Wow..such a powerful deck!Judging from her overall work and the themes...I have a feeling that card 13 talks about self-harming rather than stretch marks, but I may be wrong. I just have to say thank you so much for sharing this wonderful deck. I purchased it after watching this video. It is giving me some incredibly meaningful readings right now. Sometimes they're even bringing tears to my eyes, in a good way. I absolutely adore the diversity in this deck. I'm finally seeing women that look like me (of size and disabled) in a deck and portrayed so beautifully. I'm finding this deck so helpful and meaningful right now. It's crazy cause, I just literally ordered these cards from Shein the words caught my attention, and the title thanks for reviewing this deck its beautiful everything I ever wanted.
7:45 I started to laugh to myself when you pointed out the cup of tea etc. around her. I can NOT do a shoulder stand, so I was looking at it thinking, “oh that would be really nice“ but then I realized that if I DID manage to get myself into that position, I would probably crash down - burning myself, killing the plant, and breaking the crystals in the process. The girl in the card is way more talented than I am! 🤣

I was so hoping you’d do a walkthrough of this one! I love love the art and concept. I was a little unsure because some of the keyword and phrase combos don’t make total sense to me. But it sounds like I just need to read her poetry collections to get more context! (Which I’ve been meaning to do anyway 😊)

I own this deck (and just drew a card from it this morning in fact - Flower) but I recently came across your channel and really enjoy your walkthrough videos, especially for decks I already own haha! They give me some additional insight and perspective on the deck, and sometimes reignite that initial spark I felt when I first opened the box myself.
Holy cow though, I started crying when you showed the Mirror card, not quite sure what's up with that!
I dropped a card the other day and when I went to grab it I crushed the card folding it in half!!! Be careful with your cards folks! (My deck just has a bit of extra personality now I suppose.)

I adore Amanda Lovelace poetry, I have 4 of her books and plan to collect them all. I am waiting patently waiting for my deck. You may also like Nikita Gill, Kat Lehmann, Alison Malee and Zack Grey as well, I can't recommend these authors enough. Nocturnal by wilder is amazing as well. Thank you so very much for the walkthrough.

The skin condition you were thinking of is Vitiligo. Its where pigment producing skin cells die or stop functioning resulting in a patch of discoloration. I literally was so moved by that card!
Also, totally hoping her next book in the series is called “The Unicorn wants you, not just a Maiden.” Mainly because I’m a hardcore unicorn nut, partially because purity culture is destructive and almost destroyed my mental health. 🤞🏻 she picks that title 😂
The sun card..is curious..since sun goes away sometimes..and we decide wether to let in again or not..i am not painting the sun back but sometimes i just picture it in my mind lol
I bought this deck and love love love the images! I just wish that several of the titles made more sense (e.g., Clover, Red, Castle, etc.). Perhaps they do in the context of her poetry, but since I don't have any of her books, I don't clearly make the connections and find the guidebook unhelpful 😕I would've preferred just the key phrases on their own! A beautiful deck all the same 💖
I totally see your point. Funny, I've just found myself kind of automatically not paying too much attention to the title and just rollin' with the key phrases, but agree that if the key phrases are where the 'meat' of the meaning is at, perhaps the titles really aren't needed. Another thing I realized is I wish that the guidebook referenced the poem title that inspired the card (unless that's what the card titles are... the title of the poem that inspired it?).
@@Lisa_Papez If that's the case, I didn't see any indication of that in the guidebook, but perhaps she mentioned it and I just missed it.
The skin pigmentation is called vitiligo....i cried when i saw that card as i have vitiligo...i ran and bought the deck and poetry book....thank you lisa..❤❤❤👏👏👏

I just picked up this deck second hand. As an older woman, I feel she missed an opportunity here. I do love the images but feel the guide book is lacking. Again, a missed opportunity. Thanks for your walkthrough.
