Your wardrobe looks really nice on you! It's funny because most of it is miles away from what i would pick out for myself, but on you it all makes perfect sense and looks so coherent and peaceful! Nice how you're showing people how good it looks when someone embraces their own looks, taste and values!
I had a real problem with clothes shopping and holding on to whatever clothing I had even if I didn't wear it! To the tune of four or five closets full! I've decluttered 12 bags of clothing so far and I'm down to two closets. Need to go through again and declutter more! Your videos are helping!
I share your point on wearing clothes for years. I do it too. I even have a sweater that my mom wore before I was born (I am in my late 20s) and it still looks better than some new items in stores. I have never bought something because it was fashionable at the time but because I liked it and my wardrobe consists mainly of things I have had for 7-8 even 10 years.
Vera, your wardrobe is lovely and well thought out. I’m impressed with the fact that you have cared for each piece, allowing for years of use. That’s commendable, esp. in this world of “fast fashion”. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Ann! What you said really resonates with me. I think it's so important to care for our pieces to allow for years and years of use. Even the ones I bought from fast fashion companies years ago are still in good enough condition to wear. So I think it really matters how we care for our items. :)
Love your wardrobe. It suits you. My fav is your pink sweater and green winter jacket. I have been decluttering my wardrobe for 3+ years. I am down to 58 items from 120. Everything is comfortable, my colors and appropriate for my figure. I have learned so much from TH-camrs like yourself regarding proportions, quality, fit, longevity and personal style. Occasionally an item doesn’t work out, I immediately donate to charity even if I only wore it one time. This is the most satisfied I have ever been with my wardrobe. Thank you for sharing your life.
I think a black or navy pencil skirt in a comfortable and not too clingy fabric that hits about mid knee would look great on you. It would pair nicely with your tops and sweaters. Your sneakers would look cute with it too!
The white Lacey blouse was my favorite, a true classic. I can see why you don’t reach for the black denim jacket. It seems a bit harsh for your personality. The mint green one, you are unsure of. I don’t know why. You choose that color on your couch pillow, your flower pot, your background on your website screens, I think you like that color. I think you should wear it in a video and see what you think after you replay the video. I have a lot less clothes than I used to. I have downsized to two areas, office work, and weekend. This has helped me to keep them in separate places, this way, I don’t accidentally wear inappropriate clothing. That sounds funny, but it’s true. Thank you Vera ! I have been enjoying your content for over five years now. 🌞
I thought I had paired down my clothing but now you really have me thinking about more items taking up realestate in my closet that can find a happier home. Post COVID shutdown more of my coworkers have commented on how comfort is key now in getting dressed and I agree. I need to re-evaluate also the "fantasy me" lurking in my wardrobe and will feel so much better to have more breathing room in my closet when it's all said and done.
Hi Vera, I‘m re-watching all of your wardrobe (decluttering) videos for the probably 20th time again cause I just love them so much😅 They just help me stay motivated and on track with my minimalist-ish wardrobe, are very entertaining but also relaxing and I just like your taste in clothing. So I was wondering if you could film an update video of your current wardrobe either a tour of it or a decluttering one? I love hearing you talk about why you like an item or not cause it helps me with making my own decisions when it comes to clothing and style😊 Greetings from Germany🫶
I honestly love the white top!! It might be a "trend" piece, but I find the puffy sleeve shape to be so flattering and feminine and found I added several tops to my own wardrobe with them since I know I won't be able to find them anymore, soon. Honestly, I have always found your wardrobe so lovely--it matches your soft and calm personality, looks so put together, and inspires me to keep things limited to things I love. Helps we have similar taste! ;)
I liked the green on you. Green can be hard to wear for those of us with fair skin and blonde hair, but you picked the perfect shade of green. I love your pink sweater best I think. I finally gave up on inexpensive tee shirts that lose their shape after a few washes and added 5 nice black tops as my basic look. My body shape has changed, so rather than living in pajama bottoms, I invested in two pair of jeans that actually fit. Thank you for being the catalyst I needed to have clothes that fit NOW rather than waiting for the elusive day that my 69 year old body will look like it did when I was 30! It feels very freeing. Have a wonderful weekend, Vera.😇
Oh I love that, you're amazing Karen!!! So happy that's working out for you :) Life is too short to have things we can't wear now :) You have a wonderful rest of your weekend as well!
Enjoyed this video! Thanks for the inspiration. Since your wardrobe is small, you know each of the pieces very well and you make sure they all get used. It was only in the last two years that I learned how much of a burden our clothes can be. The time spent shopping, the expense, choosing all the styles for the various aspects of our lives, the care, the space consumed, delivery, packaging...I love the mint green on you. Adds just enough pop of color, and that's nice to see once in a while.
That mint green shirt looks fabulous on you! 😍 mint & lavender are two pops of Color I have in my wardrobe. I can surprisingly wear so many different ways! Also I’m the most comfortable in my ankle length skirts! I love wearing them to church on Sunday’s!
Thanks Ronnie-Lynn!! I LOVE lavendar on others, but on me, I'm still not sure. I think soft pastels kind of wash me out. Perhaps the mint sweater works on me, because the color is quite saturated. Anyway, have a great weekend! 🤗💖
Your point about not having formal things made me think of a coral pink strappy maxi dress I bought on holiday... it's so impractical and there's so much fabric that it takes up too much space in a suitcase. It's in the maybe pile!
I've been wanting to minimize my wardrobe for months now. Yours is the first video I've seen on the topic that make it seem doable for me. Thank you for your great content!
Hello Vera! My clóset is based on comfort and life style...so, instead of jeans , I prefer leggins for Winter and dresses for Summer. Greetings from Argentina 💙
Thanks for sharing! Last time I checked, I was at about 65 items for all 4 seasons (which is a thing in Pennsylvania) 🙂 not counting undergarments. I have found that having less to choose from makes it much less stressful when getting ready for the day. I also have a lot of black in my wardrobe. Everything goes together now 🙂
My favourite is the “love all beings” t shirt, wish I could find one like that. I managed to get down to mainly clothes that I actually like wearing so I’m making progress :)
You look terrific in the new green sweater. It compliments your hair and skin tone beautifully. My most versatile skirt is a denim one with a little lycra/spandex in it for stretch and comfort. The fewer items i have in my wardrobe the better. When mine was much larger, I got overwhelmed and felt like I had fewer options...strange as that may sound. I did a Marie Kondo declutter several years ago, keeping only items I loved and then all the outfits I put together, I loved. In thinking about it now, I might have to get back in there and go through it again because I think it's grown a little since then.
Thank you so much!! :) Yes, I totally get what you mean about feeling like you have fewer options when there is lots of stuff in your closet. Simple and minimal feels so much better!! :) Happy to hear the marie kondo method worked for you when it comes to decluttering clothing :)
New subscriber/fellow vegan/aspiring minimalist- love this video! Just what I needed before starting my 29th year teaching elementary Art ❤️🙏🏼🎨 getting organized is my biggest challeng with all the art supplies never mind my own clothes closet- your tips are incredibly helpful
I really appreciate your video on your wardrobe. I wear scrubs to work during the week, but in my off time I wear jeans 90% of the time with either a sweater or sweatshirt or t-shirt. I loved your long grey sweater as I needed an idea of what to wear over a top with jeans, and that's a great idea! Occasionally I would like to dress up a bit and have 1 pair of black slacks that I can wear a tank top with, and 2 dresses. I also have a black pair of jeans to dress up a notch from bluejeans! I have 5 pair of shoes, and that's about it. I haven't formally minimalized - I just never liked buying clothes!
I had a hard time getting rid of some clothing items because ‘in case of..’. Even with the good decluttering tips from this channel. Then came the war. Just 3 countries from where I live. When I knew that trucks were leaving for Ukraine with everything needed, I didn't hesitate. I was sure that people could use the items and that they ended up well (acquaintances went along). Now I am very satisfied with my wardrobe and I have a different view on the whole 'fashion/getting dressed' concept. Good look Vera with finding a nice winter coat!
Hello Vera! I have a big problem with my closet and my clothes. I struggle the last 2 years to minimize my clothing and started my journey in minimalism. As an hsp I'm trying to declutter also my home but the past 5 years I'm moving all the time and in different cities. Your videos are very helpful for me and give me strength to continue. Thank you so much!
I think you can feel good about the green top. It's a great tone and blends well with your skin. This was an interesting demo of your wardrobe, and alerted me to a new shoe brand. Thank you.
I have created a uniform for myself to make getting dressed easier. Black pants, a solid top and a black or gray cardigan. It’s simple and comfortable for all the tasks I do as a stay at home mom.
Love the black long sleeve top on you with the jeans like that. You look good in navy. The oatmeal turtleneck sweater/sweatshirt seems like such cozy happy vibes. I also love the oatmeal sweater material tank top, the floral blouse, and the doc maartens
I really enjoyed that video! You look beautiful in all your clothing :-) I love that despite the fact that you have a minimalist wardrobe your tops are all very unique and different!
Like you Vera, I go for comfort and don't currently own formal clothes as lead a casual lifestyle. I love all your clothes and especially your shoes which look so comfortable. I'm happy with my wardrobe as have condensed it to a manageable amount and make sure I wear everything.
I enjoyed your wardrobe tour! My wardrobe is filled with prints and vibrant color. Most of my jeans are colored as well, although I do have regular jeans too. I also have colorful shoes to match the jeans. I would say that I really love putting together an outfit that matches along with fun colorful jewelry is my aesthetic. I’m sure there are items I could declutter but the quality is better than what I’ve purchased in the last few years. So I hang on to them and wear them occasionally. It was fun seeing what’s in your wardrobe! Thanks for sharing, Vera. ☺️🙌
Hi Vera! I really liked the green top on you. And, I am a sucker for a white T-shirt, Jeans, and red shoes. It’s just a classic look to me, so that was my favorite! Have a great weekend! ❤️
Very happy 4 shortsleeve black t-shirts+ 2 colourfull, 3 long-sleeved t-shirts +2 coloured, 4 jeans 4 summer cotton/ linnen trousers 2 stretch jackets (to dress up) 1 black dress and sorry 4 very old outdoor woolen sweaters in very different thickness that also are my winter coat 1 pair of shoes 1 pair of sandals 1 pair of heals Underwear for a week, yoga pants, socks😀 Most stay many years, if something is done I replace it, no sooner.🤗 So easy😅
I just recently discovered your channel and I love it! Your wardrobe is so beautiful, simple, and realistic. I love the way you are in touch with your lifestyle and your clothing needs. I also love to wear jeans, tops, and sneakers. I tried getting all of the "must haves" for a capsule wardrobe, and they never felt right. It's wonderful to be yourself!
Hi Vera! Love your entire wardrobe. My favourites are your pink sweater, your dress and your white blouse with flowers on. Great shoe collection as well.👌 Pretty happy with my own wardrobe although I'm still going to declutter a few items that I no longer love and wear. I used to have a way bigger wardrobe but feel like I have more to wear now. I do need a few basic items but I'm in no rush and will only buy when I really love something. Thank you for the video and have a great weekend ! ♥️
Love what you shared!!! I too feel like I have more options now, even though I have way fewer items :) Love what you said about not being in a rush and only buying something if you really love it!
Funny you mention the blue and pink sweater gets you most compliments! That's because you are a summer color type and these 2 shades (light 'cool' blue and light 'cool' pink) are 2 of your best colors 🥰😍
Thanks so much Julia!! Some other people also told me in the comments about me being a light summer type. So helpful to know! I'll definitely use that info going forward. Have a great week!
On your jackets. I love the casual 16:51 green boxy one and I like the nice teal/green winter coat that is warm and water proof. I would probably add a wool coat to your wardrobe. I LOVE my wool coat cuz you can dress up or down and the style is always in. I’ve learned the best length wool coat is longer then a pea coat but not as long as to the knees. Mid thigh works! Cuz whether your wearing pants, dress or skirt the length works for all three! And it’s not too much or too short.
I got rid of black from my wardrobe and tend to go for navy or charcoal instead. I wear jeans and tshirts through winter ( it doesn’t get too cold here in Australia where I live) and I wear dresses through summer. Comfort is my top necessity, if it’s not comfortable, out it goes.
On the subject of hoodies/warm jumpers it would be worth having a spare one to hand this winter, given that our heating bills will be increasing dramatically. I was going to declutter an old hoodie but have decided to hang onto it for the winter now in case it’s really needed.
Yes, great suggestion! I actually have quite a few things that are very warm. And I layer up as well :) So for example, I'll wear yoga pants underneath really warm pajama pants, and then a tank top, underneath a long-sleeved shirt, underneath a warm sweater. Then socks and warm slippers, and if I'm still cold, I'll curl up underneath a warm blanket. And only then, if I'm still cold, I'll turn up the heater a bit haha
My favorite has to be the flat shoes…. I have so much trouble finding comfortable shoes and those looked so pretty!!! Also, the pink shirt …. Perfect color for you !! Yes, I like the mint green … you look pretty in the color
Thank you Vera for letting us peek in your closet. You have lovely taste and your clothes are all stunning on you. I have decluttered to what is a great minimum for me. I have between 50- 100 for all 4 seasons here in the Northeast of the USA, depending on whether you count undergarments, socks, and sleepwear. I tend to wear leggings and soft tunics and cardigans. I do have lots of socks because I got them in bulk, which was silly. Like you, when I find something that is well made and I love, I keep it. So eventually my closet will shrink even more. It’s lovely and peaceful to look at all that open closet space and know I have plenty to wear for years to come! Blessings and grateful thanks Vera 🥰💖
I can totally relate to not being able to find bottoms because we share the same body type! It's so frustrating whenever I have to replace a piece, so I take reeeally good care of everything I own.
It made me chuckle when you mentioned that you get lots of compliments about your blue sweater because I've always loved the colour of that sweater too 😊. As for my wardrobe I pretty much have a 'uniform' which I stick to pretty much every day which consists of a long sleeve top over which I wear a plain t-shirt (think a less colourful/patterned and ethical version of what Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory wears lol 😂 ) paired with either jeans, chino trousers or shorts. When it gets too hot for that outfit (yuk) I will wear a simple shirt. I also have a hoodie for when it's chilly - now if I could find a new one in the same colour as your blue sweater I'd be a very happy bunny - and a winter jacket. I do need a proper rain coat (I think the UK can't be that different from the Netherlands in that respect 🌧☔). And talking of jackets I think your casual off-green jacket looks really great. .
Hahaha thank you so much!! Ah when you mentioned the long sleeve over the plain t-shirt, I immediately pictures Sheldon Cooper but in a less colourful/patterned way hahaha. I actually really like that look as well. And yes, you get just as much rain as we do I think!! :) I'm so looking forward to the fall
Thank you so much Teri!! :) Just figured out (from someone's comment) I'm a light summer type in the color analysis model, and it totally makes sense. That type also had lots of lighter pinks, mints and oatmeal colors.
I totally agree with you that the wardrobe must be match to lifestyle. If everything will match to case, mood and type of personal style then never have the problem what dress up.
Thank you for sharing your wardrobe with us. I only have essentials that is enough for a week. I worked out my lifestyle and how many times I do washing. I have dresses for hot months, but jeans the rest of the time 💗
Me too!! :) Too tiresome to keep up with trends that fade haha :) I think a simple, timeless look always makes you look put together. Hope you're having a nice weekend!
I'm like you, I keep the clothes I enjoy wearing and feel good on my skin! The green sweater you are iffy about is a beautiful colour and should look great on you! Thanks for the tour!
Hey Vera, I loved this video, thank you for sharing your wardrobe with us! 💚 I loved the floral blouse and the white feminine lace top in your closet. Even if it's a little bit trendy, romantic light coloured blouses come into fashion every spring, so I think it can be considered timeless. I loved your cute oat coloured knit top as well. And those blush bags are to die for 😍 It's hard to say only by seeing you on screen, but I think that you're a Light summer in the Seasonal colour analysis world, and that's why you get a lot of compliments when you wear those pinks and blues. I also think those shades look stunning and really harmonious on you. You can absolutely wear all the colours that you enjoy, I just think it's good to know these informations even if we don't follow it 🌸 How about secondhand fancy wintercoats? They are usually easy to find, I thrifted mines and I get a lot of compliments on them.
Ah that's so cool, thanks for sharing the info about the seasonal colour analysis. I did some googling and I totally recognize myself in that. It'll make it so much easier to find new pieces that work on me :) Thanks!!
@@SimpleHappyZen I'm so happy that you find it helpful 💚 You can wear whatever colour you want of course but these colours will naturally harmonize with you, while with other colours you may need more make up to look good (for example a black top can look edgy with black eyeliner). And if the colour isn't close to your face it really don't matter as much. I like to nerd out on style that's why I know this but if it's not your interest this is the long story short version :D Have a great day 🌸
Hi Vera, great video! I have a pale skin tone and I always find richer colours tend to compliment me better than pastels, I think the red would look great on you and the jumper that is like a rust colour. 😁
Yes exactly, that's my experience too! :) People keep telling me to match my pale skin tone with pastels, but I find they tend to wash me out completely. Richer colors are also just more fun haha. Thanks Adele!
In the last year I’ve really tried to only buy clothes that fit well and get rid of ones that don’t. I feel you about purchasing skirts. We have a similar body type and it can be challenging to find what flatters!
Hi from Ca! I’m fairly new to your calming channel and adoring the vibe. As a cozy Virgo, I strongly appreciate your closet selections. Your style is beautifully balanced and comfy. All of the pieces are no fuss and look made for your body. You asked if the green top works…I feel it’s not the right shade. I’m a Summer and you appear to be one too. That shade I’ve tried numerous times and it just never seems right. I say pass. Your green jacket however has a pleasant tone that totally works for you! With that said, your green jacket is one of my favs (especially for versatility), but it also ties with every single flutter sleeve top, with the flowered one being first ;)
Thank you so much for your knd words!!! And welcome to the channel :) I appreciate your thoughts on colors! Someone mentioned in the comments that I'm probably a 'light summer' type in the seasonal color analysis, and after googling it, I think she was definitely right. The colors for light summer seem to be a little different than for 'regular' summer. So I'll use that going forward :)
Thanks for giving me a look inside your wardrobe! Tip: ArmedAngels has really lovely sustainable clothes. They do offer non-vegan fabrics like wool, but they also sell vegan clothing!
My wardrobe used to be cluttered. Yet in the last five years I have declutter many of my clothes. There are still some little things that I am a little skeptical on donating or not. I try to be very careful and mindful on my shopping. Little by little I have created the habit of NOT buying things that I don’t really need. I have to say that your videos have helped me a lot on this subject.
Thanks for this video, I was one of the people requesting it. I really enjoyed seeing more dark blue or navy instead of just black and seeing some colour in there. It's a refreshing take on the usual minimalism wardrobes I see around. I particularly loved your brown sweater and your dark blue top with the details at the shoulders. I think dark blue is one of the most flattering colours a pale person with blue eyes can wear, it looks amazing on you. 💙 Do you ever wear the long sweater with leggings? It would look so nice and cozy with navy leggings and your navy boots. 🤩 I own a few more items than you do, but I'm very happy with the size of my wardrobe and I think I have what I need. And it comfortably fits in half of the wardrobe and half of the dresser, which was my goal all along.
Thank you so much Alexandra for your kind words! So happy you enjoyed the video :) I actually never wear the long sweater with leggings... Don't really know why, because that looks so comfortable hahaha. Something to think about. Have a great rest of your weekend!
I don’t have but one dress and 2 or 3 black skirts since I don’t go to church anymore. But I make due with them. Some day I might get a couple of dresses to keep on had. I don’t really have alot of clothes because my weight fluctuates. I’m happy with my wardrobe.
I think my biggest problem is that I'm not particularly attached to clothing, but if I truly only kept what I loved or what I was attached to, I would have a pretty useless closet for my lifestyle. I'm forced to keep half of my closet for practicality reasons. Like you, I have clothes that are a decade old that I wear regularly, and if I wanted to, could keep wearing for another handful of years. Another problem I have is getting rid of older clothing that is showing its age (stretched/wrinkled/discolored collars, very faded, etc) but is still wearable because other people are unlikely to notice the wear and tear that I notice.
I can relate :) With the older pieces that are showing their age, perhaps just keep it simple and ask yourself if you still enjoy wearing them. If the answer is no, and you also don't need them because you have enough other options, then it could be time to let them go :)
I am by no means an expert, but if you really want to find yourself a skirt that looks good on you, I would suggest looking into A-line skirts. Specifically one with a high waist since you like that in your jeans, I would guess you like that in skirts too. It will give you a waist, but then flare out around your hips and bottom and "hide" those in a flowy way. I personally really like A-line skirts because they don't restrict as much as for example a pencil-skirt would (even though, I really like those too!).
Ah great suggestion, thanks Daniela!! I've tried on a few a-line skirts, but I don't think they were the right ones because the waist was pretty low. So I felt like they made me 'even' bigger on the bottom half. But if the waist is higher, then they'll put more emphasis on my waist, and I think that would work way better. Thanks!
we have the same number of pants😊 I also like plain and simple wardrobe like yours. I have learned from you to declutter first before buying a new one.
About the winter coat: maybe you can find online people who do handmade coats like kinit/tricot/crochet things like that. A beautiful, charm, unique and great option it's a handmade poncho.
TY Vera for sharing your wardrobe with us. I find your wardrobe so easy to mix & match pieces and that's what I'm working on! I can definately get distracted by buying too many patterns and that makes it difficult to match and make different combos which makes you buy more items. I am doing much better but you gave me some good ideas! My favorite item is your brown cable knit sweater and the pink fits your complexion perfectly I think. I do think the green/aqua color is fine on you but I like some of the others better on you. 🏵
Thank you so much Joan!! Yes, one of the things I like about my wardrobe is that everything mixes and matches really easily. But I also really like patterns, I think they could be nice for keeping things more interesting in the long run haha :)
Thank you for sharing Vera I love your style especially tge boxy tops they are gorgeous and smart casual but also dressy I love your purse and backpack I think they should suite most of your clothes because they are not bright they are pastle you did an awsome job modelling the clothes you look gorgeous in every one of them I don't have anything dressy because I don't miss dressy I love my wardrobe and I have just enough 💜
I have more than enough clothes, I pretty much wear them all through the seasons and feel like I could still use more. More dresses for the summer, more sweaters for the winter. I go through my clothes every six months and purge what I don’t wear, like or worn out.
Thank you so much Tania!! I'm a sweater person too haha. I actually talked about it in the video, but I cut that part out since it was getting too long. But yes, I don't really enjoy shopping that much for clothing, except for sweaters. So I'm always trying to make sure I don't go overboard with them hahaha
This really put into perspective how excessive my current wardrobe is 😬 Thank you so much for your videos - they are so helpful as a recovering shopping addict. I would recommend Everlane if you are looking for a more formal coat! Just bought The Cotton Modern Trench Coat myself for this past season and highly recommend. It is sustainable and I'm 90% sure vegan as well, plus very easy to dress up or down (also on sale at the moment!). Also I love the turquoise color on you that you are unsure about, it looks really stunning with your skin tone and eyes! In general all of your pieces are timeless and such good colors on you... I'm guessing light summer seasonal palette? :)
I can relate to the all soft pink purses and bags looool. Been there. It's just a cute color, pretty neutral yet edgy and really goes with everything. Is soft pink the new beige? Maybe.
YES to the minty spring green top! It does look nice on you. Your hair compliments it very nicely. Or does it compliment your hair 🤔 either way it's a keeper 😊
Hi Vera long time no speak. I need to look at my wardrobe big time. I've just done a massive declutter of clothes. My boot of my car is rammed with bags most of it is good enough to sell so I'm donating as I cant be bothered to sell stuff that would bring in less than £10. Its not worth the hassle. Length of time I would have to store it for whiles its up for sale but most importantly it just stresses me out. Its going today! Thankyou for this inspiration to let it go! Xxx
Hi, Vera! I like the new “kicks” (slang for sneakers). I know I have more shoes than I need, but I don’t have many. I’m going declutter summer shoes because I wore only two pair the entire summer, a pair of brown flip flops and a pair of black flats. I do have rain boots too. But I have others shoes that didn’t see the light of day and haven’t for a long time. As for clothes, I just purchased a new wardrobe at the beginning of the pandemic and didn’t get to wear much of it. I need to see how my new job, in my new location will influence what I wear before decluttering again. I am really happy about decluttering jewelry. I only wear a few gold pieces that look good on against my skin. I’m selling off the sterling silver and a any costume jewelry. I just don’t wear it. FYI, many ethnic women in the U.S. would kill for a bodily shape like yours.😉
Hi Teresa!!! :) Thanks so much!!! Love my new kicks too haha :) Also, so happy that decluttering your jewelry worked out for you like that. And I think it's a great idea to wait a while with decluttering our clothing items, if we have a big lifestyle change like that. You never know what you end up wanting/needing in the new situation. Also, thank you for the compliment about my body type hihi. (blush). I've come a long way in the body confidence department over the last couple of years, and can honestly say I feel great in my body. Also just by placing the focus not just on our looks, but mostly on what our body does for us. It fills me with so much gratitude :) How can you not love a body that's working for us to stay healthy and allows us to do what we want to do in our life! :) Anyway, have a great rest of your weekend!!!
I have started to curate my wardrobe this year after beeing ill for several years and loosing lots of weight. I despratly needed a new wardrob as my old cloths were way too big. I found lots of old pieces in the addic and bought some new pieces to fill the blanks. I love it and havn’t felt as good in many years. I do keep one smaller box for each season stored away. And have plenty more pieces then you. But for each season it looks about like your wardrobe. I like the green sweater on you. Your pale colour looks nice with the light green. And last but sureley not least. Do buy a nice winter coat. I am also on the look for a winter coat. I hope you show when you find places to buy. I think that is the hardest! To find good stores!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts Eva! I'm sorry to hear about your health problems in the past, but happy to hear you're feeling good now! Someone recommended checking out sustainable and vegan winter coats from Noize, and so far I like what I see! So perhaps that could also work out for you. :)
Hi everyone! What was your favorite item from the video?🤗👇
I love your black blue blouse and trousers. I have a similar pair of trousers, it is as comfortable as jeans, but has a stylish spark too.
Your green jacket!!!!!
Lots of contenders but I vote the white blouse with the floral print or the lace looking one
I also loved the shoes! 😍
You look lovely in the green sweater and the red, all of them! 🇨🇦
You are so thoughtful and intentional. The world could use more like you.
You've made so much progress, that's awesome!! Good luck with the rest of your decluttering goals 🤗🌼🌺
That's so awesome!! Wow, that sweater must be super high quality!!
Blue is a beautiful color on you. It really enhances your fair skin and brings out your blue eyes!
Aw thakn you!! :) I had an idea to look for more blue from now on. :) Have an awesome weekend!
All your clothes are so beautiful, cozy, and versatile for styling. I enjoyed watching, very inspiring. 👍😍
Yay, thank you so much!! :) So happy to hear you enjoyed the video
This is the first video of yours that I watched, but I just wanted to say how much I admire your style. It’s very classy, trendy, and fresh.
Thanks for the tip Linda! I'm going to try and find something like that :)
I love the pink sweater💗 & the white lace "trendy" blouse!!!🤍
Yes, you look pretty in the light green top!🥰
Helps we have similar taste! ;)
Ah that's so sweet of you to say, thank you so much Liesl!!! 🤗💕✨ Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
I agree. I’m 62 and it’s so hard to find clothes that fit and match my age. It’s either young or real old with no in between.
Oh you're so right about the burden our clothes can be!! I couldn't agree more :D
I feel that way , too !
Yay, happy you enjoyed the video! It's totally doable :) Good luck!
Everything goes together now 🙂
Sounds great!! :) I share that experience haha, much easier to get dressed with less going on
My favourite is the “love all beings” t shirt, wish I could find one like that.
Thank you so much Shannon, and welcome to the channel!!! That's awesome! :)
I enjoy all the items! However, I love the shoes! I’m all about recycling!
Thanks so much Jenn, me too! Really happy with the shoes 😊😍
Thank you so much!
the mint green color looks great with your complexion. My fav is the floral blouse
Thank you so much Ann!! :) Love that one too :) Have an awesome rest of your weekend!
I love the floral one too
Your videos inspire me and calm me when I'm feeling overwhelmed by my belongings. My journey to minimalism is a tough, slow one but I'm persistent. 😃
Thanks Karisa, you can do it! :)
I think you can feel good about the green top. It's a great tone and blends well with your skin. This was an interesting demo of your wardrobe, and alerted me to a new shoe brand. Thank you.
Thank you so much, happy to hear it!!! :) Have a great rest of your weekend
I have created a uniform for myself to make getting dressed easier. Black pants, a solid top and a black or gray cardigan. It’s simple and comfortable for all the tasks I do as a stay at home mom.
Thank you for sharing your wardrobe with us. It's highly important to use what you have until it's worn out.
Love the black long sleeve top on you with the jeans like that. You look good in navy. The oatmeal turtleneck sweater/sweatshirt seems like such cozy happy vibes. I also love the oatmeal sweater material tank top, the floral blouse, and the doc maartens
Aw thank you Abigail!! Some of my favorites too 😄
I really enjoyed that video! You look beautiful in all your clothing :-)
I love that despite the fact that you have a minimalist wardrobe your tops are all very unique and different!
Aw thank you so much Amber!! Yes, no need to have a boring or limiting wardrobe if you want to go minimalist :) Hahaha
Like you Vera, I go for comfort and don't currently own formal clothes as lead a casual lifestyle. I love all your clothes and especially your shoes which look so comfortable. I'm happy with my wardrobe as have condensed it to a manageable amount and make sure I wear everything.
Thank you so much!!! And happy to hear you're also happy with your wardrobe :)
Happy you enjoyed the video Dawn! Your wardrobe sounds very fun and colorful :)
Hi Vera! Your sweaters are beautiful! The color of green sweater looks pretty on you! Keep it!!❤️🤗
Thank you so much Lucy!! :) Have a wonderful weekend
Hi Vera! I really liked the green top on you. And, I am a sucker for a white T-shirt, Jeans, and red shoes. It’s just a classic look to me, so that was my favorite! Have a great weekend! ❤️
Aw thanks!! Happy you enjoyed the video! :) Have a great weekend
Very happy
4 shortsleeve black t-shirts+ 2 colourfull,
3 long-sleeved t-shirts +2 coloured,
4 jeans
4 summer cotton/ linnen trousers
2 stretch jackets (to dress up)
1 black dress
and sorry 4 very old outdoor woolen sweaters in very different thickness that also are my winter coat
1 pair of shoes
1 pair of sandals
1 pair of heals
Underwear for a week, yoga pants, socks😀
Most stay many years, if something is done I replace it, no sooner.🤗 So easy😅
Sounds very minimal, functional and fun!! 😄👚
@@SimpleHappyZen I still think I have more than plenty😂😅 have good week!!
I love a good cardigan. I have a few, myself. Also, machine washable shoes?! That is so cool!
Yay for cardigans!! :) And yes, I know!! So cool!!
PS: I have a black one, and a cream one. I wear the black one the most.
I totally agree! Comfort is everything :) Also, I see what you mean about switching out black for navy or charcoal
Hi Vera I love you whole wardrobe. Love pink but I also think you look beautiful in the green.❤
Yay, thank you so much Cathy! Have a great rest of your weekend! 🤗🌱
Yes the mint green sweater looks great with your coloring.☺️
Thank you so much Jeni!! :) Have a great rest of your weekend
Faith and Flour washes her shoes like that pretty cool.
Thanks so much Susan! Yes, I'm really happy with those flats 🥰❤
Yes, I find it can definitely be frustrating at times :) Yay for taking care of what we already own! :)
I love the softer shades on you such as the pinks, mint and oatmeal.
Thanks, Vera, for your encouraging content. 😊♥️
@@heatherframpton9693 Thank you for being a part of this community and for all the good vibes!!! 🤗❤️🌱
Thank you for sharing your wardrobe with us. I only have essentials that is enough for a week. I worked out my lifestyle and how many times I do washing. I have dresses for hot months, but jeans the rest of the time 💗
Sounds very simple and practical! :)
The green top looks good on you. It would really pop if you pair it with the dark blue dress slacks that are in your wardrobe.
Oh that's a good idea!! I'll try that out :)
I love a simple, timeless look. 💖
Me too!! :) Too tiresome to keep up with trends that fade haha :) I think a simple, timeless look always makes you look put together. Hope you're having a nice weekend!
I love love you're wardrobe. All the pieces are beautiful on you
Aw thank you so much!! :)
I'm like you, I keep the clothes I enjoy wearing and feel good on my skin! The green sweater you are iffy about is a beautiful colour and should look great on you! Thanks for the tour!
Aw thank you so much!! 🤗🌱🌷
Watching your videos makes me want to water my plants and make a green tea matcha latte green 🍵🌿
That makes me so happy 🥰💕🥰💕
Hey Vera,
I loved this video, thank you for sharing your wardrobe with us! 💚
I loved the floral blouse and the white feminine lace top in your closet. Even if it's a little bit trendy, romantic light coloured blouses come into fashion every spring, so I think it can be considered timeless. I loved your cute oat coloured knit top as well. And those blush bags are to die for 😍
It's hard to say only by seeing you on screen, but I think that you're a Light summer in the Seasonal colour analysis world, and that's why you get a lot of compliments when you wear those pinks and blues. I also think those shades look stunning and really harmonious on you. You can absolutely wear all the colours that you enjoy, I just think it's good to know these informations even if we don't follow it 🌸
How about secondhand fancy wintercoats? They are usually easy to find, I thrifted mines and I get a lot of compliments on them.
Ah that's so cool, thanks for sharing the info about the seasonal colour analysis. I did some googling and I totally recognize myself in that. It'll make it so much easier to find new pieces that work on me :) Thanks!!
@@SimpleHappyZen I'm so happy that you find it helpful 💚
You can wear whatever colour you want of course but these colours will naturally harmonize with you, while with other colours you may need more make up to look good (for example a black top can look edgy with black eyeliner). And if the colour isn't close to your face it really don't matter as much.
I like to nerd out on style that's why I know this but if it's not your interest this is the long story short version :D
Have a great day 🌸
Hi Vera, great video!
Do make a video on how do you fit all essential things in backpack.
Hi Ruthie. I’m a Ruthie and a Virgo too 😀
@@ruthiemill Hey, I like your vibe 😉. Nice to meet you!
Thanks for giving me a look inside your wardrobe!
Tip: ArmedAngels has really lovely sustainable clothes. They do offer non-vegan fabrics like wool, but they also sell vegan clothing!
Thanks Kirsten!! Oh that's right :) I used to have a dress from them. I'll check them out to see if they have a vegan coat :)
So happy to hear that, that's awesome!!! :)
I liked the mint green shirt on you, you have such beautiful fair colouring that those colours are just perfect on you! 💚
Aw thank you so much Carla!!! :) Have a great rest of your weekend!
Your hair looks gorgeous in that braid! And great video, as always 😇
Do you ever wear the long sweater with leggings? It would look so nice and cozy with navy leggings and your navy boots. 🤩
I own a few more items than you do, but I'm very happy with the size of my wardrobe and I think I have what I need.
The sneakers are gorgeous, they suit you so well!
Aw thanks Lea!! :) I love them too!
Love the green on you! You can wear it with confidence
I have too many clothes. I can definitely down size my wardrobe
You look beautiful in all of your clothes! Great job Vera. Hugs from Canada.
Aw thank you so much Sarada 🤗✨ Hugs back, have a great weekend!
You have a warm tone perhaps
So warm colours look good on you
But cool colours feel loud by themselves.
But it's your choice
Wear anything you like
All of the bags are pink, lovely ❤️
I don’t have but one dress and 2 or 3 black skirts since I don’t go to church anymore. But I make due with them. Some day I might get a couple of dresses to keep on had. I don’t really have alot of clothes because my weight fluctuates. I’m happy with my wardrobe.
Happy to hear you're happy with your wardrobe, I would say that's all that matters right? :) Have a great rest of your day
I think my biggest problem is that I'm not particularly attached to clothing, but if I truly only kept what I loved or what I was attached to, I would have a pretty useless closet for my lifestyle.
I love that!!! 🤗
About the winter coat: maybe you can find online people who do handmade coats like kinit/tricot/crochet things like that. A beautiful, charm, unique and great option it's a handmade poncho.
Oh that's a good idea!! :) Thanks Bruna
Hi Vera! All clothes are good on you, but i like the grey cardigan the most ♥️
Definitely also one of my favorites! :) Thanks so much, have a great weekend!
Aw thank you so much for your kind words Deborah!! So happy you enjoyed the video :) Also happy to hear you love your wardrobe!!
I have more than enough clothes, I pretty much wear them all through the seasons and feel like I could still use more. More dresses for the summer, more sweaters for the winter. I go through my clothes every six months and purge what I don’t wear, like or worn out.
I love the oatmeal knitted summer top. Looks great on you
Thanks Myriam!!! It's one of my faves, so comfy :)
Your sweaters look amazingly cozy! I’m a sweater person, so I may have too many… thanks for sharing your wardrobe
Thank you so much Erika, glad you enjoyed the video! 🤗🐝❤️ Also yes, I'm a light summer 😄
Aw thanks!! I wear it a lot now :)
This honestly makes me want to throw out everything I own and start from scratch... Lovely video! Groetjes!
Hahahaha happy you enjoyed the vid!! :) Groetjes terug
love all your wardrove! All looks good to you!
Thank you so much! 🤗🌷
Xxx
Awesome!! I'm sure they'll make many others happy :) Congrats!!
@@SimpleHappyZen Thank You so much for answer! I will check that out! 👍❤️
