The EA was updated in May 2024. I've added MACD as an entry indicator for confirmation and a Bullish Pin Bar as an exit indicator.

I ran the EA and back tested it, using a spread of 2 pips, $10,000 EUR H1 lot 0.5, July 16 to Aug 15, max DD 5.13%, profit 7.8%. So that should pass the 1st phase. On Monday I will put the EA on VPS and run it for 1 month and see.

I'm an algo trader and based on my experience and backtesting, this strategy does not work in the short or long term. I've built almost all EAs based on indicators and it fails.
When back testing with the robot it ended with continuous loss in June 2023. Let me know if any settings need to change

I do a backtest for this ea i found that it have only 32% winrate so it's not profitable for me ( 5 ans test )

Hi I have loaded the EA and back tested it. All works fine on the tests. I have changed some settings and on test it has been taking around 30 trades per month. I have it on my broker, but no trades for 2 days. All looks to be set up ok. Any ideas please. Thanks.
If the EA is attached correctly and you see the smiley face or blue hat in the top corner of your chart, trades should execute when market conditions trigger the strategy. I'd suggest running a backtest to see if using the current settings, trades should have opened. If yes, then the issue lies with the broker not executing the trades. Also, check the journal for any errors

Hi jeremymeldrum5318, there is no set file for this robot. You can use it as it is, and simply adjust the entry lot sizes according to the challenge you're going for. For a 10K challenge, start with 0.3 lots, 100K = 3lots, 200k challenge = 6 lots. Then scale up as needed.

Can I use it for ordinary trade without prop firm and does it work on any broker?
You can, and you can adjust the settings to suit your needs and goals. It will work with any regulated broker that allows algo trading, which is most of them
the trade at 12.09 has the wrong set up. the long trade should be after the price has exhausted, started to go long, and has a step in it, entering above the high of the B leg of the step just like the trade you show at the one minute mark in your video. the trade at 12.09 can keep going short. the point of this entry to confirm the reversal. if you set your robot up like this, the success rate will be very very high. you should also automate the news block and the friday close option. use extra confirmation from a higher time frame chart trend direction as well..stop loss goes under the low of the band break candle. tp is 2x distance between sl and entry

Since publishing this video, there have been many updates, including Randomization, which makes the trades unique. Yu are allowed to use EAs with FTMO, but not commercial or 3rd party EAs

Hi ioannismichailidis4110, this EA was developed to meet the needs of the challenges, however, you can continue to use it once funded. But always test on a demo account first to make sure it suits your trading style.

Some EAs do include news filters, linked to economic news sites, and pause trading before, during and after major news events. Others do not. Our Prop Firm Robots do include a news filter

Hi JohnPerkins42, this EA is specific to EURUSD, on the H1 timeframe. It has been designed and coded for that asset and time frame only.

H @andereastjoe, the robot will only trade during times when the market is open, however, it's best to pause trading before major news events that affect the market.

Hi Rosser-hs4pv, yes, it does. It has been created for prop firm challenges taking into account capital protection and drawdown protection, but it can be used on any MT4 or MT5 platform as a regular robot. You can also change the settings to suit your trading style, risk tolerance and goals.

I have a problem with this, I downloaded, compiled and configured in MT5, but when I attach the bot to the chart, it doesnt change, and no add the indicator for work correctly. :( What can i do for solve this problem?
This is not an indicator, it's an EA, so make sure you're adding it to the Experts folder, not the indicators folder. Also, make sure you enable algo trading before placing the EA onto your chart. If it is not in the Experts list in the Navigator window after you compile it, close and re-open your platform.

i agree with kobus. this strategy is normally traded as this: once the price hits the bollinger band and comes back inside you look for a small "step" in the price action and trade the "step break" of that step. that makes sure (in the case of price going short hitting the band and reversing) that the sellers have failed twice and price is really going long. your strategy is obviously prone to trends that just blast right thru the band. you also need a news filter and a time of day filter. this strategy is unlikely to go well for long. "everything should be as simple as possible but no simpler". to quote a very smart man.

hello the ftmo robot is intended for the passage of tests and the founded account and is there no risk that it will be detected by ftmo and have its account canceled since the use of bot is not authorized
Hi alaouimehdi3753, I have never had any issues, but if you are concerned, you can change some of the settings of the indicators very slightly, or change the TP and SL by a few points.

Hello Petko, I have downloaded the EA and pasted it into the MT4 in the Experts file. But I cannot then install the EA so that when I close and reopen MT4 it is dsiplayed in Navigator. Can you please suggest what I should do?

Hi @mackenshaw8169, next time, once you've pasted in into the folder, right click on Expert Advisors in the Navigator window, and click Refresh. It simply need to compile.

Hi @franciscorodrigues8822, the robot will open trades when market conditions are right. Try running a backtest to see how often it opened trades in the past.
How do we get the new version of this EA whenever you update it?
The FTMO Robot is available on our website, and depending on the license you select, you will have access to all updates in that time. Hi bnotion2274, The EA will open trades as long as auto trading is enabled, it was enabled before placing the EA onto the chart and market conditions are right, and your trading conditions, leverage, account balance, etc. are all correct. Make sure you place it on a demo account first

Hi sergio6532, in my Masterclass I show and teach you how to trade using both a manual strategy as well as using the EA. With the course, I constantly update the EA, so as soon as I find better settings, I create, test and then make the EA available.

Hi gaznorton3088, all of the indicator settings are built into the EA and run in the background, however, if you want to visually see the indicators on your chart, you can add them manually using the Indicator option in the Insert menu on MetaTrader, select the indicator and put in the settings, including values and colours.

The EA has no limitations. However, it is a personal choice how you will be using it.

Hi warrenschaaf4425, as long as you have followed all of the steps, and your account balance is sufficient and leverage set correctly, trades will open as soon as the rules of the strategy are met by market conditions.

Hi fxshy4049, the free EA is one I created some time ago using EA Studio . The FTMO EA is more advanced, created using FSB Pro. This is updated regularly for the latest market conditions, includes 7 robots for 7 currency pairs and is currently in it's 5th version.

Hey Sebastian-xx5fx, while the FTMO robot has been created specifically for prop firm challenges, and includes many protections, it can be used on a funded account. You can adjust the settings for your account type, size and trading objectives.
So I got the robot, and I have uploaded it my Experts folder, is this correct? do i need to do anything else? does it begin trading it self?
Hi omarmuzaffar774, if you are using MT4, once it's in the Experts folder, right click on the Experts in the Navigator and select Refresh. Open a chart for the asset. Then enable Auto Trading on the top, and place the EA onto your chart by dragging it in from the Expert Advisor list. You should get a smiley face in the top right hand corner of your chart signalling it's working.
I have downloaded but only h1 eur comes out. There is no ex4 bot file.
Hi Kathsierra, when you copy the file into the Experts folder and it complies. it will create the ex4 file.
Can it automatically place trades even when I'm not opening the mt4?
No, your PC/laptop must be on an connected to the interne 24/7, or you can use a VPS

The Trading Pit needs to have a demo account. You should be able to try the platform before buying a challenge.

Hi vrajpatel2916. No. You can close the trade whenever you want to. When market conditions are right to meet the rules of the strategy, the EA will open trades again

Hi mobsvlog9465, all of our FTMO / Prop Firm robots are suitable for any prop firm. You may just need to adjust a few settings to have it suitable for you. For example, the drawdown protection is set to under 5%, but if you're trading with a prop firm where the daily drawdown limit is 3%, you can set that in the settings of the EA
whic time frame do you rzecoomended?
With the Prop Firm Robots App, we look at performance of all robots on all time frames and use the best performer. The Free EA from this video is for the H1 time frame
i can only find the file extension in the download, the eas are not in the downloaded folder. pls help.
Hi revsamajibade, both the Mt4 and MT5 EAs are in the Zip file. Once you copy them into the Experts folder of either platform, and refresh, they will appear in the list in Navigator window. In MT5, you'll just need to compile it first. Simply open it once it's in the folder, and press compile at the top. Once you refresh the Navigator, you'll see the EA in the list.

Hi rakshithvs2498, it would depend where in the world you are. But a good VPS starts at around $15 per month. You can check out Contabo, but please don't take it as a personal recommendation.

Hi SimplyKross95, the EA was designed and created specifically for EURUSD M15 using the historical data. It could be that the strategy within the EA would be effective on different assets and timeframes, but you would need to install it onto those charts and run a backtest to see what the results would have been in the past.

Hi estebanzavala7682, have you extracted the files from the zip files? If you did, you'll have both the MT4 and MT5 version. Copy the mql4 file into your Experts folder in MT4. Then refresh your Navigator by right clicking and selecting Refresh, and it should be there. Then drag it onto your chart. Make sure to enable Auto Trading before copying the EA onto your chart.
I wasn’t able to configure the experts settings to match my $1million demo Account. The settings kept resetting, every time I tried to save the new lot size. What should I do?

Hi waltertrujillovallejo4838, it is possible that a trade won't open in a 24 hour period. It will open a trade when conditions are met according to the strategy rules in the EA, however, please ensure auto trading is enabled, and you enabled it before installing the EA onto your chart, and you see the smiley face in the top right hand corner of your chart.

The EA will work on a funded account, although it's been specifically created for challenges. If you do want to use it, I would recommend putting it on a demo account, monitoring it's performance, and only trading with it when it is in a profitable phase. And even then, with very small lot sizes to minimise your risk

If you wish to place the indciator over the chart you should do it yourself from the MT platform.

Hi achille1577, this will depend on a few factors. What is your risk appetite, leverage used, asset being traded. But you should never risk more than 5% of your total account on a trade.

Hi invisuno68, the older EAs I created for the challenge did not scale up, the newest one does. Yes, in the properties, you can select whether it scales up, and by how much, or not at all.

As long as you have installed it and attached it to the correct chart and timeframe, and you see a smiley face in the top right hand corner of your chart, the EA is active and will open trades when market conditions trigger the rules of the strategy

Hi nitindubeynikhil8131, the EA has been optimised for the currency pair it's trading. But the EA is yours to download and test in any way you wish. But, make sure to test on a demo account first, and run some backtests to get an idea of how it would perform with the new settings and assets

Hi samblu88, what do you mean it can't run? Have you followed the necessary steps? Copied it to the Experts folder, compiled the EA, refreshed the Navigator, enabled auto trading, dragged it onto the chart?
