@@sookietrueblood-gp4sd I have 2 cats that were "rehomed" with me. When I knew as an expatriate that I could commit to cats, I wanted an older bonded pair. I got a 4 year old brother-sister black and white Korean shorthair pair-- their 3rd and final home (they are 11 this year). The "best" as in the easiest to go to the vet or move with, the most appreciative, the one who loves me the most is that 3rd cat. Valjean is also a black and white Korean shorthair (estimated by two vets at 11 also-- but he was on the street when I found him in 2017). I hate the word "rescue" when we adopt pets we want. In Valjean's case, he wore me down and pleaded with me to take him. I am embarrased to say that I passed this guy a few times a week, fed him, and never thought the dirty, matted street cat would be my cat. He got sick, and chased me down, and made me really see him as more than just the Mini-Stop (local convenience store) cat. He has cost me a small fortune of my teacher's pay (but spread over 7 years!). He has led me to get much more involved in TNR (I've done 8 cats myself-- and I always get them a round of vaccinations; I've had 3 done through the city program), and the cat rescue community in Korea. I am a volunteer pet taxi (for dogs, too!). He has pushed me to do more than I thought I could, but this is all in a good way!

I have 7 rescues and they're ALL the bestest kitties amazing and such different personalities sooooo loving ❤
