Spartan, I have found in my journey to learn cruisers that shooting a destroyer does way more than just damage. It causes panic and disorder in the caption. An experienced destroyer player is immune but honestly who is an experienced destroyer player nowadays. Even if you miss you are causing more mistakes, and more stress on the captain. Hitting the destroyer isn't everything, but just the knowledge that a cruiser is looking at you can cause destroyers to take torps or lose a gunfight.
What I’ve learned is that when you get a CV lobby, or you get a game with terrible teammates that’s how it’s going to be for the rest of the day so it’s best to log off and come back later. Matchmaking in legends seems to repeat itself.
@@lejenddairy Thanks for the tip, I didn't realize that. I was wondering why some days I would have a 60-75% win rate and other days a 5% win rate lol.
one of the options, is if you could remain out of spotting range, dont take the shot, sail silent, until one of your mates shoots and draw attention away
I always liked the Kirov over the Kutuzov, I know she only has 180mm guns but they are something insane like 70 calibers long so she punches well above her weight.
Idk Spartan I play Kutuzov differently than you do in this video. Getting rid of destroyers is important enough for me that I'll risk my cruiser to take out a DD. I generally follow behind my destroyer teammates at a reasonable distance and kinda point my guns in his vicinity anticipating that he has a good chance of spotting a red DD and Kutuzov makes short work of destroyers, especially if my teammate is also running his guns. Yeah I might get blapped if his support BBs are paying attention but more often than not they aren't which gives me time to deploy my smoke. Sure I use cover but my opening move is not to park behind an island...that's boring as Hell and not my playstyle. Velos sucks and needs all the help it can get. Even if Hayate doesn't land torps I've got even money that he can win a gunfight with the hapless Velos. Reload is pretty good and the guns hit hard. Poor Velos is in need of some significant buffs...rn it's perhaps the least capable DD in the game
If you mean AL Atago, she hasn’t came out in years since her Voice actress was in a scandal, so wg did not release her. Her replacement was basically ARP Harguro, who came out last year, which buff your HE damage and Pen by like +7%
Sup Spartan. Been a long time since I commented lol. I have a really awesome build idea about Republique. Essentially, you get a Level 16 4 Emile Guepratte, run brawler, crisscross, Megalomania, and reaching out XXL. Then use a level 16 4 Di Revel and a 16 4 AL Colorado as inspirations. The result: 13.9 seconds with all of the pricks from the epic reload mod. Which means that a Repub reloads the same speed as a Riga fully maxed out
I do agree that Ochakov is more enjoyable to play, but Kutuzov has way more dpm, guns and better fires per minute for consistent farming. Kutuzov still shines over the tech tree version Chapayev, because they are both squishy cruisers with bad concealment and other one gets to hide behind smokes.
The Kutuzov was one of the most OP ships in World Of Warships on the PC. In the early days on the PC, ships could fire without being spotted so if there was no destroyer spotting you could fire as much as you wanted without ever been spotted. Most ships had a narrow 2km window between max range of their guns and detection range so firing without being spotted was a real art form. The Kutuzov, if I am not mistaken had a window of 5k making it so easy to shoot and maneuver and NEVER be seen. The amount of unbridled hate I would get in chat was hilarious. Once Wargaming changed the mechanic to where you could no longer stealth fire, the Kutuzov was rendered obsolete instantly.
Anyone else notice kuznetzov was op on release? Was one of the only ships with 20km range at the time. Also pre eop nerf so fire reduction. Obviously lost firing range and got the eop nerf now.
So I bought the AL New Jersey because I wanted a premium Iowa class ship. I ditched that goofy AL cammo and went with a type three or four. I would be curious to know your opinions on mods for the ship. Is rudder shift worth it? My rational is she is a big monster and maneuvering her is a challenge. Am I wasting a mod slot for that?
“Immediately” Spartan there was an entire years gap between Ochakov and Kutuzov. During that time Kutuzov tormented games until the release of the US CLs, which then took that role. Kutuzov was in no way obsolete on launch. Although to be fair, it has been over 4 years now
Wargaming needs to give the sitting ships back on our observation planes to help with spotting and it's not an OP tool it's useful information they messed up that part when changing spotting mechanics we rely on destroyers way to much
I’ve been simping on USSR ships lately. Their shell velocity is fantastic. I really like the Pbag -no diddy- I picked up AL Sov Ros the other day… But haven’t played her cause of the stupid ass Hurricane.
I get that some of the ships are better than others, but I actually enjoy the challenge posed by some of these “lesser” ships. Spartan, you can play American battleships all day long and dominate (I should say you can dominate as much as your teammates will let you dominate) but don’t you get sick of that after a while? I play the lesser ships and try to be successful with them as a way to keep myself interested in the game.
@@SpartanElite43no question about that. Wording it a different way - do you enjoy the challenge that the lesser ships bring to the table? Do you find winning with ships like this Russian CL to be somewhat more rewarding?
I don't play it much because I get bad win rate with it, not that I don't have good games myself. You could say this about most ships these days, they don't want us to win. Seems like everyone gets trophies regardless.
nahh i played this thing when it released first time, battlepas, not a single cruiser that came close to performing the same as the kutuzov, fire chamche was amazing, range was good, only downside was the armor, if u think something is bad about this shit, please reconsider it cuz this thing is good

@@SpartanElite43 I think you’re actually reaffirming my point here. the hayate was going to inevitably get you but your team is currently gaining the cap advantage and the dd is trapped in open water far away from any caps and between two cruisers. That guy was singing praises for the turn back in instead of forcing him to gun down a kiting Russian cruiser at 9km as a dd getting shot by laser beams and a Mogami. These ships have a steeper learning curve, it takes me a while to re-adjust when i havent played in a while. Shot placement is key.
Provincen has a very effective spaced armour scheme, enen a Baltimore is unlikely to cit it anywhere apart from under the front guns.
