My suggestion about the Anker Sweater is to knit it longer, much longer like tunic dress and wear it with leggings 🙂

As hard as it will be, I think you have to frog it to the next to the last row of the ribbing on the yoke. Such beautiful yarn needs to be in a garment you love

Even if you make it longer the puckering under the joke will stay! Frogging is the solution 😅

I would love to visit their property to see their beautiful sheep. You are so blessed to have received this gift.

Jana, you seem to me to be such a resourceful and tenacious seeker of joy in life and find it in so many places - your family, your garden and flowers, your colours, your fun notions and knits and in so many other places. Even when things look dark and a struggle, you find some light. It’s truly inspiring. Wishing you luck and success in your quest for therapy. Much love from Yorkshire, Cheryl xxx

I’m sorry your week was so hard. We all have those and I’m glad you talk with us about it. I’m glad we have our knitting to help us through those days or weeks. ❤I’m glad you find blessings in small things, we have to. I love you Frannie stitch holders!! You got some wonderful gifts. I always look forward to your podcasts. I love seeing what you're knitting. You always have such a positive attitude and a smile. I think what I most like about you is that you are clearly authentic and genuine. You are relatable when you talk about what brings you joy and also when you share what frustrates you. There are so many podcasts to choose from; you're is one of my favorites.

I feel it's worth re-knitting. The color is beautiful, and the pattern is very nice. It's knitting, that's why we knit. We can make garments fit as we want. But then I'm a knitter who loves the process, so I have no problem frogging back.

Thanks for another lovely episode. Love your podcast! Best greetings from Germany.

Much love to you and your family Jana! I never tire of your ramblings and makings and your sweet energy. 🥰 I just finished my 3rd 1/2 & 1/2 in linen quill . . . . and this one was bright orange and hot pink. I knit the first one for myself and then I knit the next two for 2 girlfriends turning 70. We've known each other since we were 7 . . . . so they are very knit worthy. But gads I'm glad to be done with the last one. Feels like I finished a marathon. Big hugs to you ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

About your Anker Sweater.. don't judge it until its blocked! Unspun yarn is tricky, before blocking it stays up like its made of stiff paper but after blocking it becomes softer and it drapes beautifully!

Hang in there. I had to fight for my son all the way for support and therapy. So frustrating and tiring but its made a world of difference for him in the long run. He is doing so much better now and I feel that all the hard-work paid off. I does wear you out and I hope you can get the support your baby needs asap. The pressed flowers is looking amazing and wow a cardigan would be so nice . I already have project bag from Danille. She so clever, mine has jellyfish all over. Matches where I live.. we have blubottle fish (jelly fish with painful stingers) all around the mid north coast of NSW , Australia. We are coming into spring. Enjoy the beginning of Autumn and the lovely knitting.

i would sever the sleeves below the armpit. (snip a stitch and unravel a rnd to disconect it from body)Unravel (keep track of number of rounds taken back )to last round of ribbing. Continue in the ribbing pattern. When you get the armpit(sleeve divide) put the sleeve sts on holder and continue the body in the ribbing pattern. Keep the body in ribbing pattern until the final length you desire. Now go back and knit sleeves the number of rows you took out on the sleeve and graft the rest of the sleeve. Keeping the body n ribbing for the rest of the body should pull it in….oops just heard you don’t want to graft. I do it all the time. Maybe a new skill to learn😊

First: congratulations on exceeding 15 thousand subscribers! The top of the Anker sweater looks wonderful in the Nutiden. But I think you do have to frog back including one set of the ribbing. When you make it a few centimeters narrower on each side it will also allow it to be longer without needing more yarn. I hope it works out for you because the sweater will be amazing!

Feels so good to listen to someone be happy, frustrated, confused and not be alone in those feelings here. In the US people seem to want HAPPY, positive no matter what you feel and it gets me more down. After a really hot spell here it is cooler outside but the fatigue from the heat persists. Picked some grapes from my vine, regret not getting seedless variety but popped a couple in while listening to you and my tongue is puckered now. Put some chocolate mint to dry for winter tea. Have been knitting a lacy scarf from handspun alpaca and beginning to think will have to spin more for the length I want, so glad I am not alone in needing more yarn at times.

Jana, thank you for sharing the "oops!" and "yikes!" that can be a part of any WIP. ❤
I know that the final projects will be beautiful once you finish "waving" your magic needles at them and bringing them to perfection. It is good for us novice knitters to see that even an expert knitter can have things go sideways while working on a project. Your final output will encourage us to stick with it and try again and again, if needed, to get the desired result. 😉

For the Petite knit sweather, I wonder if you would consider to get additional yarn and make it a tunic or dress (keep knitting and making it longer)! I think it would be a lovely piece with some ease and length~

A big hug and a lazy weekend. What about a double seem for your lovely Xiao, so you could sew it down from the left side, or maybe just an I-cord bind off.

Perhaps add a wide ribbon facing to the inside of the bottom hem?

I also think you should try & continue knitting it as a long sweater to wear with leggings & high boots. On the Xian Mal sweater why not turn the bottom hem under & tack it down, I’ll bet that’ll help.

As far as the bind off is concerned, i would try a few rows of moss stitch and bind off in pattern. The sleeve is circular so 8t works on that xxx

Hello. I recommend to try a tight single crochet line for bottom of ıour xiao mai. I use usually use this thecnic for fluffing ends and it works.

LOVE! The colorful 90s fiber; it looks like it came straight from Lisa Frank world. I love it! Can’t wait to check out A Knitter’s Suitcase as well. Thanks for sharing your craft and what you are doing, it has become my weekly Sunday morning routine.

I'm so outraged about Sophia's therapy and what's happening in your local schools! Thank God we have knitting to calm us down during the rough times in life. I'm praying and sending lots of good energy for Sophia your way…
Also, I've been super scared about casting on my first sweater, but your Lento looks so cozy-and knitting it on big needles sounds great to me! Might try a DK version after I finish my current WIP.
