And the princess Quanza still has some ptsd, poor girl. Wouldn't blame her she witnessed her mom, sisters and all her family all being poached for the ivory (her mom was a very famous elephant)
This is the place I really want to visit someday to meet the orphan. Umani springs is home for the handicapped elephants after they graduated from the nursery in Nairobi. Almost all elephants in Umani Springs has permanent physical injury. Please consider to adopt.
I live in Kenya and family I didn't know there was another sanctuary outside Nairobi. Beautiful
There are 3 places after the baby graduated from the nursery in Nairobi. After they are 5yo, they are being reintroduced back to the wild in Tsavo, Voi, Umani Springs. This special place, umani springs is for handicapped elephants. They can't be 100% back to the wild because of their injury.

This was amazing. I have been to Chiangmai twice, and the first elephant camp was pretty abusive, but the last one I went to… They claimed and I was pretty convinced that it was a great place for the elephants. They talked about how their philosophy was to love and care for the elephants, and teach them through rewarding good behavior instead of punishing negative behavior. Anyway, I hope to spend a lot more time around these animals in the future. Thanks for the awesome video.

Hey Christian - love what you're doing and project black tusk. I'm not being facetious asking this: why do you draw the line between helping elephants but then eating bacon for breakfast? Factory farming is 1000x worse than what these animals experience.
This question comes from a good place, I'm just genuinely curious. I've been vegan for over a decade now. A really great book on this weird hypocrisy that people have is 'Eating Animals' by Jonathan Safran Foer.
