What's crazy is I was getting into WWE around the same time the show came out. I saw him in a episode, then a week later was watching some highlight of him and had a "Wait a minute, I've seen this guy before" moment
Honestly, that feels much more responsible with someone with major neck issues. I get someone wanting to try and recapture the lost time (and wrestlers seem to struggle with letting go at the best of times) but as a company, there is a limit to how much I should be willing to let people damage themselves
It made sense to use him like that plus reality is he's not the main attraction they want anymore wwe is building up new stars over using the tenured talent for sake of the future. Using edge as the boss similar to taker his last few years felt right imo and I take this as edge wanting to be the main attraction over aiding to put over talent i mean guys he buried the demon persona of Balor that doesn't scream helping the roster

Randy Orton's back issues from the RKO for example didn't show up for a good while, but you keep doing the wrong sort of things for too long and you end up moving like Matt Hardy. Edge's neck injuries will give him additional vulnerabilities so letting him rest for a month or so between matches was a sensible precaution. Booked right you can make someone like that mean something, and not just be one of a bunch of ex-WWE guys spinning their wheels as the ratings decline

Look at how often guys get hurt right away after coming back from injury, or how often guys who come back after being away for extended periods of time get injured (The Rock, Taker, Shane, even Edge got hurt early on after his initial return, among so many others). So I can see the appeal for a wrestler that can still go week to week to want to do that, especially one who missed out on 10+ years of his prime.

I respect that Adam doesn't want to just be a part timer that shows up for big shows to make quick money. He wants to end his career wrestling regularly while trying to add to the product instead of just resting on his laurels. You can tell he genuinely enjoys being in AEW and I feel so happy for him getting to do this after he thought he'd never wrestle again.
Agreed. It also shows the passion that he has for pro wrestling. He doesn't have to do this anymore and he doesn't have to risk injuring himself on a weekly basis. Especially with his increasing age, many would gladly retire by now.

He just landed wrong, he could've done it jumping from the apron or a turnbuckle, it's not really the height. He's not got long left to wrestle and he already missed a few years. I say let him do what he wants/feels comfortable doing whilst he feels he still can. I don't think anyone is forcing him to do spots

Like wrestling Balor and Priest over and over was some great story. AEW has good stories. WWE has one story and they just repeat it. Heel stable, one of them is acting a little like a face, gets betrayed, turns face, feuds with that faction repeat. Damage CTRL, Bloodline, Judgement Day, ect.
I love Edge/Copeland but one thing I can’t forget is one of his earlier promos in AEW. I was a bit surprised considering the overall years of experience he had, he wasn’t used to the more freeflowing style in AEW and he ended up making a very awkward quip at Ricky Starks. Sounded like his ego got offended which I didn’t expect to see out of him.
I am glad he came back to WWE first because we got that classic feuds with Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor. Great moments, great promos and great matches.

Why tf would he waste months sitting at home waiting for wwe to come up with a month long storyline for a cheap pop at a ppv. I’m glad he’s in AEW and I really hope he gets another title run. Any of the singles titles, doesn’t have to be the world championship

Makes sense. It's like how can his presence top the Bloodline storyline. He couldn't. So he had to move out. AEW doesn't have a significant storyline and he can always feud with Christian to show that he's always the better one.
Edge is amazing, hes a legend but so is Christian cage. Christians tnt title reign in 2023 might be one of the best heel runs of the last years. Both are doing amazing jobs
