Awesome collection Stacksy. Autoracks and white reefers do seem to be the most preferred "canvas" for the taggers. 😊

Yeah sure seems like they go after them cars more then others.. At least some of the nicest art seen is on them.. Would really love to see refrigerated boxcars on this line but CN has taken over with their "cool containers" that get loaded onto the intermodal stack well cars..

@@STACKSY I love CN trains mate, but I do think it's a shame they don't use the big reefer boxcars (and also truck trailers on flats) like BNSF & UP do. Can't have everything though. 😊

Agreed it seems they have their own logistics that work for them rite but is always interesting watching the changes come about over time as well!@@petesopenrailsvideos

Looks like the Railroads are fighting the battle by putting new markings over the graffiti. Ironic that I saw that same "SEASICK" graffiti on a video earlier today out of Illinois.

Yeah, I noticed that too mate. The new UP boxcars and reefers... and at least the newer TTX boxcars all have the reporting marks etc up high so I took it that they had officially decided they couldn't beat the taggers so they were just going to make it easier on themselves and have to do less repainting.

Yeah bin noticing the buff paint allot lately... Just with CN rail though. CPKC leaves whatever from what we can see on their freight cars that come through.. Wonder if it has do do with international traveling cars or just where they are in certain cities to keep profanity or gang messages off them.. It's pretty wild when you consider how far and quick some of these freights travel..

Funny you say that Pete was just chatting with someone about the higher reporting marks you see on the newer boxcars.. It must be from companies that use the boxcars not knowing where to look for the numbers if they're painted over.. The average car should have the numbers in at least 8 different places on the car, Each side, front and back of the car & the wheel trucks all have matching reporting numbers for identifying.. @@petesopenrailsvideos

@@STACKSY I just learned something there mate. I'd never spotted reporting marks on the trucks before!! As far as the sides go, I just don't know enough to work out the how & why of it all, especially considering how much of it must all be on computers now. I guess we'd have to pick the brain of someone in the industry to really understand how important (or not) the reporting marks still are. I'm scratching my head lol.

i wanted to know if some of the paint on the autorack cars went through the grills and small hole and onto the new automobiles.

All this has passed my house I'm sure. That's all Mexican graffiti! completely different from Canadian graffiti. Has Kansas City Southern, Ferromex, BNSF, CSX, Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern always passed your way? Great video Mr. Stacks!!!

Oh wow yeah all these normally come through but not in big amounts at once.. Also they are usually being pulled by CN locomotives.. Would be pretty rare to see a BNSF, CSX, or UP on the CN line but they have been seen on the CPKC line quite often in this area before..
Appreciate you coming by RealityMaster hope you're doing well man!
