I’ll always love Joey’s reaction to figuring out Monica and Chandler’s love affair!
definitely one of the funniest moments in the series!
IN LONDON?!?
The look on Chandler's face as he realizes Joey of all people figured it out.
I can only dream of having reactions as funny and entertaining as Joey's hahaha
Joey's brain ruptured beyond repair when he put 2 and 2 together about Chandler and Monica 😅
This comment made me literally laugh out loud, I love it!
Joey has the best reaction ever!!! SO FUNNY!! 🤣🤣🤣 "IN LONNNNNNDONNN?!" It's been so long since I've seen this episode, I forgot how funny that is.
The fastest Joey has ever figured out anything 😆
Joey finding out is still one of my all time favorite moments in the show.
I like the moments when the joke passes over your head. It's normal, but when you watch the show 11 hundred times like me you catch every subtle joke. For example when Joey says "I can hear you" once they're out of the apartment, the joke is that Joey is bluffing, and expects them to keep kissing even though he asked them not to. :D
Oh dang, I totally missed that one haha! Thank you!
You’ve entered one of the best runs of Friends episodes in the entire series
I do understand Emily for not wanting Ross to hang out with Rachel anymore, but it is something you can't ask. The marriage already failed the moment Ross said "I do Rachel", regardless of Ross getting to see Rachel or not. Feel sorry for Emily tho
Its something Ross shouldnt have agreed to. I understand why he did but it I dont blame her for asking and Ross could never actually keep that promise. It was doomed and he should have accepted that in the moment
Actually it's "take thee Rachel" 😂
@@bidishahTrue!
Emily should’ve just called off the wedding when he said someone else’s name. Instead, she decided to finish the ceremony and then act like a total psycho?
Nah, she sucks and I don’t feel sorry for her. This is a cautionary tale of what happens when people meet & get married in like 2 months.
I understand too especially since Rachel is his ex as well
Courtney Cox was never nominated for an Emmy. What a shame: she makes Monica flawed but so lovable. Peace, all 💕
That truly is a shame. Her portrayal of Monica is absolutely stellar, and makes her character so damn likeable as well as believable! I know it's a cliche complaint, but award shows in Hollywood rarely seem to get it right
And one more thing. Regarding Chandler's lack of selfastime, that's sadly based on Mathew's real life as he talkes about it broadly in his autobiography. He did not feel worthy of love for majority of his life and it heavily affected his relationships, e. g. with Julia Roberts. He broke up with her bc he didn't believe she would want to stay with him in a long rune anyway. Very freaking sad. R. I. P. Mathew. Regardless of my believs, hope he found love somewhere there above.
It really is so sad, he was and is loved by so many! RIP Matthew Perry
Love it when an epiphany hits Joey! He was the first to know about Mondler because he had two obvious clues dropped in front of him; he was the only one privy to the clue of the eyelash curler
Chandlers mini fight with Monica kinda emulates his real life relationship with julia roberts, in real life he ended things up with her before he thought she would've ended it, sad tho, because she really seemed to live him.
"You lift right out..." ~Rachel about Phoebe. 😆 The whole idea that friend groups actually do sometimes exclude a member for whatever reason is too real. And that's why Friends is such a great show, they address life's complications.
YES! Beyond the great writing and jokes, one of the reasons "Friends" has been so enjoyable to me is this exact reason: tackling real life interpersonal complications that, while silly and fun, are relatable in a more serious way as well
I agreed with Emily right up until she was telling Ross to throw out all his stuff. It was understandable to ask not to see Rachel anymore and that shoulda been end of discussion
Same. Although I suppose her wanting a fresh start in a new apartment (I imagine she's not bringing any of her stuff either) kinda makes sense.
It's not understandable when you consider that Rachel's roommate is Ross' sister.
@@jp3813 it is understandable considering that person is his ex and he said their name at the wedding instead of his wife’s fuck your mean it’s not reasonable? She shoulda dumped Ross asap. She was also moving halfway across the world to be with that man in spite of what he did
@@jinxysaberk Notice that the word "sister" doesn't even show up in your reply. Staying away from Rachel means that Ross would have to limit his relationship w/ Monica as well. Heck, Emily even called Monica & Rachel's apartment and somehow expects the latter to not live there anymore. Emily is trying to change even Monica's life.
I agree with you. That's completely fine to ask someone to not hang out with their ex anymore, but she crossed the line when asking to sell stuff and checking on the phone. I think the writers had to make Emily BATSHIT CRAZY in order to write her off.
Joey finding out is possibly my favourite scene in the whole show.
For frikkin 15 years, any time anyone says "London" even near my sister and I, we go, "In LONDON!" We live in South Africa, but you'd be surprised how often people mention London. But, at this point, we just gotta do it. Its like a law of the universe now.
East London baby!
Nick, your reference to Mr. Mercedes for the dog's death, WOW. Have read it but never thought about it 😂. And yes, Emily went way overboard.
Joey's realization face is amazing and iconic! 🤣
Cant wait for episode 8. One of the best ep ever
7:27 Always gets me. I swear Rachel is the second most sarcastic after Chandler. 🤣
joey being the first one to put it all together was seriously one of THE best decisions cuz obviously youd think he'd be the LAST one to figure it out
i just loveeee the joey reaction when he finds out about monica and chandler
I think that's what makes Chandler so relatable, its probably not that he gives up on his relationships but probably that girls broke up with him anytime things got a bit shaky. He probably learnt to assume it was over when his girlfriend got angry. But I love his relationship with Monica cause she didn't give up on him so easily. RIP Matthew Perry.
RIP Mathew perry ❤
I understand Emily but what’s she’s asking for is an impossible task. Rachel is his sisters best friend and roommate. Ross wouldn’t be able to see his family or friends either.
I am Team Ross here but we have to remember: while Ross would be isolated from family and friends, so would Emily. She’s leaving literally everyone she knows behind (besides the rugby guys) and moving to a whole new country across an ocean. Too many people (generally speaking) act like Emily is losing/sacrificing nothing.
That being said, she was the dumbass who agreed to continuing the ceremony AFTER Ross said the wrong name. They didn’t have to keep going.
@@j.s.viewer3923 I see both their points and I think it would suck anyway if they both had to move away from people they loved and just had each other. The resentment would absolutely boil over and the jealously would never go away. Emily would always be suspicious of him rightfully so and Ross would just be used as a punching bag because of his guilt and desire to make his marriage work. It would be an absolute disaster.
@@elinama7061 Exactly. There was no winning here in any scenario
Fun fact: Danny is played by George Newbern known for being the english voice of Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII media before the Remake
Most roles are played by actors, yes.
The rock/mineral joke got me good😂 I’m watching breaking bad rn for the first time
Not rocks! Minerals!😂
Oh I love that you know Mr Mercedes! Just finished rereading that book again.
I just read finished it a couple months ago, and I might have to read it again. I was at the park finishing the last couple chapters, and it was so intense I couldn't leave until I finished. Possibly my favorite of Stephen King's, his writing was simply outstanding in that one, I'm honestly surprised more people don't mention it when speaking about great Stephen King books
@@nickreacts6394 You should read the other books in that series. Finders Keepers which
circles back to their agency and one of the victims of Mr Mercedes and then End of Watch which digs deep into Brady Hartsfield and Bill Hodges again. Very engaging. I'd also mention that if you like Holly Gibney you could read The Outsider and Stephen King's most recent book Holly. King said in an interview that Holly Gibney was supposed to be a side character but she just captured him and demanded to be more.
LOL the rocks/minerals Breaking Bad reference 😂
Season 5 is a perfect season!!! Can't wait till the resolutions🤣
Contender for the quickest Joey has ever put something together. Great moment!
God, I love Chandler & Monica's breezy, healthy relationship make-up scenes with a burning passion. They're SO different from Ross & Rachel, but never boring, not to me.
Very true, Joey can be surprisingly sharp when it counts! And yes Chandler and Monica are so different from Ross and Rachel. Something about their chemistry/ dynamic is just so unique and charming.
As for Emily and Ross… “trainwreck” is the perfect word haha. Although hopefully with some distance she can see some of the absurd humor in what happened
The said thing is that this with him thinking the relationship was over and he wasn't worth it was more or less the story of his life... And he didn't realized that as he was playing this scene...
It's about to get even better! 💙💜❤
Rules help control the fun!
I just love Monica man…
"In LONDON?!?!" 🤣🤣🤣
Such a fun reaction to some great episodes, not sure how far ahead you are but you're in for a treat.
With a nosebleed never bend je head to the back for a long time like rachel did. Because it can go down your throat into your stomach, you'll get sick and probably puke
That is what I learned in a First Aid course
I learned the same thing. Head is supposed to go forward, not back.
I didn't know this, thank you for telling me!
Emily went way overboard forcing Ross to sell all of his stuff including his apartment, just because of Rachel. And the final blow for me was her saying "Ross should know better than that by now". Like girl, BYE!!! No matter how much you would try to understand her feelings, that is TOO much. Joey was totally right! No trust, no healthy marriage!
that and calling Monica' apartment where Rachel also lives and being surprised that she's there with Ross and the others 😂
@@AlessaParker Exactly. That is what I also said in some other post. That what does Emily expect Rachel to do everytime Ross comes to visit Monica? Just leave her own home!!??
She was right not to trust Ross. Or Rachel. Rachel and Ross are being disingenuous. With each other, their Friends who are enablers and especially any potential romantic partner that comes into the picture for either one of them. They want to stay in each other's lives on a daily basis not because they're such good friends, but because they can't let go of the mutual deep rooted feelings of wanting to be more than Friends. They crossed that line and once you do, you've passed the point of no return. It's lovers or bust. But, that's Ross and Rachel's MO: it wouldn't be them to just take each other out. No. They have to have a huge body count around them of collateral damage romantic prospects too.
@@pablosonic892 I don't agree with the point of no return part, but yes, they're definitely not trustworthy.
@@pablosonic892 Where Emily went wrong is in trying to control Ross' life.
When I was a kid those high speed car chases were so exciting. They would be on like every channel.
One of the things I love Mondler is how they communicate and move on when they have a fight. The opposite of Ross and rachel
Ross and Rachel truly are a textbook example of how not to act in a relationship.
That's mostly due to Monica since Chandler clearly almost ended their relationship here.
Well no, because when R&R were together, Rachel did actually communicate her feelings to Ross when they had their first argument about her job and seeing him less due to being so busy. It was Ross who was immature about it and couldn't handle the fact that she was finally doing something she really loved.
@@jp3813 Still maturely communicating.
@@GEMINICHAI Yes, that specific time it was Ross.
The Emily/Rachel storyline surprisingly hits close to the heart because I kind of was Rachel in that situation. I met my friend at 11 and we were besties, sticking together and supporting each other through the hardest times of our lives up until I was 26. That's when my friend was starting this new relationship that they were apprehensive about but my other friend and I were supportive and were more than excited to welcome a new friend into our group. They started dating, then they got engaged and we started seeing less of our friend. We understood that the relationship was a priority so didn't get upset when our invitations for lunch or little trips were declined. Then out of the blue, we were unfriended, unfollowed and blocked. It was only later that we were told the fiance didn't like us and wanted us out of the picture. So not entirely like Emily/Rachel but close. We've never heard from the friend again. It honestly sucks to be dumped by a best friend and personally I couldn't do that to a friend, but to each their own and hopefully their marriage is happy.
George Newbern (Danny) looks so alike Drew Seeley, who was the singing voice of Troy in high school musical 1!
I always wait for ur commentary it really makes my day
Thanks so much!
"Father of the Bride" would be an AWESOME addition to your viewing! Someone mentioned it before me but had to give my 👍
Love your great reactions. Thanks!
You are the only person I have heard referencing Mr Mercedes, great read!
I was hooked start to finish, probably my favorite Stephen King book I've read (with the exception of On Writing, which is incredible)!
@@nickreacts6394 I've read loads of his books but On Writing has slipped past me, I shall look it up! One that I enjoyed last year was Billy Summers, very different style. Loved Mr Mercedes, also hooked from the start.
21:35 is giving colleen ballinger
At the end of the day they shouldn’t have still gotten married after Ross said Rachel 😅😂
3am is early morning? It’s 3.30 currently here and I was planning to watch this episode before going to bed…
Its funny how when it comes to sex, Joey becomes Sherlock Holmes! 😅😅
Lol love the shirt, Nick! 😅
Thank you! :)
I understand where Emily is coming from as well. That being said, the main issue isn't Rachel, it's Emily not trusting Ross anymore. And demanding all these things of Ross is not only extreme but very unrealistic. How are they gonna make this marriage work if she can't trust him? And while Ross is right that marriage is about compromise, it has to work both ways. Ross is giving up everything while Emily is giving up nothing. It doesn't work like that.
Originally, Ross and Emily's marriage was supposed to last longer but Helen Baxendale's (Emily) pregnancy changed that. She was already showing and unable to travel to the US to do any filming for S5 (except the first episode), so that's why her scenes are filmed from an angle her bump wouldn't be seen.
When Monica and Chandler are arguing in their hotel room after the car chase is over, the theme song for ER is playing in the background, which starred George Clooney and Noah Wyle (both of whom appeared earlier in S1).
A few goofs/mistakes:
When Chandler opens the door to the bathroom to reveal Joey asleep, the toilet is to the left. However, in earlier episodes, the toilet has been shown as being to the right.
Rachel claims that Kip, Chandler's old roommate, dated Monica and when they broke up he was "phased out." However, earlier in the series, when Joey and Chandler are buying a new table together, Chandler says he and Kip "bought a hibachi together and then he ran off and got married". Which also doesn't make sense that Joey doesn't seem to know who Kip is (it is possible he forgot though).
If Joey put the box under Monica's bed right after they came back from London, that insinuates that she hasn't cleaned her bedroom since (or at least under the bed), which is weird.
Lastly, George Newbern who plays Danny has been in a TON of stuff, including Father of the Bride and its sequel which I HIGHLY recommend. It stars Steve Martin, Martin Short (or Steve Martin Short as I like to call them), Diane Keaton and more. It is hilarious but also very heartfelt and emotional.
The problem isn't that Ross still has feelings for Rachel or that Emily doesn't trust Ross, as well she shouldn't. It's that they're trying to make the relationship work when it has already broken down.
@@Br0nto5aurus The marriage is broken down because of lack of trust.
@@Heida77I don't think she has a reason to trust though. I'd also point out she is moving to another country. That's giving up a lot.
@@chelseyweber8089 Exactly, she didn't trust him anymore. And she was already moving before this happened. It was easier for her because Ross has Ben so Carol and Susan would've had to move too.
That's exactly right regarding Ross and Emily: it's not about Rachel, it's about trust. Plus that's a good point about marriage, it only works if the sacrifice is happening on both sides. I do wonder what the arc would've been like if Emily (Helen) wasn't pregnant in real life. I doubt things would've worked out, but it could've been interesting to have her in the show more.
I know of the show ER but have never heard the theme song... ok I just listened to it and I like it, although it's no "Law & Order" opening (that one has serious nostalgia for me, my parents would watch it and I remember my Mom dancing with me during the intro song, which I always liked). I can't tell if the show is serious is more lighthearted from the theme.
As far as Kip I'm sure that's a minor rewriting of history, but in my Head Canon Joey just forgot about him. Makes me feel better for forgetting so many things in reaction videos haha :) But there is ZERO chance Monica forgot to clean under the bed
Father of the Bride is on my list of upcoming reactions! I knew Steve Marin was in it but Diane Keaton too? Dang that should be fun!
Minerals Marie 😂😂😂
Idk, I recognized Danny right away by the eyes and manneurisms ^^' And tbh, Rachel is shallow. She's also very warm and caring, but she definitely is shallow. Their interaction is golden 😁
YES J have read Mr Mercedes and I love you for that :D
I did always agree with Emily up to a point, but I really don't think you can tell someone to not see a friend like Rachel. She's not just an Ex.. their friend group is more like their chosen (and real) family. You cannot just basically kick someone out of the group. 😢
I definitely see both sides and their actions, but one thing that always got to me is that Ross was very adamant in stating he just couldn’t be divorced AGAIN. Almost like that was his motivator sometimes.
Cmon, monica of all people was unaware of the giant box in her room that she didn't put there?
In London!
It's so painful to watch these now that Matthew Perry is gone. I don't know if I'll be able to rewatch Friends for a very long time now.
5:5-The One with the Kips
5:6-The One with the Yeti
I love how Joey puts it all together about Monica and Chandler and about blows a gasket. I think the Ross/Emily storyline is the dumbest one Friends has. No, wait, second dumbest. But Emily is out to punish Ross. Staying away from Rachel is one thing. Even switching apartments. But throwing his stuff away? No, that is punishment and trying to control him. At that point, there is nothing that is going to make the marriage work. Nothing ever was the moment he said the wrong name at the altar.
I fell Ross wanted to make "this marriage work" not because he was SO In Love with Emily but because he didn't want another divorce.
Also side note on the actress who plays Emily...she was SO pregnant by this time in the series they could only show her on the phone or in bed from waist up. She looks amazing though. 😁
Definitely agree that Ross got married to Emily too fast. I always believe that couples should be together for a few years before even getting engaged. I doubt many marriages that occur within a few months of the couples getting together last very long.
When it comes to sex, Joey is Sherlock Holmes.
Ross is such a good guy.
My sister was a housekeeper for a hotel and on a trip made us change 3 times because of it not meeting her standards. 😂
Will you consider reacting to "The Nanny" after friends? Or even alongside Friends. It's a really great show
why did you change it from thor reacts to nick reacts ?
I'm sorry but the fact that Emily continued with the wedding after he said Rachel's name said a lot about her to me. Then the fact that she actually thought she could keep Rachel out of his life when she is living with his sister. Like, the idea that they were rushing things never occurred to either of them?
Emily isn't reasonable at all. I totally understand not wanting to live in the house you're afraid your partner cheats in you in, that's reasonable, but she has no evidence Ross cheated on her. Selling all the furniture makes no sense, non of it makes much sense. At that point, Emily is trying to find solutions for the fact that the relationship is over instead of facing reality. And when you try to do that, the "solutions" become more and more extreme and that's bc there simply isn't a true solution for the situation. She would need to face reality and make an equal effort for anything to work out and she's failing to do that
Emily’s behavior & thought process is the most realistic thing to me. No way any of us would be cool with Ross’s behavior or Rachel since clearly she was ready to get with him ON his honeymoon before he even found out what the fallout of what happened at the wedding was. Ross/Rachel is this famed love story but it always causes them to be insensitive & hurt other people who’ve fallen in love with them & that’s toxic. In this sitcom it’s entertaining & we root for them but in real life, they would both be unbearable.
Bahubali part 2 reaction pls do fast
Nick have you heard about Matthew’s passing away? Are you gonna address it or have you decided no to talk about it ?
He knows - he addressed it on the Community tab
He has addressed it already and these episodereactions were filmed BEFORE Matthew passed away.
He's already addressed it in a community post. Also these videos are filmed way in advance, probably last month.
I believe he knows, he posted that these were recorded before Matthew passed away. *still cant believe it.
Thanks for the reply. I usually just watch Buffy and Friends reactions. It still feels odd to think he’s no longer here. Matthew really was Chandler is so many ways, it’s nice to know that he’ll live forever in millions of people memories forever.
Are you going to finish Band of Brothers?
Thank you I was thinking the same thing!!? His brother is doing Band of brothers and only has one more to go should be up soon
I finished the series a while back, I just didn't edit everything for TH-cam because most of my audience wasn't interested. But all the episodes are on Patreon :)
I used to like Monica till she got to be with Chandler, from this point on, she went getting more and more annoyed about everything.
When they went to Vermont, whats the big deal that he was watching TV for a couple of minutes, i thought was kind of fun but she got so mad that end up the trip right away, kind to much, i mean if it was someone else their relationship would end right there for good.
Later on she would always complain that he wasn't good enough on anything, even in bed, when at begining she said that he was great🙈🙉🙊🤷
Emily was right and had good judgment on the Ross/Rachel issue as most of us know what happens later on with them. Plus he did give up julie for rachel, who's to say he wouldn't do it again later on, he was married to Emily but in love with Rachel. Rachel wasn't really happy for him honestly. She keeps sabotaging his relationships just to reject him later on
i didn’t like emily before, she was over doing it with buying new shit and making him move. like first of all rachel doesn’t have to leave that’s her place she lives in, and i just don’t feel sorry for her after she still married ross, like why would you wanna be with him after that still? they were never gonna last, ross will never be ofer rachel no matter what they say. please react to a cinderella story 2004 please!!!! with hilary duff.

Emily for me was going to far. You make sacrifices in a marriage but Ross was the only one sacrificing.
Ummm, not one to stick up for Emily but wasn't she leaving her whole family and life behind to marry Ross? I think that qualifies as sacrifice.
@IceQen1 true , I guess I was wrong with that and I liked her character the whole season 4. I just don't think she should be able to control Ross . Plus people ussually don't stay friends with xes. So in a way understand Emily's point of view, but a little too controlling.

A lot of people feel like Emily had a right to make these demands because of what Ross did, but honestly it was delaying the inevitable. If there is no trust, there is no relationship. Period. End of story. Forgiving someone and taking them back does not mean you get to torment them or keep them under lock and key, even if they volunteer it as penance. It does not mean you get to keep the event as a card in your back pocket to pull out on a whim. And if thats your mentality, you do not love the person you're trying to stay with.
I haaaaaate Emily
As soon as I heard you haven't watched Fast& Furious and thinking back about Matilda, Harry Potter, Lindsay Lohan's movies, Friends...... I can't help but wondering....where have you been?? No disrespect, genuine question.
