- The Leopard 2 is a German battle tank originally developed to replace the M48 Patton tanks used by the Bundeswehr and to evolve alongside the Leopard 1 already in service. The Leopard 2 outperformed the latter in terms of mobility, protection and firepower. Its good reputation is internationally recognized.

In the WW1 the first tanks appeared... they were only buildings of Steel on Wheels with Men inside... After the rise of the NSDAP the Germans began to improve their Tanks
In WW1, Tanks were only for support, they became very important in WW2.
