I had to study my dictionary the first time I got it, writing a table to understand the order. Now you elucidate well the disposal and why, thanks a lot.
@MotionlessGround I am glad this helped. I decided to make this video because there were not many explaining this and I tried my best here. I'm not perfect, but it's always good to hear I helped someone who wants to learn Korean. thanks.
I have a question about the double consonants~ ㄱ & ㄲ for example; do all the words that starts with ㄱ come before the ones that starts with ㄲ, or will it be like 가다, 까치, 거기 and so on?
actually, both of them begin with a consonant, remember, even though "ㅇ" doesn't have any sound at the beginning of the syllable, it is a consonant :) so, the same thing would apply as she just explained "ㅊ" comes before "ㅇ", so "책" would come before " 의자" :)
Is this the correct ABC order of Hangul? Start with consonants: “ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅇ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, ㅎ, ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, ㅉ” then continue on with the vowels: ㅏ, ㅐ, ㅑ, ㅒ, ㅓ, ㅔ, ㅕ, ㅖ, ㅗ, ㅘ, ㅙ,ㅚ, ㅛ,ㅜ, ㅝ, ㅞ, ㅟ, ㅠ, ㅡ, ㅢ, ㅣ Also what is a good print and online dictionary that you would recommend?
What if you have a word that begins with a consonant and one that begins with a vowel? Which one comes first? Ex: 책 and 의자 which word would come first and why?
@MrsPeppy Hi Mrs Peppy. To write Wayne, it's best not to separate "a" from the "w". What I mean by that is you should look at "wa" together and write 웨인. hope your computer can show Korean letters. My suggestion to you is, Never try to change each English Alphabet letter to Korean. Because it will never work. Try to say out loud slowly and see where you can divide the syllable because 1 syllable word won't always be 1 syllable in Korean. Just like Wayne, it has 1 syllable but in Korean it has2
Hello Rinji! I'm interested learning hangul, how do you write my name STEFANIE in Korean alphabet? Your tutorial seems so easy to understand but I'm having a hard time on how to place the letters or symbols in order. Waiting for your reply! :)
@MrsPeppy Basically you should turn Wayne into "Wa - in" I hope it makes sense to you. And about the other question, a syllable with four characters, I guess you're talking about something like 맑 or 삶 like this??? How to read those ALWAYS depends on the next letter. If you have the next letter starting with ㅇ, such as 아. then you can read 맑아 "mal-ga" or 삶아 "sal-ma"
@RockGodFuck Wow so you already know Japanese and Chinese? Although Korean is a complete different language, it should help you in some vocabulary like you said. I'm glad you like my videos and hope you master Korean soon. Then you will speak 4 languages... now I'm jealous. haha
@RockGodFuck I don't speak Japanese although I learned little bit here and there.. so I don't know much about it but.. I didn't thing we had that many vocabulary in common.. but then.. I guess... some Korean words are based on Chinese letters so maybe those might be similar. But I do know that we have the same sentence structure unlike English or Chinese. Since you know Japanese and Korean, you would master Korean in no time! 5 languages, huh? That's crazy!!! :)

Thanks for this, it's really helpful!
You're correct! Thanks for answering the question for me. :)
Also I wanted to know:
Why do we have to know the order of words? Why can't we just look up one word at a time in any order?
Thanks for your help!
If you ever tried to find a word in a dictionary in any language, you would understand

Sorry I didn't see this comment until now. 가다 - 거기 - 까치 would be the right order. Treat ㄲ as an independent consonant just like ㄴ or ㄷ.
너 는 훌륭한 교 사 야😚
