Great condition on your animals mate! I’ve been looking into Mashonas. Johann Zietsman makes a compelling argument for them. We are currently running South Poll cattle, but a Mashona bull might spice things up. Whats the carrying capacity of your land there? Keep up the fine work 👍
We keep finding more land and increasing the capacity. Retaining every female we can. Thanks for the kind words - I love South Poll cattle! Mashona would make a fantastic cross in my opinion!
The Names of the Cows do actually make sense...as with the Nguni Cow that Charges, only when its being miliked. Any Farmer Commercial or Homestead you need a Cow like that. If there were Rains &/Cattle get lost thats the one the lead back home..contrary to what people would say a Bull. I hope you kept it.
Just thought the mashona and nguni attitude problem was an environmental thing with herders...its funny to hear that they have a attitude problem down under...it can be added as a trait like the brahman temperament 😅

@@wolkifarm it’s what I’m considering.
Good on ya for getting rid of attitude problems.

I love what you do
What are the Nguni cross growth rates like?
Is there any Nguni Semen available to export out of Australia?
many cows in the herd that are of much better quality than the bulls being used over them

I just had 2 first cross cows that have issues, the purebreds are fine
