have a PhD to calculate how long it takes their missile to hit. not to mention every range champ has a different projectile speed.
The mechanic also incentivizes snow balling where the more damage your opponent does, the easier he can deny your creeps and put their enemy even more behind
I'd rather have the game start with players trying to kill each other immediately instead of just farming waves.

There was this league player i enjoyed watching before he quit. His game name was Imaqtpie. When sylas(a mage champ) came out this was his literal reaction to the hero spotlight
-oh wow an amazing set of skills, an amazing regular skill that is a used to harass and also clear wave, an amazing regular skill that is used to dodge skillshots/create distance, an amazing regular skill that is used to gap close/CC, an amazing ultimate that deals shitton of damage to kill.
he said all this in the most sarcastic way possible and proceeded to say he is tired of every new champ having the exact same style.
thing is, riot knew ppl hated these same but different but still same champ releases and tried some unique releases (aphelios, kled, k'sante) and the result is insane memes.
LoL requires accuracy
Dota requires creativity
Ok, so I have played over 800 hours on both games with more time spent in league just because I like the design a bit more. I will say this: Dota is more complex and has a lot to offer and plays like chess, while League feels like a constant knife fight with everything being snappy and quick and teamfights never lasting longer than 10 seconds and decided in less than 5 seconds.
there's something wrong with you if you think that horribly looking LOL with trash animation and designs that fits WOW is better looking then dota. one of the main reasons why dota players dislike league is bad visuals
If a Teamfight Takes 5 Seconds you Game is bad

It’s just as fun as it was before but with more content, very chess like
highly disagree with Saksa part of being top 60 only. He was Rank1 with his main and Rank2 with his smurf account at 1 point.
Its funny how most Dota players can play League with little issues, but League players are overwhelmed when they try Dota.
League is fast food

LoL is a scuffed copy pasta from dota. Period.
I played League, then switch to Dota. Both game sucks, sucks my sanity and drain my wallet >:((((((
League players hating on dota are gay
they copied invoker. who's boring now.

I feel like LoL Champ skills follow a very specific set of rules. Dota heroes are skills created around a hero concept, wich is why some heros can be inherently broken when their numbers get tweaked too much. But then again, everything in Dota is broken, so who cares?

The amount of outplay that can be made in LOL is infinite compared to dota..
Dota is about counterplay and game knowledge. You can just learn and get good
Lol is about outplay and reaction time while the game is waay more fast paced.
Dota is a moba made like a strategy game. Lol is a moba made like a fighting game.
But bro we are mortals...so let the numbers speak for themselves
Of course he'll talk trash about Dota, cuz he plays the copy of it.🤣
But i get his point which has been discussed by many.
Lol = Mobile legends pc version (just click whatever you got first to kill enemy)

But from dota/hon to lol/ml is completely downgrading yourself

I watch a lot of LoL pro match and it's all about which CARRY can get more gold then the opposite CARRY, even in team fight it's hard for the team with under level CARRY to do a COMBACK unlike dota where you still can have a chance to win if your team doing a right combo or stunt lock.

Saksa is the worst player to use in that example. Sure he was rank 60 at that time, but at one point the rank 1,2 and 3 spots were saksa, fakesaksa, and fakefakesaksa
man i remember playing dota when i was very young XD i didn't know how to move, always trying to use wasd
But when i learnt to play i always played against bots, and loved broodmother, lifestealer and chen.
I played at those times when broodmother becomes invisible in her web.. so yeah long fucking time, and even there's a stat of when you played for first time, i don't remember the date but yeah.. i am shy that players might see it and be like "oh, this one's a veteran" when in reality i didn't touch the game in years 🤣
League is checkers
Dota is chess.
League is for kids who can’t play REAL mechanics.
I will say that without a shadow of a doubt that DotA is a much more complex game when compared to LoL, however League has better R34 so they win I guess
Saksa being not top tier isn’t a regular thing. A year back he had 3 of his accounts at 1,2,3. Saksa, fakesaksa, fakefakesaksa lmao
Fot me personally, most of lol champion are designed with skill combo in mind, like each champ have a complete skill set, and they can do war alone, things like you cast skill 1 hit enemy, use skill 2 thay have 2s CD if it hit it reduce skill 1 CD, and of every skill hit you gain some sort of stack, if stack full and cast ult it reset and reduce CD of skill 1 and 2
That kind of stuff
But in dota its not the case, yes some hero have complete combo on its own, but usually each skill can be use for other thing outside of combo, it have other utility on its own and this utility usually the one mostly used rather then pulling off combo on team war alone
Well i not playing for over 5 years so idk, last new hero i still play is grimstroke
I think this the reason why lol apear more flashy and snapy in their fight
What abt invoker…leagues is like mobile legends…dota way more complex and versatile
League player when they realized mobile legend exists:
Yeyyy i finally can win an argument .
Lmao pugde skill shot is legend , and mars spear arena combo , clockwerk ult , mirana , lina W ,...
Dota is more complex but sucks to play so what is the point of complexity? League is fun and attracts a lot more players making it more competitive than dota
TLDR : any games or heroes are good, but player problem. simple as that.
For me dota has just more heritage as game series, since i played little warcraft and dota 1 when i was teen. League as an idea does not feel the same. Never tried it though. However i realy liked HoN between dota1 and 2.
