I am so grateful I found this interview because my husband and I just received our mission call to Pakistan!! We will be serving a humanitarian mission there for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and we are so happy to hear from these sweet young members of the Church there and to hear their strong testimonies of Jesus Christ. We will arrive in Islamabad in February!
@@lauriehoer8605 thank you very much it would be awesome to see you as a person here and sure thing we will come to welcome you there once you arrive in Feb. stay Strong and blessed 🙏❤️.
We know the humanitarian missionaries serving there right now. They report being treated very well. You will do a little of everything: MLS, local assignment, hum projects, etc.
WOW! I have been a member of the Church for over 70 years in America, and I found this accidentally. I was touched so much it brought tears to my eyes. I had no idea we had a full-time mission in Pakistan, or so many members, or FSY and YSA programs with so many participants. As I see these young people I realize that I will pass on someday, and the Church will be in their hands, and they will carry it forward long, long after I am gone. How wonderful these three are. Nosheen was refined, poised, articulate, and obviously radiates the Spirit. The young men are also clear-eyed, focused, and shared such a powerful testimonies. Their smiles were captivating and inspiring. The Church is in good hands if these are the types of members there are in Pakistan. What a powerful group of young people, obviously imbued with testimonies of the Book of Mormon and the Restoration. As Nosheen told the story of that struggling family my heart went out to them, and I pray for them that they might all be blessed. When we see families like this, and hear stories like this, it is such a blessing to us in America. Thank you, thank you for sharing this video with us. And may God bless Nosheen, Arvee, and Ham, and all the rest of the members in Pakistan! May God bless you all!
Hurrah for Israel!!!! This makes me so happy!!! What beautiful souls! Prayers from South Carolina for continued health, courage, fortitude and protection over the members in Pakistan!
My name is Lester Wood. In 1962 my parents and my two younger sisters lived in Pakistan. We along with two other families , the Whillhoytes and the Baughmans were members that came together to have Sunday school lessons. In 1963 the area president from Hong Kong came to visit and authorize us to have Sacrament meetings. We then met together in the school library. The area representative was Gordon B. Hinkley. There was a Pakistani man who met with us. He bore his testimony that he knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet but he could not become a member because he and family could be put to death. My heart went out to this man and his family. We left Pakistan in. 1964.
I have often born testimony that I wish every 1st world member of the church could attend a meeting (or meetings) on foreign or 3rd world countries. One simply does not recognize in his/her spirit what the "world-wide" church really is until you do this. I have attended church on four continents and it has enriched by life every time. One time I was. in São Paulo, Brazil on business and attended church with a local family (Brazilian) with whom I was, totally by coincidence, doing business. The closing song was "Hark, all ye nations" sung in Portuguese, naturally. A former Spanish speaking missionary had been translating for me all day. I served my mission in Germany where the song was written (the only foreign language hymn of Zion in the current hymnal). So I sang it in German; my friend sang it in Spanish; the congregation sang in Portuguese and visitors sitting in front of me sang in English. I teared up substantially because I recognized the "world-wide" dimension of the restoration in a visceral way I had never experienced. Go to church "over there" wherever over there is for you. The international Saints are truly amazing (to use a much over-used descriptor).
I love our brothers and sisters that have been chosen by God to bring the gospel in challenging areas of the world. We are with you in spirit and prayers.
So happy for them, for their courage, and faith. So happy that they are receiving the gift of a life close to the Holy Spirit of God. I pray that all of their burdens may be light through miracles as well as through the joy and hope of Jesus Christ.
I am deeply grateful to all of you, especially Brother Ben, for giving us the opportunity to share our testimony of how our culture and the growth of the church are happening in a Muslim country with you through live streaming, and I am grateful to you for your beautiful remarks.
I remember in 2012 meeting a temple square sister missionary from Pakistan and being shocked to learn that there were members there. These members inspire me.
Oh my! This was so interesting and beautiful. Nosheem, Han , and Arvee: you are just so blessed! Your testimonies shine through you. One can see it through your eyes! Thanks for posting this video!
I know that whereever we may be God is thesame. I am grateful for the strong testimony of the member of the church. God bless each of you brothers and sisters in all parts of the world.
So excited that my brother shared this with me. At this moment I’m sitting in the Dubai airport on my way to Karachi to start my mission in Pakistan. Thank you for this wonderful interview!
This is so awesome!!! I'm in Idaho USA and just subscribed!!! I love sharing about the gathering of Israel on my channel and with all the 30 plus countries of people I have come across at work!!!
I attended a devotional meeting with one of the 70's who was over Pakustan. He basically was considered the stake president. He talked about having 300 members who went on a temple trip to Hong Kong. Considered a once in a lifetime. Now that the India temple is built, it will be a blessing to them.
The people of Pakistan are among the kindest and most gracious individuals, and it is truly inspiring to see their growth in the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their progress is a beautiful testament to the fulfillment of the Lord’s work in these latter days.❤
There are very good and very valiant sons and daughters of God ALL OVER THIS PLANET, and I strongly believe that God has been sending His most valiant children to this earth ALL THROUGHOUT its history. Thank you for sharing this video with us! I am humbled by these 3 faithful members of the Church.
I served in the Singapore Mission when Pakistan was still part of that mission. I had a companion from Pakistan while I was serving there, he was an incredible and humble man.

My parents, David and Pat Tanner, served a mission in Lahore Pakistan 27 years ago. One of the converts at this time was Patrus Bukari and his family. What a great family. He was able to translate the Book of Mormon into the Urdo language. What amazing miracles have occurred in the past 27 years in Pakistan. I am blown away. Thank you saints of Pakistan. I am glad I stumbled onto this video.
Hey, yeah, I know them! I first saw them when I was about eight years old, and I remember when I saw them for the first time in my life I started crying. It was such a unique experience because I had never met foreigners before. They are incredibly lovely, supportive, and kind people. They always offer food, juices, and cake to anyone who visits them which i noticed 27 years back.
That is so awesome! And I hope it's ok if I mention, for those unaware of the typo, that it's spelled Urdu. It's so wonderful to hear who in Pakistan translated the Book of Mormon into Urdu and how your parents served in Pakastan! 🙏
My prayers are for peace in the whole world between all humans, as we all are equal in the Holy sight of God. *Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace* who invites us to become peace makers.
Lester Wood here ! I didn’t explain why we were there. The American government was building a dam on the Jelum river at Mangla. The construction company had built a city for the construction workers to stay in. Very updated with all the amenities that we had in the USA . What an amazing experience it was to be there and to get to know the Pakistani people. I was 16 and had just received my patriarchal blessing just before going there. My patriarchal blessing said I would be a missionary to the people there while living there. We were not allowed to proselytize but I hope I was a good example to those that I came contact with. I’m so happy that the church is growing there. There are wonderful people anxious to hear the truth. May the Lord continue to soften the hearts of the leaders in the government and allow the gospel to grow.
President Nelson came to Pakistan first in somewhere around 1990. He actually visited my granddad's home. My dad was the second missionary from Pakistan to Serve in England Manchester mission 1992 to 1994

I love this interview! We have people in our ward (in Alberta, Canada) from Pakistani. They are excellent people. These young men and this young woman’s testimonies are very inspiring! The young man (Avee?) is the same way I feel when I hear the story of Abinidai. I lived in Lahore from 1964-1969. There was a small branch of Americans until the 1965 Pak-India war. After the war there was our family, Jones, and one other family, Borjas. Then Borjas left and only our family were members in all of Pakistan. We had church at our house, my father was a foreign service officer for the US, and always had the sacrament and a lesson from the Old Testament because some of our Muslim, Jewish and other Christian friends would attend and everyone believes the Old Testament. I was ordained a Deacon in Pakistan and we were part of the Hong Kong district. The Christians in Pakistan are so faithful. It is a very difficult thing to be a Christian in Pakistan. These members now are truly wonderful people. For me to believe that there are members and branches in Pakistan is like having prophecies of the Last Days fulfilled that the gospel will be taken to the whole world. The church will be successful in Pakistan. Maybe not "big" , but filled with great and good people. They have a culture of families, high morals and education. It is a real testimony to hear them speak about the church. I need to take a trip back to Pakistan which if you don't know translate to The Land of The Pure.
These brave members of the church in Pakistan are incredible. The Pakistani government, however, is very hostile to all other faiths, and are definitely anti American, as well. I pray for their protection. The danger is always there. I do believe Heavenly Father will protect them.
It’s interesting when he mentioned Muhammad that he followed it up with “peace be upon him” in Urdu. That’s very respectful but I wonder if it’s also a law in Pakistan.
....behold the glory of the 70 nations, which are now 209 nations, and the coming Constitutional Republics, and the coming of the Millennial Reign of the Son of Righteousness, I bear witness.........and his Millennial Reign of Glory.........were all the Sons and Daughters of Heaven will be blessed, and all the Sons and Daughters of Heaven......gh

Iwant to be their friends thank you for sharing this
Im friends with the family who was first to get baptized in Pakistan.
These brave members of the church in Pakistan are incredible. The Pakistani government, however, is very hostile to all other faiths, and are definitely anti American, as well. I pray for their protection. The danger is always there. I do believe Heavenly Father will protect them.
Dear thanks so much we need your prays .thanks for your love.
Love and prayers for all from the Philippines.
This was wonderful! Thank you!♥
It’s interesting when he mentioned Muhammad that he followed it up with “peace be upon him” in Urdu. That’s very respectful but I wonder if it’s also a law in Pakistan.
Wonderful

I really wish Ben would’ve allowed each person to introduce themselves and tell us about themselves at the beginning of the video…. 🤦🏻
However, this was an awesome video! How cool is it to hear hear from faithful youth in Pakistan!!! Wow!!!
Thanks for your feedback. We did try this but it took so long that I didn’t want to take away from the interview time, but I’m always learning and grateful for feedback 😃 so glad you enjoyed it
Definitely! Great job Ben. This was so unique! Keep it up!
I went to England Leeds mission and we didn’t wear nametacks for most of my mission. I never got one.
That was true for my husband who served in the Leeds Mission. 1980/1982
