    Hello Arijit Sir
    I am pleased to watch your lecture again and I have a Question-
    1) If electron has some probability of being found in any orbital
    Then Nucleus also should have some probability to be found away from centre , even outside the atom or at infinity?
    2) Can electron and nucleus of an atom have the probability of being found at one point in space?
    If it is possible then atom has some probability of being collapsed by the collision between electron and nucleus(they both will collide due to very strong ELECTROMAGNETIC Forces)?
    Sir , I apologize , but I have these questions in mind and imagination is greater than knowledge.
    Yours Faithfully
    Yash Srivastava

      @chemistrymaderousing-bytus2100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      nucleus has almost 10-5 times size the size of atom.. so it can't be outside.. now nucleus carries entire mass of atom as electron outside nucleus is almost 1837 times lighter than proton and electron.. so as per centre of mass concept , it is at centre of atom.. and second question of yours is only possible if electron can get inside the nucleus which is not possible.. try to prove it using Heisenberg principle.. if you take position uncertainty for an electron = size of nucleus = 10-15 m , then velocity uncertainty > speed of light .. so assumption of considering electron inside nucleus is highly rejected. Hope this helps.!

      May be the electron with up spin (lets) of an atomic orbital is present in earth then might their second electron that is with down spin may be found in moon at that time
