    Lychee is just a miracle. Best SLA slicer so far.

    the problem with 2D hollowing method with infill is that it doesn't respect holes placement you make, so you often create unintentional islands even when you place your holes beforehand. it would be cool if the infill pattern recalculated to go around the holes instead

    Can you do a video that goes into some depth about removing or dealing with the green/yellow highlighted suction areas? I’m having difficulty dealing with those. Been trying to use holes to make them disappear but I haven’t quite figured out how to do this reliably. Thank you for considering this.

    Do you have to pay the pro version for this.

    I don't have a hollow option.

    Awesome!! Can you take a hollowed model and make it solid?

    I had lots of problems with the infill, trapping resin and exploding my models after a few months. Any way not to use infill but rather add internal supports?

  • @Alric66
    @Alric66 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you have to put supports on the actual hole openings?

    Risk of what? Leaving the in fill at anything other than zero means an increased chance of trapped resin.

    you know other ways to fix holes in model to make it blue ? if built in one dont work

    I've tried using lychee multiple times but I find chitubox much better because almost all the tools are available, it hollows models much better and it can hollow with 100% accuracy making it useful for fitting LEDs and metal rods! I can have multiple models at different thicknesses on the same build plate no problem.
    A quick 10min job in chitubox takes me 25min in lychee just because of the layout and how you have to follow the stages, no I find it slow and very gray.. 😆

    I'm in love-hate condition for hole making here adding cyl make the viewport more easier to handle instead something like live boolean chitubox did but, it's kinda counter intuitive.

    is it even worth to hollow objects? the difference in used resin is not that much! .... solid gives you a strong body, feels more real with the weight , And you do not have to worry about resin thats stucked inside the model

      One thing to consider is that large, solid object will create huge suctions forces on the FEP so hollowing will certainly help. I myself have not printed hollowed objects though but I would also be concerned about sufficient clean-up and potential hidden issues during the hollowing process. Plus, I too like the heavier feel of my prints.
