    Great vid mate! Looking forward to seeing your mod videos on the Squire!. That's a big money difference for not a whole lot lol. Paying for the name on the headstock most of the time.

      There's also a playability difference. A squire is a pain to play on compared to an actual fender.

    This was a great video. i´m currently looking into buying an affinity as my 2nd guitar and was planning on switching pickups and machine heads anyway.

    I have Bullets and affinity’s I prefer over my classic vibes and Fender’s. Not always the case but it’s definitely true sometimes. I have a bullet tele that I swear sounds looks and feels better then all of them.

    Nice vid mate. Couldn't tell much of a difference in sound between them in this video either! Both awesome guitars. 🤘🐴

    You should do a video comparing the Classic Vibes to the affinity. Or there’s also the contemporary series. Squires are truly amazing guitars for the money.

    I had a Fender Player Tele in 2019 and loved it - I ordered a Squier Aff. Tele in 2022 and sold my Player. The Player is worth every Penny but the Squier is just my Cup of Tea - Dark Sounds, lightweight and if I bump into anything or sth cracks - I just buy a new one - I really hate to care about a Guitar like its my childs head or sth 😂

    Shocked that your Affinity has a standard size body! Mine is definitely thinner with a belly cut

    My Affinity was made in Indonesia… so do they do both, in both countries. Obvs… Affinity’s made in Indonesia are super rare specials that not even Fender can live up to 😉🤣 good guitar for the dough. My sons first guitar and he loves it 🤘🏻The neck pickup is def a bit weak. Bridge sounds great.

      I finally found one of these Indonesian specials. Does your sons have 22 frets? How did you know about them? I'm guessing finding a backup is impossible :(

    I have the Butterscotch blonde MIM 2022 Fender Player Telecastor with smooth Maple neck and fretboard. I'm preferring to play it lately over my USA 1993 Gibson LP Standard, or my 1994 USA Fender Stratocastor. I was using my Gibson for my last few gigs, but my next gig is going to be my Telecastor as my main guitar.

    I had the same situation with a Tele copy regarding the bridge being lower output. It was a nasty sounding ear piercing twang that came out of it :P. Tonerider Hot Classics fixed the issue

    I wish I was more tech savvy with guitars. I'm a self taught player currently with a squire bullet, waiting on a mexican fender tele. I've never bought pickups or anything like that so it will be interesting to compare the differences. I didn't have an issue with intonation on my squire either. I was very surprised when I got it.

    I’m currently looking forward to buying a Squier tele, nevertheless I’m an intermediate player already. Friends are telling me Squier is mostly for beginner but I’m mostly doing it for the price. I don’t know if paying for a 2000 usd tele is worth it since I’m an intermediate. I personally think the big difference between both guitars is the price. Still I don’t know what decision should be the best.

    • @PherotoneStudios
      @PherotoneStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could pick up a Squier and use that forever but if you put better tuners on it, it’ll feel like a far better guitar. Then a pickup upgrade if you feel like it but it’s not always necessary

      Definitely go with the Squier, put some tonerider pickups on it a good intonation and a bone nut on the neck you’re good to go, even if you are a professional player you will have a guitar that sounds as good as any other expensive instrument you can get, in my case even better that’s one of my favourite guitars I own

      @@kalikrates1212 I did buy the tele~ I mean, it is not bad, I bought like a wah, overdrive, a reverb and a delay pedal. Not bad per se but still I might tune it when I can afford it. ☺️

    In Australia the Squier is around $400 and the player telecaster is over a $1000 new I bought both second hand only way I would have afforded them

    Im using 2017 Squier Affinity Tele. Been thinking of buying another guitar which is the new 2021 Squier Affinity Tele Deluxe. But, i decided to just use my old Tele and upgrade the pickups to Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound. Do you think i made a mistake by upgrading my old Affinity Tele rather than buying the new Affinity Tele Delxue?

    • @PherotoneStudios
      @PherotoneStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. If the guitar feels nice, upgrade the pickups and tuners and that’s the one.
      I’ve just done some serious upgrades on an Affinity strat and now it’s shockingly good.
      Everything comes of a CnC machine now so ignore what’s on the headstock and focus on how it feels

    Not any difference to my ears, nothing is perfect. I've had fenders in the past, and they have no personality, so I sold them, play Squier now.

    Great videos!!
    Glad the TH-cam algorithm gods put you in my list.
    I'm modding out an Affinity Strat for my son.
    and 81 Fender Tele (that is completely trashed) for myself
    What pickups do you recommend for the Affinity Strat that will eliminate the "hum" but, keep the "vintage chime"??
    (Think David Gilmour's sound)
    I was thinking Seymour Duncan Classic Stack - but They're way too expensive $279.00,
    DiMarzio Hot Rails are also way out of my budget.
    Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    • @PherotoneStudios
      @PherotoneStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the SDs you mentioned but I haven’t heard any which are noiseless and also retain the chime.
      I’d either go those noiseless SDs or the Fender Fat 50s custom shop pickups personally.
      What’s that tee like? Sounds really cool!

    • @Spaceman-jo5mz
      @Spaceman-jo5mz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PherotoneStudios Thanks brother.
      Guess I'l sacrifice the chime to eliminate the "hum" on the Strat. GFS has some rail pickups that cost 1/3rd of the SDs.
      Thinking I'll try them out.
      The Tele is an old 81 blonde black top.
      The electronics were trashed.
      It was my father's and had been played for decades in honkytonks in Texas.
      It's heavy and uncomfortable.
      I'd like to salvage it , put ObsidianWire electronics w/ 4way switch & Dimarzio Chopper pickup - bridge / Twang king pickup - neck.
      The cut aways should make it comfortable to play and lighten it up (I'm hoping)
