I've eyeing the Morjas Brown Suede Ivy Loafer. Just haven't pulled the trigger. For that price point there's so many options so I've just been unsure what to grab.
What pants are you wearing when modelling the loafers? I love the Morjas Belgian. I have them in brown suede and will be purchasing the black leather soon
So you normally wear a 7 US and for these went down a half size as recommended to 6.5? I’m also a 7 so just trying to compare as I find the perfect Belgian
So funny. You and I are the same way. I had my 1st black tie wedding last month and I was ALL over TH-cam on Black Tie etiquette. 😎. Even bought some sheer socks 👌🏾 ✨ Great video my man. And nice shoe choice
Sadly Swedish brands are almost all scams. They take Spanish and Portuguese shoes and 2x the price. These are the exact same as Skolyx Belgians that are $160.
@@ray_t05 I also have a gh bass in UK10.5/US11. Skolyx/Yanko recommends to size up as the belgian loafers runs small so I went with UK11/US12. you can check out their website for the sizing guide where they do mention 90% of customers get the right size following their guide.
talks about formality and then decided to buy a pair of deer skin belgium loafer. nice purchase, however they are not formal enough for tuxedo tbh. to each their own. it would have been a better purchse if these loafers were velvet tbh
@@JamesHerlihyI'm on the camp that thinks that a discreet dress watch is completely acceptable. ideally no bulky sports watches however, those I would consider to be too loud
This is weird. Not the shoes, but the whole brand/naming stuff. First I thought they were Belgian made, but apparantly it is a common sub-genre of Loafers. But what is weird, as I'm from Belgium, that the mode naming is mostly French influenced. So they are mocassin here. Belgian loafer is quite dumb, as it would not make sense in Belgium. I would just say these are granny shoes. If you go to the average big-size ladies shoe brand from Spain, and buy there directly, you get this for like 100€ max. Same factory probably. The difference is that you might see 1cm more of your foot instep. Another benefit is that the variety of colours and heel heights is bigger. You can even go to 8cm heels if you like. Heeled mocassins. And if Morjas would be a quality brand, they would have a quality website. There is some essential stuff missing: - no address, no phone number - no info on material sourcing, production, dyeing process, environmental inpact other than very generic stuff on brand level, not per item. You may try my Andy Pola's, but the thing is as woman I have bigger feet than you, and they don't make shoes is regular female sizing....

That's tuff! For me... carmina are great but haven tired the ivy yet.
@@JamesHerlihy Would love to see how you style them more casually.
Maybe I'll grab a pair in the future!
I’ve also been looking at the it loafer, I just love that silhouette. What similar brands have you looked at so far?
@@Ibanez3xParaboot Adonis has been up there for sure. Horatio Dartmouth is another on the list.
Yanko, the best quality price range. Made in Mallorca, Spain same quality as Carmina
my buddy just got them they seem like identical pairs
Great review-just subscribed! Do you prefer Morjas over Blackstock & Weber?
Both! They are really different vibes honestly
What are the pants at 2:58 ? I love them.
They are pleated suit supply trousers from a few years back in black

I checked this out you're totally right haha I think I might buy a pair and compare.
hearing some MVP chants
Have you tried shoes from Skollyx? Been thinking about getting some.
Is Skolyx not a swedish brand as well? Curious how you found out about them.
@@DavidBecket-jk3oo I actually meant to say Yanko. I just saw them on Skolyx. I’m 95% sure.
Where are the pants from 3:04
They are linen suit supply trousers. I can't remember the name.
Love the black linen trousers. ❤ What brand btw? Thanks
thank you! they are suit supply!
how do you think sizing of these compare to the horsebit loafers? also half size down?
I'm not sure I believe the website has a size chart that helps based off lasts
Hello, what is your foot size in CM?
Im not 100% sure but i think I’m like 26cm
Skylox belgians - same thing for $160
That's crazy just googled them. I would like to see them side by side
thought the same thing! just got a pair from Yanko / Skolyx, and they seem indifferentiable from the morjas
Agreed. I wonder if they are from the same factory.
@@zanyeteohow’s the sizing on skolyx im 10.5 regular width on gh bass

best belgian loafers are from baudoin and lange the stride loafer. expensive but holy fk they are worth. also CNES has top belgian loafers
my buddy has a few pair of boudoin and loves them.
Good review.. Great Shoes. I just don't think those look good with shorts. Perhaps a lighter color would.
Than you. Appreciate your insight
I prefer Berwick 1707s
Those are cool. I didn't see a leather option. Price point seems really nice too

you're also not supposed to wear a watch during black tie but I had mine on.

dude… the shoes were handstiched/made in belgium and shipped to NYC back in the days. they were getting popular in the US.
What are you talking about, they do have all tha info on their webpage.
U wear a 6.5???? LMAO
Right lol
