This is a rare treat indeed!!! To be able to see the Bat Jam Do form as it was passed on from Ip Man to Ip Ching!!! VERY VERY RARE footage indeed. Thanks for posting

Something like "all men must be strong" or something like that....I've usually seen it under the title "Wong Fei Hung" or something like that

In the first section, the movement of the "Sheun Garp Do", the double pressing knife is supposed to be 45 degrees to the line of attack, not perpendicular to the spear like Sam was doing! How can you stop the piercing spear with no forward force component? Second section, the "Jum Do" move is supposed to be linear motion without turning of the wrist. The "Tor Do", dragging knife, the elbows are not supposed to bend.

This is the best knife form i have seen on you tube!! it does the Wing Chun of Ip Man/Ip Ching proud. The simple precision of the 八斬刀 (Bart Cham Dao) follows the simple precision of 詠春 (Wing Chun).
    GREAT CLIP THANKS!

"On the General's Orders" is how I was told it's translated. Think Jackie Chan sings it

The third section is generally ok but the stepping back stance should weight on the hind leg. As a "master" Samuel Kwok should have a concrete understanding of his craft but I don't see that. Like I say, when you guys are in HK, make sure to ask your si-gung! It is high time for "master" Kwok to learn some refinements so he can teach you guys right!

be honest to say, seriously he does the wrong action.
1.) sword by step movement he doesnt have, not even turning enough of his body.
2.) over action, all the movement is more than what it needs
3.) for wing chun, all tiny bit of difference is bad enough to get hit

@ozzie1246 I m saying he is wrong. some turns too much and some not enough. "Swords depends on footstep, Pole depends on hands". Well even Ip Man's sons are wrong, what do u expect? There are freedom to put thing on internet in these days even it is wrong. What can we say ? Good luck with meeting the true masters everybody, not just wing chun.
