"Formulas fatal to the flesh" and "Gateways to annihilation" are key albums to understand Portal. They opened a path and Portal followed it. Astonishing guitarwork vision... Horror Illogium, guitar master!!
Indeed, specially ´Formulas to the Flesh` . Having said this I find myself enjoying Portal more than I do Morbid Angel . They just delved deeper into that ´portal` you mentioned ... it´s horrifying and unintelligible to the trendy , uninitiated masses ... and that spells - ´great !` - in my books .
@@saraivatoledo1842 Yeah, that´s it. I´d love a Morbid Angel reborn like the Gorguts new era, with Luc Lemay wearing Portal and Deathspell Omega T-shirts, and a long song like Pleiades´Dust. Trey is still a terrific guitar player!!! Horror Illogium is the new Azagthoth for me.

The crunching sounds from me eating my grilled cheese fit right in
Lol.
Seems like I’m not the only one that listens to extreme metal when eating.
this 3 yr comment made my day. You see? it doesnt matter how old comments are
@@buschovski1 and now my day has been made because your comment reminded me of one of my favorite metal bands! Fuck yeah!!
Nice. Good to Hear
Always impressed by Portal, this mini release is amazing. What a creepy ending too.
The production on this is much better than their later stuff
It's different for sure. I like the more trebly version on Sepia
I agree, I just posted a similar comment... the album stuff is too trebly
That noise at 7:13 gives me chills. I keep replaying it lol. Sounds like a pokemon almost
I have never heard such beautifuly controlled chaos before. Anaal Nathrakh is a close second.
Something about that album cover is so unsettling and I don't know what it is...
Such an insanely great band
oh yeah
Holy shit. Didnt know how much I needed this til now. Great discovery
Nice tremolo picking.
This band should be scoring horror films.
I actually very much prefer this version to the album, holy shit so good, brings so many good memories
Oz favorite! This and Impetuous Ritual are beyond. TRULY BEYOND! Nothing comes close
This 'band' exists between dimensions. The chaos is acheived struggling to manifest.
Reminds me of a band I seen in iron river WI at the NW Metal fest 16 years ago. Band called reverend pokiebunge form park falls WI.
Yeah! This band is fucking brutal. Thanks.
So need this
Crazy stuff here!
Awesome
You are indeed a metal maniac...
Also GRAVE UPHEAVAL! A whole other level of ineffable depth!!! All three of their bands....heaviest of this epoch in a league of their own!
🤘🏽
The End mills - perfect track to sing a long at satans Birthday bash

Hey

This is the kind of music you listening while descending to hell.
