Some one once said; if you want to make a small fortune in racing start with a BIG fortune. Just look at the haulers and pit equipment that teams run today. No way that winning most regular races can pay for this. Takes deep pockets on the team owners and a passion for the sport. Thank you to all of them for making a show for us to enjoy!!!
just depends, i run a 3 man crew and we alternate the driver each night but we all chip in pretty evenly but when you see people with the nicest rigs they also most likely own a company, that's how we got a rig every night, and its free advertisement for the brand and my buddy is a manager at a diesel shop so they help with engines the biggest thing in this sport is not really what you know but who you know
In the early 70s, I talked a friend into letting me drive his old hobby stock. My first race. We started in the back and were almost to the front when the RF wheel fell off. I was kinda bummed but my friend came up and gave me a silver dollar. He said I was a hired driver and drivers get half. He won $2 for last. We had a good laugh and spent our winnings at the bar.
Hey Tanner, because of you, we just received 6 bottles of Sprayway glass cleaner today in the mail. So we put it to the test on our windows and car windshields and holy smokes that is the best glass cleaner I've ever used. We just wanted to thank you for sharing this with your youtube family. I don't think I would go back to anything else. Amazon has a deal on it right now 6 bottles for 15 dollars wow this stuff is crazy good.
As a racer driving for my own team my entire life besides some kart races and a sprint car race, racing has never been a profit, I’ve rarely ever made money so it’s hard, tryna keep pushing tho
Hey Tanner, with Justin doing a show today on the HL charters, what are your thoughts on the charters? There's still a lot of unknown but just curious your thoughts
Hi tanner, I would really love to see a video explaining what guys who aren’t nationally touring do during the week/offseason. Like someone who just races NARC or SCCT for example. Do any drivers have a “regular” job during the week? Surely sponsorship doesn’t cover all racing and living expenses. Or maybe it’s mostly family money? Thank you.
Nice numbers that look good on paper until all the 1099's start flowin' in and you're having to file different returns for each state you may have been in as uncle sam klanks the tin cup for his 40%.
It's an entertainment business.. How many (insert) your favorite band or rock star.. Would make it to the next few shows if they were told you need to pay us to play for your fans???
Tanner, what are your plans for this year now that sprint car racing is over? We have heard drivers from coast to coast saying Brad Sweet has destroyed all sprint car racing and it is done and I'm sure these particular drivers are just entitled little whiners, right?
I pray 🙏 you do become the best Sprint Car Driver: . you have the heart willl and the enthusiasm to be the best .. Your well on your way.. if you read my comment below you can delete it soon as you read it
For his view count ad revEnue is about 100-800$ a month, more likely somewhere in the middle. Likely the bulk of his TH-cam revenue comes from partnership or “presenting episode sponsors”. Tanner is young and driven, he puts all this money back into his program and it allows him to continue to grow his family program. Not everything on the internet is for everyone. So if you can’t afford to throw a couple bucks for a raffle that’s ok, this TH-cam channel is free, zero cost to you. So what you wanna say is “thanks”. Maybe some day when he’s got a million subs and a billion views he can just throw parts Into merch orders, but for now he’s trying to pay for parts for 2025.
@H3110NU Hey, I never said that there's anything wrong with having a TH-cam channel or earning revinue from it. I only mention it because he forgot to mention it. And I regularly thank Tanner in the comments. I think one of the spin-off effects of the TH-cam channel is also that he has much higher recognition than other drivers at his level. That translates to more fans and selling more merchandise, too. Tanner is definitely as savvy and motivated guy. He well deserves what he earns, but that little raffle (give away) scheme is a different kettle of fish though. A lot of people commented negatively to that.
Sorry, no. Unfortunately you're second but there's always next video. You got good drive off the start though, that little bit of tire spin cost you the win
Maybe you can make money dirt racing..........Wanting more? Watch How Local Racing may be dead here - th-cam.com/video/eryJo1Jy20c/w-d-xo.html
Hey Tanner how fast do outlaw karts go?

this is true lol
Racing is often just a hobby for the rich. For 98 percent of all racers, you will not financially make things work out dollars and cents wise.

Hope you give Carly her 100.00 bucks back. lol

You're a good egg Tanner. Good thoughts for the new season.
Wish you luck Tanner.
Sprayaway glass cleaner is the bomb and love the smell
what are you chili bowl plans???
coming soonnnnnn
Do U ever think U mite come to Australia to race if so give Toowoomba speedway in Queensland ago . Mark from Toowoomba Queensland
My dad bought me a shirt from you at Knoxville for my birthday.
All the little bit of money I won racing enduros just barely paid enough for the pit pass 🤣
The one time I won above pit pass it was like $10 more lol
After paying the team driver and hauler how do owners even cover the maintenance on the cars
It's a tax write-off from their main profit motivated business.
They really don't. That is why teams need sponsors to work in a circle!
I thought you would explain how you charge sponsors for each placement on the car , in the pits, and online
Spray way rocks it in my vehicle and house.
Hey Tanner, with Justin doing a show today on the HL charters, what are your thoughts on the charters? There's still a lot of unknown but just curious your thoughts
I think it is a great idea, as long as it gets setup right. I think they could be very valuable!

Could be about anything. From factory work to running their business.

Yep Uncle Sam wants his portion of the pie aswell
Uncle Sam should sponsor racers lol
What about W2’s and/or taxable income on races won or any other money earned? Curious to know that part of the equation. Thanks
Good luck kid, shoot out, chili bowl ?
Awesome video
Go kick some butt at the Chili bowl TH!!!🏁
Chili Bowl, here we go!!!🎉✌️
Plus we have to pay just to get in
25 bucks per person
25? Sign me up...
Will you be running the chili bowl this 2025 run
Dental school, be cheaper for your folks.
When i raced it was 500 to win. Hell it cost me that much to get there. Lolol basically we raced for free .
60 percent fun 40 precent heart ach $000.00 payday
Love of the game
I’d be more interested in the team side of finances. Purses don’t foot the bills unless you’re the best of the best.
It's an entertainment business..

What would a band do if they were told they had to pay $40 each to get in the venue ?
@@tomlusty8376Bands pay to play.
Gotta get me some spray away

Why don’t Carly post on yt anymore?
How much did Sprayway pay you?
You forgot to mention TH-cam revinue and scammy lotteries you call 'giveaways'.
Yet here you are
