Buckhorn Wash, Utah Million Year Old Track, Explosive Tunnels & Unknown Creatures on the Rocks.

- The drive along Buckhorn Wash is filled with history and secrets. Many petroglyphs and pictographs line the cliff walls, some dating back over 2000 years. Millenia old dinosaur tracks have been found fossilized in the ancient bedrock, and then you have the secret MK Tunnels. In 1948 the Department of Defence constructed a series of subterranean tunnels in the Navajo sandstone. This is one of six projects conducted, although the motives are unclear. Outlaws and bandits, such as Butch Cassidy, hid in the concealed caves, camouflaged until it was safe for them to move on.
Who knows what other secrets this canyon holds and are yet to be discovered?

Thanks for the laughs Andrea! I needed that! That happened to me at campout. We went to see the sandhill cranes in a old luxury van. There was 3 of us in the back seat. We went quite a ways an the seat started moving! Forward, backwards , laid half way down, then all the down. We couldn't stop laughing an the 4 girls setting in front of us didn't know what to think because we were laughing so hard we couldn't tell them. I thought the driver was doing it for a joke. Nope I'm checking all over for buttons around my side. Couldn't find any. It went on maybe every 5 miles. I wasn't even going to go because I thought I came to camp out. Not drive back to my house to see the cranes. I'm so happy i went! It was like a carnival ride an laughing does relieve so much tension. Never saw that footprint before. COOL. Those pictographs were different! I think the bible says satan will come from a crack in the earth. An bring his followers. Not sure about that because I don't read the bible very much. Maybe it happened when these Indians made the pictographs. Sure looked like a fallen Angel to me. Indians know things the government hides. Cheers
That sounds like a great ride! It is so good to laugh it just makes you feel better! Once Andrea gets going that's it and it's contagious! This whole canyon and area are filled with so many incredible sights this was so much fun to film and document this one!
Morrison Knudson was a global engineering company dating to 1905. They went bankrupt in 1996 and have been reorganized under several different names since then one of which continues. They built the Hoover dam, Oakland bay bridge, BART. The UTAH project was DOD looking for places to put NORAD which eventually went to Cheyane Mountain Colorado Springs which is granite. The Utah area was soft sandstone and was rejected as inadequate. They dug the tunnels then exploded munitions above ground to see how bomb proof they were. Used 325,000 pounds of explosives I believe. TVR Exploring went into the huge Lincoln mine in Rachel NV. and found massive borings put in by Boeing as emplacements for the MX ICBM under developement in the 1970s. Some of the paper work is still in the mine.

@@PinInTheAtlas Gly also did a series on the Lincoln mine. Its the kind of mine you can drive trucks through. Many surface buildings. Explore with Us did some minor explores. Said to be the largest mine in NV. Stones throw from Area 51. Justin roped down to lower levels. About half flooded.

It truly was, and there is more to do there. We do sometimes wonder about names, there are times we can find out why and other times not. Like we mentioned in the 9 mile video, its a lot longer than 9 miles and it should be named "Petroglyph Canyon"!

Thank you for the fascinating video! No telling what the US government was doing drilling way back in that hill. Searching for minerals? Tapping into an ancient cave system , who knows. There’s every reason to believe some one in the government has know since before the founding of this country there are very ancient remains here from a very distant past . To many areas are of limits to the public that really have no military value , or they are de facto taken by the military so that regular Americans can then legitimately be kept away. Grand Canyon , white sands military base, many other places . Any way it’s good to see you have such fun as you adventure together , what a spry, fun, curious lady you are Andrea!
We always find that fascinating too, yes we understand the fact they are top secret facilities, but often wonder why certain locations like you mentioned. So many mysteries all around us.

OMD, you guys had me laughing and crying with the ending. Steve totally deadpan and Andrea cracking up. Gorgeous scenery, great dinosaur track, I have real petrified dinosaur poop from Utah. They can actually tell what they ate from it, all those thousands of years ago. They tumble pieces of it and it is actually very pretty. Some green and some pinks, some browns. It's called coprolite.

It was the DOD involved. The location, that ended up in Cheyenne Mountain. Is the most likely of two stories. The second story claims, it was for underground nuclear testing. I think the second one is much less likely. Either way, it failed because the rock, was not considered strong enough.
Glad this location didn't work out because this was such a fun place to explore.
That has to be why they took all those cores all the way to the end of the drift too!

Well, they did feature Butch Cassidy, so they pretty much had to “defeat” the bars!
That first tunnel looks like its a dynamite storage tunnel. They used to make cuts like that into hard rock as a safety mechanism to store large quantities of dynamite in case all of the stored dynamite were to go off at once in a fire or something... I could be wrong though idk im no expert
According to the sign it was one of the test tunnels. The explosives were stored in the small building at the campsite by the loos

I've been to areas around Yosemite that have wonderful stillness, it let's people really get in touch with themselves, but I'm afraid if that were the case today, there would be an awful lot of people who wouldn't like what they hear.
We were meant for stillness not unrelenting noise, that's why people go to places quiet to meditate.

There's really no mystery about the MK Tunnels. The DOD had them built to test how well the sandstone would hold up to bombs dropped from above. That was back during the Cold War when we thought Russia was going to drop Atomic Bombs on us at any time. They set off 19 explosions of various sizes which caused lots of fracturing, which made them unsuitable for underground bunkers like NORAD which is built in granite.

That was very interesting. Humanoid beings could be what they intended them to be. There was a story in the Midwest of humanoid wing bat being that came out of a mining cave. After a blast. That terrorize a town in a early 1900s. It was described being humanoid black bat wing creature. That had in the center of the head . A blinding light came out of it. It could fly. You shot bullets at it; there wasn't no effect to it. The creature could produce a high pitch sound. That made people pass out.So the town waited to the creature went back into the cave. The towns people took all explosive and used it to sealed the back end of the cave. The creature never returned again. True story. Was reported on a paranormal show.
Those stories are always so fascinating to us, there are so many mysteries out there still and we love it!

Here's a story: A young woman decided to travel across the country with her dog. She comes across a home made sign to buy groceries. She decided to travel down this county road. She gets a feeling not to do it and her dog is acting up. But she doesn't listen. She passes by the remains a church. The feeling comes back again and her dog acts up again. She still isn't listening. . Finally she finds the store. The feeling hasn't gone away and now dog is acting scared. But she decided she is going. There are brothers over 6ft tall and overalls sitting. She makes a comment about some of things they have. You see anymore. She purchased the items and when trying to leave. They blocked her way out She makes some comments about the remains of the church. That her father would be impressed by the stone work.The brothers like what she said. That their father built the church. They say that we are now friends are letting her go. But warn her to leave the area. There are others out there and they aren't as nice.She leaves and get back on the main road. Oh her father wasn't a builder. This happens back in the 1970's in the Appalachian mountain range. She almost died that day. Her instincts, guardian angel and her dog warn her. This is a true story. This time it was simply bad judgement and it could be finial. Don't make a wrong turn. Have a good day.

shhhhh..its a secret....made me laugh.....we lived in a town named Superior Wyoming for a year. At that time it still had a P.O. not a ghost town, but a town with a large history. Lots of stores and homes left for nature. Men all left for war, and when they came back, some went back to school to finish there education. Best football team in Wyoming at the time. I worked at the school, and basement was full of info. Just a thought.

That is very interesting, there are mysteries about this planet that we may never get the opportunity to find all the answers to.
@@PinInTheAtlas yes very.. iv been doing a lot of research into our old world.. specifically the tartarians. and their architecture..amazing buildings that we do have many left.. with domes and spires. and with antiqitech to harvest free energy from the ethor.. but all now destroyed by the narrative. which has lead me to many diffrent things. and where I found out about melted buidings of the old world.. many masa's and desert places of the USA. like the grand canyon.. all have block work that nature cannot produce perfect angles and block work that looks like it was built. and not caused.. what i have come to realise is that our history is all fabricated and lies.. history is his-story...all to cover up the real truths of our realm.
