It pays well, and is challenging. Changes the way you see football, gives you a clearer view of the game and the rules. Helps you gain a new respect for the game and everything that makes it what it is, including referees and rules. It's not easy, but definitely something every football fan needs to try once in their life

Excelon The 4th Avalon Heir i agree that adding captions would be helpful for non-english speakers or english second language people but youtube does allow you to turn on auto generated captions for each video. they’re not the most accurate but definitely still really helpful.

Football referees are the least respected in any sport by the players. Its another reason why VAR can't work in this game and why it can in Union or Cricket.

You have people questioning your call all the time, calling you bias, arguing against you, distracting you and being sneaky, all almost pushed me to the edge and lose focus. People expect you to catch everything, but its impossible admit any fault then everything else gets questioned.

The refs in the prem need properly training, for saying they are professional (one of only two countries to have pro refs, Italy being the other) they are absolutely atrocious and it’s no wonder there are no English refs going to the World Cup, the FA needs to pull their finger out

I made a mistake once. Players told me that the ball went through the net so no goal. But i had a friend watching and he said the ball went in via the keeper witch i couldnt see because of a player standing in front of me. This was my biggest mistake, Whats yours?

Because when I was young the other kids wouldn't let me play with them, so I decided to become a referee and take my revenge.
