  • TODDLERS ARE WEARING LACE WIGS, FAKE LASHES AND RELAXERS?! PARENTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL
Fake Lashes, Wigs & Relaxers at 2 Years Old! Parents More Worried About Aesthetics Than Their Child’s Well-Being?
Parents are out here making their baby girls grow up way too fast, and social media is playing a HUGE role in it. From lace front wigs and relaxers at 2 years old to fake lashes and treating kids like real-life dolls, it’s getting out of hand!
I’m not telling anyone how to raise their kids, but we need to have this conversation-because at what point does it stop being “cute” and start being too much?
Are we letting kids be kids, or are we pushing them into grown-woman beauty standards before they even know how to spell “beauty”?!

I'm 54, and I am just now recovering to the life-long damage my mother did to my hair follicles from putting lye in my hair at the age of 7 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday. Yes, it is a form of abuse. I strongly agree.

Imagine if they put that kind of energy towards the children's education and uplifting them with pride. What this tells them is "I am not good enough". Nothing wrong when you're an adult. That's different, you've had time to learn, mature and grow into yourself This is child abuse.

Putting Lace fronts on kids and perming b4 they are 10 to 12 years old is child abuse. The perm destroys the texture and thins the hair over time. The glue from the lace fronts has to be removing the hair when it's coming up, not to mention the weight of the hair on the childs neck. The psychological impact can take a turn for the worst bcuz Natural beauty was thrown out the window from the get-go, so some not all will seek a beauty outside of themselves that can never be ascertained.

I don’t have ethnic hair, but I remember my mom being so rough with my hair that I would be screaming bloody murder. Every morning, it would be a fight to the death to do my hair. Besides all the trauma. I'm speechless and ashamed for humanity this is child abuse.

Yeah I know it’s a big difference between the two but nonetheless the chemicals that’s in the glue may be toxic for younger children and y’all would know that if y’all read the labels…. Let these babies be natural PERIOD

Some of these women don't care - mostly the stylists - because they're getting promotion and/or payment out of it.
Some of the mothers' insecurities stronger than steel and it's such a shame.

Not only that but ruin our hair even more in the process with texturism running rampant. My people are beyond brainwashed. It’s embarrassing, self destructive and extremely disappointing.

You want to wonder why these girls are getting pregnant younger and younger, well, stop sexualizing them when they are babies. This is disgusting. Letb thrm be children. Let them make a mess, play outside, be kids. Putting makeup and revealing clothes as children should be a crime. These parents need to be charged with child endangerment.
