Every time I watch this video and watch you play the guitar it makes me smile because I love the sound of a guitar and love hearing you play. You my friend are very special to me like Elvis was. You make people feel so much better when they are down and feeling low. I'm so glad to have met you and have lunch with you, I;ll never forget the day you came by, The reason I liked Elvis so much was we were both an only child and both very shy growing up. Elvis was so shy on stage at first he reminded me of myself standing in front of my class at School trying to read. He reminded me of my self so much, not looks or talent, just the way the treated people and his friend, He didn't judge people by the color of their skin or how much money they had, he judged them by their heart and I'm the same way. I've always wanted to be part of his group and be his friend. To me Elvis was sent by God and he was only here a short time . It's why I wrote the song called ( Elvis Shotgun house to Graceland) Thanks so much for everything my friend and God Bless You and Yours.

God Bless You sir. I'm still here and the other day a friend of mind name Antonio Collenzo said he was going to put sume music to my Merry Christmas Elvis song with me singing it. I can't wait to hear it. I couldn't give the song a Christmas sound like it needs on my guitar. I only know three chords. I've also got a very bad heart and almost passed away about two years ago. I was in CCU for three days and three nights and they wanted to do open heart surgery on me but I'm to old for that. I take medication every day and thank God for every day he gives me. The way this world is now i really feel sorry for the younger kids because people have left God out of their life. That what destroyes every country. Without God nothing works right and falls apart. I hope you go to Church and believe in God because it you don't you are missing something that is a great feeling and friend. He has never let me down. God bless you Tom . Your Friend (Mac)

Well Bill, I was surprised when I saw this video you made and saved. It brought back the memories of meeting you for the very first time. Thanks for tuning the Guitar because I learned three Chords on it and wrote a song called (Merry Christmas Elvis) .Right now several difference singers are singing the song on You Tube. Even my Original version is on You Tube thanks to my Son Thomas. It is Called (Merry Christmas Elvis by James McQueen). There is another version by (Brandon McPhee) from Scotland on You Tube. I think it will be played in 17 different Countries . I hope the fans will love the song because I have always believe God help me write the song, It seem like the words just fell out of heaven and the song was written in about 20 minutes so I"ll give God the credit as the writer. He put the words in my mind. I hope Elvis can hear the song when singers sing it. I know that sounds crazy but the Bible says at the end of time the dead will hear the voice of Jesus and the Graves will be open. So I know if God wants the dear to hear they will hear. Aaaawwwww! I am a geriatric/rehab nurse. I l💟ve my senior patients. They have tons of great stories. He should sell that item, so his final years are lived Golden. Emphysema... Where is his portable oxygen tank? Where ever he goes, he should have a portable oxygen tank with him. It takes 4 hours for Rigor Mortis to set in the body. So, if rigor Mortis had set in, he was dead for several hours before he arrived to the hospital.

I am a cardiac nurse, and although I do believe Mac, under NORMAL circumstances, you would not shock a heart without a rhythm. In NORMAL circumstances, ACLS tells you to do CPR and meds for a person that is in aystole, which means without a heartbeat. Just throwing that out there.

Mac is one of the sweetest men I've ever seen. After hearing his story, it's just another fact that leads me to believe that EL! I pray Mac gets some help with rebuilding his home... it will be sad to see him lose what little bit, which is all his Elvis memorabilia that is left. I know if Elvis was still around, he would help Mac if he knew his story but you know Percilla is too cheap to do stuff like that. Sorry, but she is. Though I was only 3 when Elvis died, I still remember it very well. My momma cried her heart out. She owned every album Elvis ever made including his gold collection! I think Elvis Presley was her first love and daddy was her second! ;) jk. Sometimes I wonder tho!!! Lol... momma was a DJ for a country music station so we had RECORDS galore but of one artist alone, Elvis was the one she had the most of in her personal collection. So I grew up listening to Elvis and later watching his movies when we were able to get a VCR. Then in 1998 she took me, my 4yr old daughter, and my 6yr old niece to Graceland. We were actually just passing through on the way back to my birth place in N.C. to see it and we both wanted to stop. So we signed the wall and took the tour. They have a lot more now than they did then. Percilla may as well put in a theme park with all of Elvis' favorite rides! I mean, why not... she's making money everywhere else she can. Oh and thank you so much Billy for the great job you're doing with these video's! I also consider myself SGF! HOPE THE FEELING IS MUTUAL!! TAKE CARE and always be safe my friend!

What a sweet man! It takes a real Elvis fan to follow those items over 16 years. His perseverance and attitude is inspiring. His story from the hospital was the high light of this interview. I don't think anyone has anything bad to say about MAC. If they do they are just str8 up bitter miserable people. As for the thumbs downs... They fit in the bitter category as well.
Mac this man has an amazing voice he sounds like a mix between jhonney cash and Elvis he sounds way better then the pop singers his story he's shared with you was very interesting I really love the songs he wrote and really enjoyed hearing his voice all I want say is wow he's songs and voice just blows you away he needs to record his songs

My Aunt loved Elvis, and she went into the middle of the street in Rose City, Ark. screaming and crying when the announcement of Elvis passing was on TV. I could hear people crying and screaming up and down her street. That is the only time in my life that I have witness that type of mourning for a Celebrity that has passed.

Mac, is such an awesome Christian man. Can't help but like the man. Billy you probably could answer this question, which isn't related to this video. Since you knew Scotty Moore. Elvis as we all know as fans saw the 1968 Comeback Special, were Elvis was reunited with his bandmates Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana. Had Elvis mentioned or contacted Scotty during the 70's while touring in his jumpsuits, considered or even asked to have Scotty and DJ to join him on tour, or make a album of their original music, and perform like old times? I think it would have been awesome seeing Elvis in a jumpsuit singing with DJ and Scotty playing with him on stage. Also since fans would like to see the upstairs of Graceland, I wonder why the upstairs hasn't been replicated in the plaza for fans to see.
Elvis loved Music he wouldn’t give that up .He wouldn’t leave his daughter and he would more likely stop doing tours but he would still sing gospel. People love Elvis and he made such an impact on people I Understand any would want him to be alive .Heck I would but Elvis I strongly believe he’s with god. I see the pain in his daughters eyes when she talks of him that’s something you can’t fake.

sorry billy I've been studying on elvis .all the story's just don't add up first Esposito said he was dead when he found him in a fetal position he was stiff in that position so with that then Macs story then cops pushing elvis in at the er now his Dr Joe and someone else was suppose to be in the ambulance it's funny that a lot of lose ends

You are such a good person Spa Guy!! There is no telling how much happier Mac is because of your kindness. We are supposed to be the light for those standing in darkness or going through our oun personal storm. Its always a delight when I see someone brighten up another's day. I believe Mac feels he's truly met a good friend. Most musician's I've met are when they remain ground and humbled. My son began playing guitar about the age you did. He's 31 now and a 1st time daddy to his near 6 mo old baby girl. He and his wife are thrilled! My 28 yr old daughter found out shes expecting her 1st. She's appox 6-8 weeks and sees her obgyn Mon. Im excited for her and hubby to be soon. They live in N Indiana now but she's ready to come back to TN after being gone over 4 yrs. She finished her 2nd degree and has been in the medical management technology field auditioning Doctor's currently.Tthis will be my 2 grandbaby, Im xvery excited!! There's some light shinning my way also. My son will be teaching his daughter to play guitar with her HoneyMa/me buying her 1st! Shes got her daddy's long fingers! Brandon my daughter's fiancee is a drummer for a couple of bands so a 3rd musical family from our side. Im a rhythm section gal, with congas and karaoke being more my thing. I love Elvis as everyone does, He has a way of touching all of our hearts. I remember whan my mom lost her life to cancer in early 1999, I played one of Elvis's gospel CDs at the Wake through the Memphis Funeral home speaker's. I've jabbered a bit to long. Im just happy to see kind heared people helping lift another's spirit. I one of those believers who feels all paths cross for a reason. Your TH-cam videos bring light to other's. 33:59. I used to work in a medical simulation lab where medical personnel trained for hi-risk scenarios with high tech mannequins - they interacted with a program wherein they could breathe/stop breathing, had pulses, various heart rhythms etc and they could actually be defribbed. We used real equipment including needles when possible (you could apply IVs) The only thing that scared me was the defibrillators. As Mac alludes, the defibrillator is just a big switch. If the heart is stopped, the zap turns the heart on. If the heart is running, the zap turns the heart off. The reason they yell “clear” is that if you are touching the patient when that zap goes off the patient’s heart will start but your heart is going to get turned off! For safety reasons, we modified the manikins, so they were directly wired to the defrib and the handles were disconnected for those scenarios. In other words, the students would physically put the paddles on the patient chest, but the electronic action was done directly from the machine without fear of electrical “leakage”.

When i saw his picture in news paper n i said then "thats not Elvis" . I have watched this 3 times. What a sweet sincere man. I wish I had money to rebuild his home because God knows my heart and I would. I was thinking if Elvis was still with us I know that he would rebuild Mack's home ! I have lost 10 immediate family members including two daughters and now have health problems of my own and it is so hard when you are used to working and you can't anymore but this is one time I truly wish I had money to send Mack. Thank you Brenda, I'm sorry about the loss of your Children but the Bible tells us after death our Spirit returns to God. So i know where my wife is and you know where your daughters are. They are back with God. God doesn't lie. I'm still here. I spent three days and night in CCU with a nurse sitting by my door, They wanted me to have open heart surgery, my heart was so bad they couldn't put any stents in it to help. I knew I had a daughter to take care of and decided to just take medication. I'm taking medication every day and thanks to God I'm still here. So far I have lived 4 years andI know I will go when God wants me to go and not until. I go to the VA Hospital every three months. The hairs of our head are numbered. Brenda take care of your self and go the the ( Church Of Christ) they don't add things or leave out parts of Gods Word like other Church,s do. Read Rev. 22/18-19 KJV Bible . Billy, are you aware that when they filmed the "This Is Elvis" movie that they used the original locations for the scenes with Elvis' passing. They actually filmed on the upstairs floor of Graceland (before Priscilla decided to make it off limits) and we see glimpses of the hallway, bedroom and the bathroom, though the bathroom is only seen through the open door. In addition, the film showed them removing Elvis (played by Johnny Haga) from the ambulance at Baptist Memorial and being wheeled into ER Room 1. We get a glimpse of the ER room through the open door, until a nurse shuts the door. Incidentally, the woman playing the nurse shutting the ER door was no other than Marian Cocke, the actual nurse for Elvis during his stays at Baptist Memorial. (Joe Esposito also plays himself in the film, for that matter.)
In order to see these scenes, you have to watch the extended version of the film, available on DVD. The theatrical version cut out most of the upstairs footage (other than Elvis walking up the stairs, saying goodnight to Lisa Marie, and then walking into his bedroom) and also cut out the hospital footage. I figured you saw the movie, but didn't know if you realized they used the original locations for filming those sequences. Unfortunately, that film may be the best surviving document for how the ER looked around the time of Elvis' passing, though it was a few years after the fact. The defibrillator isn't visible in the footage, from what I can tell... it probably was in a different part of the room not visible to the camera.
Mac, tried to go back and film the ER so he had a video version of it and the Hospital would not give him permission.. Also you read many stories of Elvis being in room #2 Mac says it was without question room #1and he worked there and frequented those rooms working on the equipment so I believe his testimony..
I would be curious if Mac has seen the footage they shot for This Is Elvis and if he can confirm whether they used the right room for the film.

I love this man! It was heart breaking to hear him recall what happened at the hospital and the loss of his wife. Thank god that garage didn’t burn. Thank you for all you do in the Elvis world! Also it is interesting to see what the progress in technology has been since 1977. That machine looked so old.

I am a cardiac nurse, and although I believe Mac, under NORMAL circumstances, ACLS calls you to perform CPR and meds on a person that is in asystole. You cannot shock a heart that has no rhythm (verified by the ambulance records that he had no b/p, 0 respirations, and no pulse). I believe he had been dead for several hours before he was found. Very interesting in hearing about how Dr. Nick was possibly called before the ambulance. It is believable especially given the circumstances of why/how Elvis died. Mac is a sweetheart, either way ❤️
Now, I can't put ED or EL, but I CAN write SGF, there are many things that point in either direction. I find this story compelling.

Sounds silly but I find your voice comforting, for just that reason.
Now, I am an Elvis fan but I grew up listening to his music. I am not one of those who know every detail about his life, though I have been learning over the last few months. I just know his music, his movies, that The Colonel was not really good for him and that his own Entourage kept Elvis in a kind of cage. I know that, straight man of 58 years that I am, I weep still, at certain songs and scenes from the movies.
I wish many things, I know that I would have been tough on Elvis in ways that none of his group ever were.
And I thing that departing, in ANY manner at the age of 42 is just far too soon.

I truly think that on August 16, 1977 Elvis passed away from a heart attack due to being so heavy due to having a impacted bowel. He wasn't able to have a bowel movement and he was straining so hard that it caused him to have a heart attack. So sad. So many people have made jokes about him. That's so sad.

They made up the DOA story to protect everybody who tried to save him.
They did everything they could for him. Grieving fans would have made them scapegoats.
